About the Author
He grew up near Cleveland, Ohio, and right after high school headed to college in Florida. After earning degrees in mathematics and anthropology at what is now the University of Central Florida in Orlando, he attended the University of Florida and there received degrees in law and taxation. A love of the outdoors and a fascination with local history gave him one of his favorite hobbies-leading historical tours in the communities of Florida. Hundreds of such tours have been attended by thousands of individuals, who are led through historic neighborhoods, downtowns, and cemeteries such as the one in Newnansville, where Steve's photo above was taken. Steve's other books include Historic Photos of Florida Tourist Attractions, also available from Turner Publishing.
