I'm about to throw an ashtray at my boss's head.

Turns out, the mind behind my favorite, steamy romance novels...the ones I only read in private...the ones that are my only escape after a long day of dealing with The Boss From Hell? It's not Natalie McBride, the sweet, rural housewife.

It's him.

That's right: my boss, Adrian Risinger, the thirty-three-year-old, maddeningly sexy, pissant billionaire "bad boy" who thinks he runs my life. He is also the author of all my deepest, most secret fantasies. And to make matters worse, he needs me to impersonate "Natalie" at a series of book signings and conventions. But, of course, that's only if I want to keep my job.

On second thought, I'm going to need something heavier than an ashtray.

**I received a copy of this story for an honest review This book is about Meghan, a hard-working secretary who works for Adrian Risinger a billionaire jerk that only she can seem to deal with. One night she stumbles on a book series about a secretary that hooks up with her boss. As many of us can relate, she devours all of the books as soon as she can. Not too long after, When her boss has another impossible task for her, she finds out he's actually the author of said books and he wants her to pose as the author. Things take a very different turn from there. Let me start by saying that one of my favorite things about this book is Meghan and her personality. The way she is written, you are really taken in with her and everything she is going through. You really see her moods shift and feel what she's going through as she does. She's very funny, strong, independent and even during the negative part of the book, she doesn't change and stays true to herself. I also like the way Adrian is written. He is an emotionally stinted billionaire who, rather than deal with an emotional entanglement, writes books to try to get it out of his system. He's not one of stereotypical ones in many books where they're just cold until the right woman comes around and then they're just automatically fixed. I really loved these two characters and can't wait to read more from this author.

Unloveable characters and behavior. Swearing in place of dialog. How many dom billionaires do we need?

I really enjoyed this book. I read it in about 8 hours. It was exactly what I was looking for. I mindless romance story to read over fall break. There were some parts that didn't make sense, and even more that could have used more details. But if you're looking for a perfectly written novel, you're browsing the wrong genre. The banter between those two will have you laughing out loud. And the sex? well lets just say you'll be begging for more.

I must say I was really pleasantly surprised at how the story went. It was just swooning to see the other side of Adrian. I would have hated him the same if I had such a boss but never did I expect the twist in this story. I loved that Meg was such a sweetie and have a heart of gold. She is fiesty, outgoing despite having insecurities about herself. I really enjoyed the chemistry build up between Adrian & Meghan. I couldn't help but gave a sigh at the end of the book. I just didn't want it to end this soon even though it was filled with quite a few swooning and warm fuzzy moments and a perfect ending. This is my first book by this author and I look forward to reading more. I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Good read. I liked the storyline. Makes you wonder just how many men may be writing the books that woman can't get enough of. But the middle got a little slow. Both were so needy, and so lacking in self confidence. But I liked the ending. Will keep my eye on this author.

Meghan loves author Natalie McBride and her steamy novels. They are her only escape from her Boss From Hell. When Meghan finds out her beloved Natalie is really her Boss From Hell Adrian Risinger, the billionaire bad boy who makes her life hell. Adrian needs Meghan to impersonate "Natalie" at a series of book signings and conventions so he threatens her job. This was a cute, funny, HOT, steamy book. Meghan's attitude is off the charts and Adrian is every Alpha male dream come true. Melanie Marchande is definitely an author I will continue to read.

I really liked this book there was enough steam and spice and enough angst for me to get emotional and want to read it all in one day. Now for the bad thing, before I say anything negative I want to say I am not a prude and many times when I have read other novels where the heroine gets angry and curses I love it and give her mental high fives, but this herione seemed to curse more than the friggin hero, she passed the line between cursing and being crude ,I couldnt like her for it, it seems the cursing was added to make the herione look tough but it was somuch cursing it just made the herione seem cheap in my opinion

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review, even though the author is on my automatic pre-order list and I had it purchased anyway. Adrian and Meghan are the strangest HEA couple I have read in a long time – and I loved it! They are not lovey-dovey and coo all over each other. These two? Snarky to the max – a quality I quite enjoy. The book is all about the working relationship between these two and boy Howdy, do they push each other’s buttons. Both of them have major self issues (esteem, if you like) that keep them from putting themselves on the line. Melanie Marchande really told a funny, sexy, steamy story that kept me reading until I was through. I have enjoyed other books by Ms. Marchande and I will continue to read ‘em as soon as she writes ‘em. Even though there were some deep issues in this book (let’s say I wanted to smack Mom…) it was a very enjoyable read. Ms. Marchande wrote the story so that you never felt used and abused as a reader. You won’t be sorry you decided to pick this one up.

It was ok. I liked the banter between the characters but some of the things within the story didn't seem believable. Also the main character had a real issue with controlling her emotions. One minute everything was fine, the next she was throwing a tantrum.
