Hope Restored (Gallagher Brothers, #3) by Carrie Ann Ryan

The Gallagher Brothers series from NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan concludes with the final brother who thought he had everything to look forward to, and the one woman who can handle him.

Life isn’t worth living if you don’t fight to live. That’s what Murphy Gallagher learned at a young age when cancer ravaged his body not once, but twice. Over the course of his survival, he lost his parents and his childhood, but he’s been healthy for years and has become a man he hopes his family is proud of. But when his world tilts on its axis yet again, he’ll have to learn what it means to fight not only the unknown but also his attraction to his best friend.

Tessa Stone works hard and plays harder. She’s spent her life trying to figure out who she is in the present rather than looking back. Yet when she’s forced into close proximity with Murphy, she’ll have to not only be his rock but learn how to relax enough to maybe let him be hers, as well. But seduction doesn’t stop when the world seems to, and close encounters of the naked kind might just be the first step in something much more complicated than either of them bargained for. Life, though, is for living, after all.

Enjoyed this as much as the others In the series.

I have loved this series but was very disappointed with the ending. It felt like the author either ran out of time or didn't know where to take the story so she just ended it. I really don't like it when authors do that. I invested my money and time and kind of wish I hadn't. I will say I liked the book until the ending. Sorry Carrie but you left your readers hanging.

Well as usual, Ms Ryan has written another winner. This story is about Murphy Gallagher, lead architect in the business he owns jointly with his brothers. Murphy is the Gallagher who was sick with cancer as a child but has been in remission for years. But at a family gathering he is horsing around with one of the children and his good friend Tessa notices his back is badly bruised afterwards. Everyone is upset as they realize that his cancer is probably back. Thus the tone is set for the story as Murphy starts treatments for the cancer, then finds out he is losing the apartment he has rented for years and has no place to go. Tessa's boyfriend Brent suggests he move in with Tessa since she just lost her roommate, Liz. The story takes several twists and turns from that point on and the reader is lead on a wild ride that, fortunately, has a happy ending. A great read.

I really loved and enjoyed this one. This is really a wonderful series that I am sad to see go because I just love these brothers and there family so much! Murphy is just a really wonderful guy and I really felt for him in this book. I loved that he was able to overcome everything in his life and find the women of his dreams. I have enjoyed this series and can't wait to see what the author does with the rest of the family.

The sexy and serious conclusion to the Gallagher Brothers series makes it a perfect Contemporary Romance trifecta. Carrie Ann Ryan guide the reader through the best friends to lovers romance for the youngest Gallagher brother, Murphy. He's struggling to process the change in his feelings for his best friend Jenna. Murphy also is facing the reoccurrence of Cancer in his life. Carrie Ann Ryan gentles Murphy and Jenna's tumultuous romance by easing off the angst. She allows the characters to let events happen and not question too much. Both characters have baggage, guilt, and daily stress to deal with. Jenna and Murphy worry a lot about losing each other if their romance doesn't work out. Murphy's recent Cancer diagnosis makes them realize not giving in to their love, would be the bigger regret. Carrie Ann Ryan adds a threat from Jenna's past to round out the drama. Carrie Ann Ryan packs happiness, heartbreak, and hope into "Hope Restored". And she does it with a riveting storyline, brisk pace, and charming and engaging characters. All four Gallagher brothers are in attendance as is all of their significant others and offspring. Jenna is a strong Heroine with the perfect balance of vulnerability, confidence, and brains. Murphy's able to wield his charm and dirty mouth while dealing with the latest attack to his body by Cancer. He is more introspective yet still is delightfully carnal. Carrie Ann Ryan can definitely rock the sexy times with her signature cunniligus-loving, dirty talking Heroes. There is a character who suffers a great loss in the book who I hope we see again. With the ties the Gallagher brothers have with the Montgomery Ink series family. I believe the odds are in her favor. "Hope Restored" is a fabulous bittersweet series finale. Not a great or even good ending to a series. Plot and characters fell flat. No really story. I felt like it was to much about the problem and not about them. And because of this it made me feel as if Ms. Ryan was just writing to finish her contact and get a paycheck.

I'm kind of sad to see that this is the end of the Gallagher Brothers series. I loved them all! Murphy most of all has captured my heart fully. It broke for him, cried for him, and eventually loved for him. I was sad in some parts of the journey that he had to go through all over again. I was afraid for him Carrie writes through the emotions so well that you sometimes feel them as your own. We met Tessa in the previous book as Liz's best friend and former roommate. I laughed at the banter which was down right sexy between Murphy and Tessa. They truly started off as great friends. Then it eventually grows into something more. But Murphy's life is turned upside down by events that are out of his control. All we can do is hope for the best. Tessa shows her loyalty by staying by his side, even through the scary stuff. Murphy puts Tessa first when she runs into danger. There was some sad moments that had me teary eyed. All in all if I could give Hope Restored 10 stars, I would in a heart beat! I love Carrie Ann Ryan's writing and can not wait to continue on with the Montgomery Ink clan.

