It was a little after noon when Ed, Abby and Karie left for Lee's house. Jessie had two apple pies in the oven and the Swiss steak in the pressure cooker on delay timer. She had everything set and ready to go so that when she turned on the potatoes to cook, dinner would be ready within an hour.

"I'd like to go get a shower. Would you mind taking the pie's out of the oven when there the timer goes off? It'll be about another twenty minutes."
