INNOCENCE AND AVARICE
Indianapolis Detective, John Logan, responded to what appeared to be a simple missing person case. Before long, it was clear to him and to the FBI agents taking over the case that kidnapping, corporate espionage, and murder are all intertwined. Logan just can’t let go and refuses to let the FBI shut him out.
All of the evidence points to Jim Ashton, co-owner of a computer software company but it just appears too tidy a package of evidence to suit Logan. It looks like he is wrong this time, when the man he believes may be innocent escapes from the police.
The fugitive doesn’t know who to trust, but turns to Star reporter, Carrie Brown. Carrie decides he might be innocent and suggests that he turn himself in to Detective Logan. He feels compelled to remain on the run until he can figure out who set him up and kidnapped his wife and the wife of his trusted business partner.
Logan solves the case in his usual methodical manner in spite of being stonewalled by the FBI.
This is the first of the “Logan Files.” It introduces the reader to a cast of characters that will become like old friends as you read the subsequent “Logan Files.
It is a fast paced read with plenty of intrigue.
