I've read (and loved!) all of the Wild Irish books, so I was naturally very excited when I found out that Mari Carr was beginning a series about the children of the original characters! As Mari Carr is one of my favorite, go-to authors, I knew I would not be disappointed in this book. One-click! Caitlyn is a lawyer, and the granddaughter of Pat, owner of Pat's Irish Pub, in Baltimore, MD. The pub was started by Pat, and his wife, Sunday, when they first came to America from Ireland. It has since passed on to Pat and Sunday's children (all 7 of them!). Caitlyn and some of her cousins live above the pub, in the apartment that Pat and Sunday raised their brood in. All of this to say, there is history, memories, and emotions tied up in the pub for the Collins family. So when Lucas comes around to try to buy the pub, Caitlyn naturally sees him as enemy #1! Even so, there is an immediate, undeniable attraction between them, that convinces Caitlyn to give him a chance, even if temporarily. While Lucas is a cutthroat business man, who will do whatever it takes to get his way, Caitlyn is a giving philanthropist, who uses her Law degree to help those around her who need it most. They couldn't be more different, but the attraction won't let loose of Caitlyn, or Lucas. This story is packed full of emotions, both positive and negative. This family is supportive, loving, and just plain amazing. Lucas's family.... is not. It never fails to amaze me the impact that the Collins family has in these stories. Their relationship with each other opens eyes, and changes lives. I've enjoyed meeting the Collins kids, all grown up, and can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of them!

If you are a fan of Mari Carr’s Wild Irish series, (and I am!) you’ll be totally thrilled with this new offshoot series, Wilder Irish. It seems a bit of time has passed and now we are looking into the lives of the Collins family’s next generation. January Girl starts the series off with the daughter of Will and Kiera from Come Monday. Caitlyn is a lawyer in practice with her cousin Colm Collins in their own practice, Collins Law. She’s in her family’s bar one night when the very man who is trying to buy it from them asks her for a drink. Lucas Whiting and his father’s company pretty much own most of the prime real estate in Baltimore, but the Collins family won’t let their bar be next. Cait agrees to go out with Lucas much to the dislike of her family. What’s his angle? Cait finds out quickly that Lucas is a dom who can bring out her submissive side, but with his father interfering and her family disapproving, will their relationship last? I loved this book and I thought that it was great that Cait took after her mom. I wasn’t quite too sure how I felt about Logan at first knowing that he wanted to buy the bar, but the ending was spectacular! I’m very much looking forward to the rest of the series!

I loved the love this family had for each other and the loyalty it inspired. The story was well written and even though I hadn't read the Wild Irish Series the characters were well enough developed that I felt I knew them at the books end. Cait and Lucas's love story was very moving. she knew want she wanted and he just didn't know what it was he was missing in his life. I loved that they were each other's other half, his Dom to her Sub. Great book, fast paced, and easy to recommend to anyone that likes a hot hot love story.

This utterly fantastic story is book one in the series and it features Caitlyn Wallace, and Lucas Whiting. The chemistry between these two was HOT! They played some amazing D/s games that were not too heavy. They played for fun and not for lifestyle. Lucas had some difficult obstacles to overcome and I honestly couldn't see how he was going to do it. This was a great story line and as always, fabulous characters. I love this spinoff of The Wild Irish series. The Wilder Irish series focuses on Pop Pop's grandchildren. I can't wait for the next one.

The Wilder Irish starts us down the third generation of the Collins family. I hadn't read any of the Wild Irish books before reading this one, but now that I've finished it, I've gone back and read 5 of the 8 books so far. Caitlyn Wallace is the oldest grandchild of Pat and Sunday Collins. Sunday passed many years before the first Wild Irish book, but she still has a major impact on her family. Lucas Whiting is a well known businessman in Baltimore. The Collins family wants nothing to do with Lucas or his company because he's trying to buy their family restaurant with the upstairs apartments. I loved the dynamics of the Collins family. Lucas has no idea what he's in for going up against this family because his family dynamics are nowhere near theirs. Then he meets Caitlyn and he slowly starts rethinking his plans for the Collins family. I loved this book and watching Caitlyn and Lucas fall in love. I can't wait to see how the rest of the books in this series play out.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I have fallen in love with Mari Carr's characters in all of her books and this was no different. Now on to the book itself. What would you do if the person trying to shut down your family business asked you out? That's what Caitlyn has to figure out AND she is insanely attracted to Lucas. What happens is a stubborn Irish lassie goes up against a ruthless Lucas. Who will win and how will the Collins clan react? Great writing, unexpected twists and characters you can't help but fall in love with. This story is HOT and gets a little steamy so get a glass of wine and relax with the Collins eldest granddaughter. If you haven't read the Wild Irish series you might want to to get more background but you don't have to as this can be a standalone book BUT you will want to see what happens to the characters as time goes on.

January Girl by author Mari Carr was freakin' amazing and it felt like I was coming home again; coming home to the Collins family that I loved so much. The author captured the essence of the Collins family without missing a beat. I got a bit choked up whenever patriarch Patrick Collins aka Pop Pop to Caitlyn appeared in scenes. I loved Caitlyn and Lucas together so much and enjoyed their scorching hot relationship. They were complete opposites and had to overcome his company's buyout attempt of her family's business. Love and loyalty were tested and I loved every minute of it. I am thrilled that the next generation of the Collins family will get their own story and the author nailed it with the first book in this new series.
