Overview

Immortal Wounds by Nicole Grane

If finding out she'd been bitten by a werewolf wasn't enough to turn Phoebe's world upside down, learning that she had a past life as a vampire certainly did! Marcus, a vampire and the former lover of Phoebe's past life, still hungers for her. While Damen, a werewolf once responsible for Phoebe's death, obsesses for her, reviling Marcus's passion.

Phoebe comes to realize that the horrific dreams from her subconscious are truly glimpses from her past life. She must learn to accept the monster that now claims part of her soul and that her one true love would be the undoing of her mortality.

Set in modern day Northern England, Immortal Wounds captures the essence of a time where chivalry and honor reign supreme. It is a romance about timeless love, forbidden passion, and the overwhelming desire to have what cannot be yours. It's a story of one woman's quest to recapture a love from a lifetime ago and to find the courage within her to defend it.

About the Author

Nicole Grane lives in Utah with her husband and their three children. She grew up in Arcata, California, a fifteen minute drive away from Trinidad- Phoebe's stomping ground. When she is not writing or reading, Nicole enjoys collecting cool rocks, oil painting, finding unique pieces of jewelry, and playing on the beach with her family- which, she is sad to say, is not as often as she'd like.

Nicole has always loved mythology, folklore and researching unique places. Having been privileged to travel, she can't wait to incorporate some of her findings into her stories.

I didn't know this book would be so interesting. I literally couldn't put it down. It just completely grabbed my attention and held it to the end. I loved the book. Even the unexpected sad ending. I can't wait to get the second book.

I felt like I was reading a really bad B movie. The author blogged that she had intended to make the heroine a little weak and whiney but this went far far beyond "little bit". I had read her Pinehurst series first and loved it from the first sentence. I am not sure this was even written by the same person. It is just that bad, and I won't pick up the second in the series, I will just google to find out what happens rather than subject myself to more of that kind of pain. It got one star because I couldn't post without it. Do not doubt that this auhor CAN do better, Pinehurst is a delightful, sexy, fun and laugh out loud read. I just think the author must have had an accident and was on pain pills or depressed when she wrote this.

The book is about 800 pgs. Read about 300 and had to stop. The main female character was too whiny. Otherwise it would have been a pretty decent read.

This book kept me wondering of what's to come next. It reminded me of the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn but with a juicy twist. Although, Phoebe's character was really annoying, the story was that good it made her all the more bearable till the end. I absolutely enjoyed Immortal Wounds.

This book could have been half as long and twice as good. The writer was too indulgent with her main cnaracters and their love story which im sure was fun for her but tedious for me. It was too bad because there is potential in her writing. However i doubt i can finish this book

This book is another twilight series! It that good. But trust me. In this book the vampire dont glow nor does the wolves turn into ACTUAL wolves. If you like a sensitive reincarnated girl who loves a vampire and finds out she has whole line of past lovers and chaos chaos events with violence n sword play. This will be one hell of a book. And we cannot forget the war between 2 species and ambomitions, can we? I dare you to read this and see if you like my review. :*D
