About the Author

Sharon Swint and her family moved to Colorado Springs in the late 1960s. She believes, as city founder General Palmer did, that home is not where you were born but where your heart is. A member of several historical groups, she is currently on the board of the Old Colorado City Historical Society. Sharon, along with her oldest son, is the author of a book on Van Briggle pottery and is an avid collector. She is married with four adult children and six grandchildren.
