About the Author

Born and raised in Vienna, Austria, I moved to the UK for undergrad studies in 1994 and since then have lived in Paris, Boston and London. I have an MA from Cambridge University, an MBA from Harvard Business School, and spent 6 years in strategy consulting before moving into senior commercial roles. Highlights include starting the new London-Amsterdam service for Eurostar and more recently building Trainline's non-UK business by shuttling between Paris, Milan and Barcelona. Now based in South-West London, I'm head chef for my wife Abi and my kids Claudia (17) and Tobi (14) while also trying to stay fit through orienteering, running and football refereeing - unless of course I'm off on yet another trip to somewhere new.I truly hope that my book will help accelerate your career, or at least leave you with some thought-provoking ideas. Oh, and that you have a bit of fun along the way. Otherwise, what's the point?
