About the Author

Jamie Siebrase grew up in the city, on asphalt tennis courts and groomed soccer fields. Her first camping trip was a three-day, hike-in, teambuilding excursion with AmeriCorps St. Louis — and after that, she was hooked. Jamie has hiked all over Colorado with her husband and children from their home base in Denver. When she isn’t on an adventure, she’s writing features for a variety of publications, including Outside, Trail Runner and Elevation Outdoors. Her long-form journalism has appeared on the cover of Westword, and she was a guest columnist for The Denver Post. Jamie’s sons, Jon and Brian, share their mom’s enthusiasm for hiking. Their stamp of approval ensures selected hikes are actually fun for kids.
