Overview

An outcast because of her psychic abilities, Paige doesn't expect her people to rescue her when a zealous sect of Faerians sacrifices her to their gods. Thrown through a fairy ring to a new dimensional plane, drugged on ambrosia, she is compelled to claim the first man she meets. Only when the effects wear off and she's left with a husband expecting more than she's willing to give, does Paige discover the true extent of what the fairies have done.

Ordered by the king to marry, Sir Aidan of Fallenrock is dead set against taking a bartered bride. He believes his people should be patient and wait for the gods to bless them. When the beautiful Lady Paige comes through the sacred rings, kissing and touching him like she knows their joined fate, Aidan's sure he's being rewarded--until his new bride tries to back out of their marriage.

was a interesting read, Paige finds it hard to cope with all the changes in her world and Aidan believes he is being punished for not going to the breeding ceremony. This book has its own interesting events that unfold and twists and turns to keep you page turning and draw you into this world.

The Man Fairy is delusional 5 stars And so are you if you think that this book (or any other in this series / or any other book by Michelle) would not be worth reading!  I love that even though this is the third book in the series and it takes place at the same time as the other books, it is a completely fresh & unique story that has its own “mysteries”, misunderstandings, swoon worthy heroes, strong (or strong willed) gals, romance, hot sex, HEA and everything else you have come to love about Michelle’s writing.  You can’t help falling for poor sweet Sir Aidan, sympathizing and understanding what poor Paige has been through, in fact there were so many moments that I just wanted to give the poor gal a hug!  Either that or a smack upside the head!  LOL  I keep saying this but I am sure that THIS is my favorite book in the series!  I like that it really just focused on Aidan & Paige, that there was no Divinity Corp. deception, no true adjustment for Paige in the sense that Lilith & Jayne went through being from more advanced civilizations.  I found this story to be a LOT hotter, sexier and more sigh-worthy!  I mean come on!  Who would not love to have an Aidan of their own!?!?!?!  I found this story to be so addictive that I pretty much read it all in one go!  I couldn’t wait to find out how…or if they…or what was going to happen when…ok!  OK!!!  You truly do need to read this book to find out for yourself what happens!  Trust me, it is much more enjoyable that way!  I should know better by now, but Michelle’s books STILL never cease to amaze me, to entertain me as well as grab AND hold my attention from start to finish (and sometimes even longer!)  She truly has that very special gift that not all authors are “lucky” enough to have!  You know that one I mean.  That rare talent that has you pulled in right from the start and doesn’t let you go even when you have finished the book!  In fact the only way to be “released” is to start another one of Michelle’s books so you can lose yourself in yet one more (of many) fantastic stories.  Michelle showcases this talent with each and every single one of her books!  I have read quite a few and have been entranced by every single one.  She seems to have come by this gift quite naturally because I have never had one book that started off slow, or had parts that dragged out or even endings that I was disappointed with.  Well other than the ending coming too soon for my liking!  LOL  All in all, this is another great book in an equally great series!

I liked this one in this series, too. I like how feisty Paige is, but she doesn't verge into spoiled brat territory. Sir Aiden is passionate and, God bless him, patient and forgiving. I did pity her for having to live with her MIL, though. I did that once. It was awful.

Ms Pillow not only keeps her characters on a sea saw, she keeps us there as well. I opened Keeping Paige with a full face smile at the premise of the story. Cursed loner gets sacrificed to the Faeries--earns their wrath--gets sent to the unknown after being force fed an aphrodisiac. On landing in the forest--naked and under the influence--a brave knight come to her [rescue?]. Soon they become well acquainted a few times before the ambrosia wears off. While he thinks she has been sent to him by the gods, she knows it is a punishment and wants out. Their battle to see who is right is often funny and sometimes frightening, erotic, as well as tender. Their path is far from smooth. Come along for the ride to see if they can out maneuver the faeries, the gods and some archaic customs on both sides. You won't be sorry. A great third offering in this series. Number four is next on my list. I was provided a ARC for an honest review.

AudioBook Review Stars:  Overall  5  Narration  5  Story  5  Quickly becoming a favorite of mine, the Divinity Warriors series delivers another winning installment in book 3: Keeping Paige.  While we have previously met Paige and Aidan in the earlier books, this also works as a standalone story: what is important is that Paige’s story starts before the women are in the cell awaiting the breeding ceremony at Battlewar Castle.  Aidan is a highlight in this story: he has a wonderfully soft and gooey center as evidenced by allowing his best friend’s daughter to braid, knot and otherwise ‘pretty up’ his hair, finding true joy and comfort in the little girl’s adoration.  He is wishing to follow in his friend’s path: married to a woman who came through the faerie ring and now with one child and another on the way.  Not at all interested in the summons and King’s demand that he attend the breeding ceremony at Battlewar, he expects it to again leave him mateless.  Paige is a Forrester, a dimension that brings thoughts of Snow White’s cottage in the woods with the seven dwarves.  Paige is blessed, or cursed, with foresight: making her an outcast in her own land.  When she is captured by the Faerians to be sacrificed for their beliefs, and left, drugged in the faerie ring.  Here she believes that Aidan is a Fairy come to rescue her: the drugs make her insatiable and her first experience is one that she can’t wholly remember.  Together there is an interesting push and pull between them.  Although Paige is uncomfortable with all of the changes and doesn’t always understand them, she sees him as her only salvation.  Aidan is afraid that his claiming of Paige in the way he did angered his gods and has set him back on the path to being alone forever.   While it is apparent to everyone that the two are meant for one another, the path to true love is never without pitfalls.   Rebecca Cook manages again to imbue each character with their own particular flavor and patois as their words are delivered.  This adds a depth and impact to the emotional components, and her pacing variations manage to move the story forward smoothly and without distractions.  While there are dimensional jumps, the lands that are explored here are more medieval in feel, lacking in the technology more apparent in the first two books.   I really am enjoying this series of stories, if you want some fantasy with true alpha males, clever females and plenty of steamy moments to make you squirm: this is the series! I received an AudioBook copy from the author for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.
