IMPERATIVE

This script traces the relationship of the landed Charles Jennens and composer G. F. Handel. When Charles' brother Robert signals trouble with his Balliol, Oxford, College roommate about Christian faith, Charles begins to assemble a demonstration of the unity of the Bible, in libretto form. In fact, he is on his way there, his own alma mater, when he is intercepted by terrible news, and must make a lonely journey to the campus about his brother's death.
