Overview

One soul bound mate...one quest to find her.

Year 1211, Scottish Highlands.

Duncan MacKenzie is the Laird of Ardan House, an honorable and fierce Highland warrior on the chase for a band of enemy warriors who are intent on his destruction, only as he hunts them down, he runs into a lass who poses the greatest challenge. He's drawn to the dark-haired enchantress who holds the fae ability to compel, a lass also intent on finding her brother who travels with the band of men he currently hunts. At every turn, she challenges his steely resolve, captivates and enthralls him, as well as unleashes his passion when it's never arisen for another woman before.

Spirited lass Ella Matheson is stunned to discover that the maddeningly rugged warrior hunting down her brother is the very man who makes her heart beat faster and her soul lift higher—a man who is her soul bound mate. Finding her chosen one within the enemy's ranks stuns her, yet she's never given up a challenge, and now she's bound and determined to bind this man who should be her enemy, right to her side.

Theirs is a battle of rivalry and dare, of untamed passion rising strong and true, and of a journey to forge the bond between two mates during a time of war.

Another 5++ Star Book!! As always, Joanne Wadsworth does not disappoint! Joanne is an amazing author who will sweep right into the Highlands with her wonderful stories and characters. You will feel as if you are truly apart of her book and will not want them to end! I loved Highlander's Caress! What's not to love? Sexy Highland Warriors, strong Highland lasses, love and the occasional mishap. Duncan is the Highland Warrior of woman's dreams. He is sexy, rugged and loyal to a fault. He finds himself falling for a Fae lass who he cannot resist. Ella holds the skill to compel anyone to her will and is determined to find her chosen one, and save her brother. When these two meet, sparks fly and they must overcome obstacles to try to be together. I cannot wait for the next book, thank you Ms Wadsworth for another wonderful Highland adventure!

This is a great book; this is the second book in The Fae series written by Joanne Wadsworth. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the other books in this series. Duncan MacKenzie is the Laird of Ardan House, an honorable and fierce Highland warrior on the chase for a band of enemy warriors who are intent on his destruction, only as he hunts them down, he runs into a lass who poses the greatest challenge. He’s drawn to the dark-haired enchantress who holds the fae ability to compel, a lass also intent on finding her brother who travels with the band of men he currently hunts. At every turn, she challenges his steely resolve, captivates and enthralls him, as well as unleashes his passion when it’s never arisen for another woman before. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

Duncan MacKenzie wants peace on his lands. He's a fierce warrior as well as an honorable man. Unfortunately his father is not which leads to more deaths. As Duncan tries to stop a band of enemy warriors bent on his destruction, he meets Ella Matheson. She's a fae who holds the ability to compel people to her wishes. He's drawn to her by a powerful force as she is to him. Are they soul bound mates? Duncan is a wonderful hero. I liked him. He cares for others and is protective of his people. Ella is a feisty, stubborn lass. She doesn't want to be sheltered and locked away from danger. She's determined to use her powers to bring about peace. The chemistry between these two is amazing. I loved seeing them together. Their love and passion drew me in and kept me reading. I wanted them to have their HEA. I smiled when they called each other "my grumpy one". Their playfulness brightened this action packed story. Joanne Wadsworth always entertains me with her writing. Her characters are charismatic, her dialogue sparkles and her plots always have plenty of action and drama. I'm loving The Fae series. The Scottish Highlands are perfect for love and adventure. I can't wait for Coll's story. Duncan's twin deserves his turn. I received a copy in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

Highlander's Caress by Joanne Wadsworth is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. The characters are well developed and fun to read. Ella, the heroine of this fae tale has just enough sass to make her interesting. Ella and Duncan's story is full of action, drama, humor, sizzle and things paranormal. I loved reading Highlander's Caress and look forward to reading more from Joanne Wadsworth in the future. Highlander's Caress is book 2 of The Fae Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I received an advance reader copy of this book for review purposes.

This book continues with the adventures of the MacKenzie clan and focuses on Duncan trying to settle the fighting between the MacDonald clan. However, he didn't expect to meet his destiny and soul mate. As he approaches the MacDonald fortress to offer his hand in marriage to bring the fighting to an end, his father (Colin MacKenzie) betrays him and starts a war while Duncan is negotiating. In steps Ella Matheson (Fae blood and compeller) compelling them to stop fighting and leave MacDonald fortress. Duncan is impressed with Ella and wants to get to know her better more ways than one, but leaves for now. They meet by accident in a tavern and sparks fly. Ella knows that Duncan is her soul mate, but now she must try to make him understand that it is destiny. In steps Cherub (Fae Princess) and creates a storm that will force Ella and Duncan to admit their soul bonds to each other. The passion between them can't be denied, but can they survive the war of the clans raging around them? Love and sacrifice can tear a relationship if one truly gives from the heart or does it make the heart grow stronger? Joanne Wadsworth creates a world that a reader can get lost in and never leave. If you love hot and sexy with a HEA, this book is for you. I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review. 5 Koala paws Can be read as a standalone Passion is Hot and Sexy

They start out as enemies but they'll end up with an HEA. Duncan MacKenzie is in search of a group of people that are determined to destroy him, but between him and the enemy is Ella Matheson. Ella has a unique skill and that is that she can compel people to do what she wants. Ella recognizes that Duncan is her soulmate but she doesn't want to compel him--he has to want her on his own. The real problem is that the enemies Duncan is fighting is the same group Ella is looking for to save her brother. Lots of action, likeable characters and a nice story with paranormal elements. If you've been keeping up with the Mathesons, you know about their unique abilities which are connected to their fae blood. The stories in the series have all been enjoyable. (I voluntarily reviewed an ARC).

Duncan never had a chance! Ha! I so enjoy how this author weaves her stories, especially in this series. There is always hot passion, danger, adventure, fae magic, humor, etc, to make them an interesting read from start to end. Duncan MacKenzie has lived his life hiding the fact that he and his twin actually have fae blood in them but when he meets Ella Matheson and she declares that he's her soul mate, he tries to steer her away but as I said at the beginning of my review, he never stood a chance! lol I love it when the hero is such a braw alpha male and the heroine is a spitfire....fireworks are sure to follow:) Amidst their discovery of each other, they are also on a quest to find the enemy warriors responsible for destroying Duncan's land and to make peace with the enemy clan. I received an ARC of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I really enjoyed this story with the adventures and the spice. Ella is a wonderful woman. She does what she can using her fae ability to stop the bloodshed between the MacDonalds and the Mackenzies. She meets Duncan and the two begin bonding. Duncan is a caring man despite the mistreatment from his father growing up. Several obstacles come between them, but I watched as they worked out their problems. I recommend this story. I was given a copy of this story in exchange for an honest review.