If I could give this book ten stars, I would! Carrie Ann can do no wrong (in my eyes). In Hope Restored, she brings it in a big way. The characters were awesome, and the story just flowed perfectly. I am not ashamed to say that I found my eyes filled with tears (more than once), that I found myself laughing out loud (with my honey casting weird looks my way), and that my heart was absolutely singing as I came to the end of the story. If you haven't yet read a book by this author, do yourself a favor and one click on every single book she's put out. You won't be disappointed. I was lucky enough to be provided with an ARC of this book and this is definitely my honest opinion on it.

Overall I certainly enjoy reading Book 3 of The Gallagher Brothers Series Carrie Ann Ryan has created a very powerful captivating story, with fascinating characters that can engage your attention from the beginning to the end of the book. This story reminds me that if anything can happen it will happen, since we don't know when or if cancer will tear your world apart. It's better to tell those you love that you love them every day and live your life to the fullest. This is Murphy Gallagher and Tessa Stone story. Murphy is the youngest in his family, he loves being the favorite uncle. But he had to learned at a young age that you have to fight to make life worth living especially when cancer ravages your body. Tessa is the type of woman that works hard at her job and lives for now. So what happens when fate brings together two people who both like to flirt and they think it's harmless fun but they forget about their close association until their attraction to each other explodes changing both their lives forever. WOW! This is one really captivating story that you'lI enjoy and can't stop reading it or put your reader down. There is plenty of drama, witty arguments that keep you turning page after page. I have to admit this book will keep you on the edge of your seat for most of this story. It's so emotional that you will need a box of Kleenex and maybe someone to help put out the fire along with a fan or two. I have always enjoyed reading Carrie Ann Ryan books because she is a Awesome writer who is charming and very sweet person that's easy to admire. I am one of her book stalkers. The characters are engaging with the kind of sensual sexy scenes that will put a blush on your face for awhile to come. But I must say that I found myself laughing out loud at times during this story. So if you are in need of a phenomenal book to read this summer. Then buy Hope Restored Gallagher Brothers Book 3, but I am sad that this is the last Gallagher brother book but I know the next book she writes with be another PHENOMENAL Read! I voluntarily reviewed this book, because I love sharing my thoughts with my fellow readers. for certain. and voluntarily chose to share my honest review.

Such a good series! So sad to see it 'ending'!! Note - this is the last in a series about the 3 Gallagher brothers so I would highly suggest that you read books 1 & 2 first to make sure you understand all the characters in this book. A great story about Murphy, the last Gallagher brother, who has had a tough go in life - and it isn't over yet. Will he and his friend Tessa be able to get it together and stop wasting time before it's too late? A heartwarming friends-to-lovers story that doesn't disappoint! Highly recommend the whole series!

I loved this story! The very best from Carrie Ann. The characters are always amazing, but this story has so much emotion attached to it. Everyone has someone in their life who has suffered through or died from cancer so this story is very relatable. Murphy has not only been through cancer once but three times...life is so cruel sometimes...he faces it yet again with courage and strength...and a lot of love and support from family, friends and a very special lady...Tessa. I don't want to say to much and spoil the story...but, I wonder if there might be more to their story later. I hope you pick up a copy of Hope Restored today. Happy Reading:) **I voluntarily received an ARC of Hope Restored and this is my honest review**

This story was a bit of a heart breaker, if you or anyone you know has ever dealt with Cancer you know that fear of it coming back is always at the back of your mind and for Murphy this is his third bout with it. We watch as he undergoes treatments and reconnects with old friends while taking his relationship with his best friend into uncharted territory. Tessa and Murphy are good together and I think the fact that they weighed the options of becoming involved vs. staying just friends was a wise one. I do believe that there was no way they wouldn't become more than just friends, they always had a flirty banter going on and it was clear to everyone that they were attracted to one another. Yes Murphy has a lot going on right now but what better way to get through it all than with your best friend by your side. I really enjoyed reading about Tessa and Murphy and while this is the last of the Gallagher Brothers series I know they will be popping up again in other books since they are so closely intertwined with the Montgomery Family (Montgomery Ink) and I cannot wait to see what the future holds for them. **I Voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book**

This is the third and final book in the Gallagher brothers trilogy, and Wow! I've always loved a friends to lovers romance, but Murphy and Tessa really are such an amazing couple. This entire series has been full of feelings for me, but Hope Restored had me in tears from the beginning. I think I went through every emotion imaginable with this book. Sadness, fear, joy, terror. That, to me, is the mark of a great book. When you experience real emotions, along with a true feeling of getting to know the characters. And I couldn't help but feel like the characters were real in this book. Ms. Ryan always has amazingly strong characters in her books, but Murphy has been battling cancer his entire life, and still has an awesome outlook and a happy disposition. Even when he is afraid or upset or exhausted, he still has that personality that makes you want to be around him. And Tessa! A true friend, loyal and loving to everyone. For her to jump into the relationship with Murphy. It's just pure beauty! Another amazing story from Carrie Ann Ryan!

