While Martin Keller paints in his den, his creativity flows from a cryptic source. His newly annexed talent transcends into results far beyond his own abilities. He searches his soul for a rational explanation, but rationality seems out of reach. He loses consciousness while he paints and this phenomenon only darkens the waters of logic. Soon he realizes that his paintings, thoughts, and dreams take him away from his normal world and into an altered state which if full of deception and chaos.
He must confront the forces that control his life in order to get back on track. Fortunately, all the spirits that surround him are not malicious and the battle of good versus evil ensues.

Interesting trivia: There is a host of notable author's in Rod's ancestry which include Louisa May Alcott, Oliver Wendell Holmes, Geoffrey Chaucer, O Henry, Stephen Crane, Laura Ingalls Wilder, William Faulkner and Truman Capote.
Also, Rod's 9th Great Grandfather, John Alden, was a leader on the Mayflower along with Captain Miles Standish, 30 crew members and 102 passengers. Alden was said to have been one of the first to set foot on Plymouth Rock and was influential in the creation of Thanksgiving along with the Wampanoag Indians.
