Overview

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow by Francis Ray

In her mind's eyes, she could see Wes, tall and elegant in his tailored tuxedo with a patterned vest, black tie, and snow white pocket square. Her red Valentino slip gown highlighted her honeyed complexion and chocolate brown eyes. The gown also picked up the red in Wes's vest and the red in the rose in his lapel.

They were the perfect couple and it was show time. And she wanted to scream.

Madison Reed, popular talk show host and America's darling and her husband, well-known TV correspondent Wes Reed is everyone's idea of the perfect couple. But no one knows that after the loss of their child, they became no more than polite strangers, maintaining the façade, revealing only picture perfect happiness. But Madison's world is turned upside down when Wes is critically injured in a car accident and a woman is killed. Before he dies, Wes confesses that the woman who was killed was his mistress—-and that he is the father of her nine-month-old daughter, Manda. He begs Madison to raise the child. Unsure if she can, Madison struggles to take charge of her fate and put her life back together. Overwhelmed, she accepts the help of Zachary Holman, her husband's best friend, only to discover that his life is also shrouded by lies. Can she forgive and forget—-not just once, but twice?

I absolutely loved this book. This was the second novel that I read by Francis Ray and I truly enjoyed it. She creates these colorful, richly drawn characters who find happiness, love, and serenity in places, and with people whom they least expected.I appreciated how Mrs. Ray introduced black protagonists in the novel who were members of the upper echelon. I enjoyed reading a novel about successful African-Americans. This novel was beautifully done and I look forward to reading other titles by this author.

I loved this book, and I've read about 4 of her novels. I recommend her books and any by Brenda Jackson because they are so well written it makes you feel like you're there, and like you know the people.

This is the first book i've read by this author. I enjoyed the story line and the plot. The secrets were pretty easy to figure out. Still I couldn't help allowing myself to think that somehow they weren't at all what I thought they were, but they were. I would recommend this book to other's.

I loved the book, I was born and raised in Dallas and could relate to the areas around the city. I love when books are written around Dallas or in Texas. It's always nice also to see African American characters that you can relate to, middle to upper middle class and living large. Yet they still had their problems, which goes to show you money can't buy you love.

It was good but it was kind of hard to believe that these things occured during a six week period. Zachary's secrets were also very predictable....not much thought was given too figure it out.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I couldnt stop reading to find out what was going to happen next, this book had me asking myself if I was in the same situation could I do what she had the courage to do.

I Know Who Holds Tomorrow (IKWHT) was a great book, in which the story line was well written. IKWHT was more realistic than any love story I've read in some time. Madison's character was exactly how most women respond to professional husbands. Zachary was a true friend and his character indicated exactly how dependable/reliable friends should be. Each character had story lines that made you really think about the people you encounter one on one, everyday. Zachary was my favorite (loved him) character. I hope McFadden would agree that God holds tomorrow, not man or child.

I usually don't do this but this book was so good I had to let you know! I've read alot of books but this one was different it was something I think anyone can enjoy. I am going to get her other books because this one was great! I picked this book but wasn't really sure I wanted it and I am so happy I did purchase it, it was worth every penny. Well done!

I saw this book in the library, and picked it up with no intention of reading it. (Don't ask why, long story!) I read one page of it that night, after getting the book, and I couldn't put it down. It completely held me to the very last page. That book was a page-turner, although I admit, I haven't real any other novels by Francis Ray, I think by far she out did herself with this one; after reading this one I plan too read more novels by her. I'm an avid reader, so reading this book was no biggie. I fell in love with Zach, he was such a sweet heart. If there are any GOOD BOOKS anyone plans on reading, then its got too be this one.

What a wonderful book to read on the weekend and share with others to. I couldn't put this awesome book down and had to tell everyone about it. This book will make my gift list this year for sure. I Know Who Holds Tomorrow brings characters like, Madison, Wes, Manda, Mr.& Mrs. Reed and many more to center stage. It's filled with drama, suspense, love, etc. It's a book that keeps you on the edge of your sit for sure. You'll come to see what lies, mistrust and disloyality can do to relationships. This book teaches you how to live in the moment, through it all and claim the power and victory. Ultimately, you learn what it means to forgive someone you love, when they've destroyed your trust and love for them. I look forward to reading this beauitfully written book again soon. Francis out did herself on this one for sure. My book club had a wondeful heated discussion about this book and yours will too. BRAVO Francis.

I read this book over night. I planned to put it down and start back the next day, but I ended up finishing it at 7am. This book also had me crying several times during the night. I love reading and there are a lot of novels that I have had the pleasure of experiencing, but this novel takes the cake. It was one of the most emotionally involving stories I have ever read. It conjured emotions from my own life that I had surpressed (I guess that's why I was crying so much!). If you want to read something that will completely draw you in, read I Know Who Holds Tomorrow. It was so good, that I have no more words....