Carrie Ann Ryan wraps up the Gallagher Brothers with the lovable Murphy. This book is so good. It's heartbreaking as books involving cancer often are but there is a strength and a deep love in Murphy and Tessa's journey through this that is so inspiring. I love the Montgomery's and the Gallagher's and knowing Carrie Ann - we are sure to see them pop up again!

I love this series so much! I could not wait until we got to Murphy because the youngest of the bunch is usually the most interesting and Murphy sure is interesting! I loved the banter between him Tessa in Passion Restored so I couldn't wait to see them together in his book. I love all of the brothers but I've always had a soft spot for Murphy. I hate that everything happened to Murphy, but I'm so glad Tessa and his family were there! They made the best of the horrible situation that they faced. Love it so much and can't wait to see what she releases next!

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of the book. Murphy is my favorite Gallagher... There, I said it. This book. Oh my heart! It is my favorite Carrie Ann Ryan book to date. How she was able to imbue so much anguish, and hope, and love, and hotness in to one package is beyond me. Hope Restored has solidified her place as a must read author for me - in fact, now I'm certain that I need to have all of her books in hard copies on my shelves, because she deserves my $. I don't think the book warrants a trigger warning, but keep a box of tissues handy, especially if cancer has touched your life. This book tells the story of two damaged people finding love, the strong bonds of family (blood and those we choose), and HOPE in a way that only Carrie Ann Ryan can pen. 5 out of 5 wine glasses, no question (though I sort of want to take a quarter of a point off because it's the last of the Gallagher's).

Powerfully written, emotionally gripping, edge of your seat, heart-string pulling, true to life struggle for hope and happiness. I am simply blown away by this amazing journey and conclusion to this highly entertaining series. Murphy Gallagher is so amazing in every way, strong, funny and brilliantly charming, his story is equally heart breaking and uplifting. Tessa Stone is sassy, strong, fun and no stranger to heartbreak. Their was so many tears and some laughter but most of a huge amount of family bounding that just makes you want to be a part of this loud, loving group.

This is the 3rd book in the offshoot series about the Gallagher brothers and it is definitely the one I have been waiting for. Murphy always came across as this happy go lucky man in the previous books, and he truly is because of what he went through as a child and teen. He learned the hard way that you have to live life to it's fullest because it's so easy to lose it. Tessa is the best friend of Liz from the second book. Her and Murphy have always flirted but never took it any farther than that because they didn't want to ruin their friendship and make things weird. But then Murphy has his world rocked and needs a place to stay. Tessa has the room and lets him move in as her roommate. Now that they are forced into close proximity, the sparks fly! I loved this book! Tessa and Murphy are perfect for each other and they made me laugh. And then you throw in what is going on with Murphy, and that will break your heart. At one point I was crying over what happens. And then when Tessa has something from her past crop up? It just pulled everything together for me! I loved every part of this book and am so glad it lived up to my expectations! I'm sorry to see this part of it end but I know I will see them again in other off shoots!

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! Murphy thought that he was cancer free. Then he found out that that the cancer is back. Murphy will fight w/ everything to be cancer free again. Tessa has her own demons to fight. Now, she also had to fight her attraction for the Yummy Gallagher. How can she resist ? He is Yummy. Murphy lost the lease, so Tessa offered the extra bedroom at her house. This close proximity is killing her.but it is also killing him. Murphy + Tessa will have to figure out if it is worth it to give love a chance. The story was to me was so sweet. Friends becoming lovers, then falling in love. Ahhh! I did not want to book to end. I hope to read about the Gallaghers on the Montgomery's spin off. ( Pretty Please! )

Hope Restored by Carrie Ann Ryan is an emotional ending to the Gallagher Brothers series. Murphy is a fighter. He's already survived cancer twice when it returns once again. Always he has the love and support of his family but with marriages and pregnancies he doesn't feel he should burden than he has to be. So he turns to his friend Tessa for support and a place to stay. Close quarters force the hot attraction that they have been fighting to blaze out of control. Drama, passion, heartbreak, suspense and love add to this books appeal. I am posting an honest review of this book after reading an ARC copy of the book.

Hope Restored is the final installment in the Gallagher Brothers series by Carrie Ann Ryan. These books stand alone just fine on their own. I've been waiting a long time to finally read Murphy's story and it certainly did not disappoint. Ms. Ryan definitely put me through the wringer with this one. Murphy beat cancer growing up, not once but twice so I suspected this one was certainly going to be an emotional whirlwind and indeed it was. The sparks flew between Tessa and Murphy right from the start and that initial shower scene was super hot! Oh! My! Gosh! Ms. Ryan pulled out all the stops on this one. Even though this is the final installment in this series I sincerely hope we get to see more of the Gallagher family in upcoming cross-over Montgomery Ink stories.

Murphy and Tessa will steal your heart. This story about broke my heart as any fight with cancer will do. The strength of the will to live and love is what gets everyone including the reader through. I think the author delights in bringing her readers to tears just so the joy at resolution will be that much brighter. This is a terrific read.

I love the Montgomery Ink series and all its relatives. My only question, please tell me Murphy is in remission or better yet cured!!!
