I'm Not Home
I'm Not Home is a dual point-of-view contemporary romance that explores the emotional journey of a war veteran learning to heal and love again. After four years of service, Ben Phillips returns home struggling with PTSD, depression, anxiety, and unsettling hallucinations. Trying to piece together a sense of normalcy, he meets Willow, a free-spirited bookstore owner and author whose bohemian lifestyle couldn't be more different from his conservative upbringing. Despite their differences, an undeniable connection forms between them. Willow is determined to help Ben face his mental health challenges head-on, but as their relationship deepens, so do the shadows of Ben's inner world. With chapters alternating between their perspectives, including Ben's often unreliable narration, the reader is drawn into a story that questions what's real, what's imagined, and whether love alone can heal the past. While I'm Not Home delivers a compelling romance, it also tackles the complexities of trauma, the stigma surrounding mental health, and the power of fighting for love.

Casey attended Montclair State University in New Jersey, and then became an English teacher for high school. After four years of working in the public school and having her two kids, she decided to become a stay at home mom. Two months after her daughter's birth, her and her family moved to Charleston, South Carolina where they now reside. They spend their time as a family on the beach, trying new foods downtown, and with their friends and family.
