Someone's importing illegal metals into Las Vegas. Iron, to be specific: the only substance that can instantly kill one of the deadly sidhe. But there are no sidhe in Las Vegas. Not anymore. Dana McIntyre killed the last of them two weeks earlier.

Importing the iron seems to be a matter of life and death, though. Mostly death. People are being slaughtered over these imports, and Dana can't figure out why. It's a puzzle that must be solved quickly and quietly. If the Office of Preternatural Affairs realizes how destabilized Las Vegas has become, they'll shut down vampire hunters like Dana.

She has no choice but to partner with Nissa Royal, the right hand of the city's master vampire, to hunt down the iron's buyer. Nissa's interested in a lot more than a functional partnership from Dana, though. She wants her soul. And she's not going to settle for anything less.

So far I love the characters in these books but I'm not really liking the story itself. Dana's hilarious even if she is self-destructive and I love Anthony, I will always love Anthony. And Nissa is also really entertaining but the story itself is just kind of boring.

Kill game is the most recent novel written by my favorites author SM Reine. Reine does it again, the world that she has created in that beautiful mind of hers is constantly surprising and alluring and every absolutes aspect. Kill Game continues following Dana McIntyre as she fights against her vampiric instincts. Dana knows that she can only stave off becoming a vampire by refusing to drink human blood. She refuses to finish her transformation into becoming a vampire, but she does benefit from the enhanced abilities and goes after some high-ranking vampires who are causing trouble within Vegas. She now has to figure out the mystery of why the Paradisos vampires have been buying precious metals. With the help of the hunting club and the police along with Brother Lincoln and Penny her soon to be ex wife she runs a muck as per usual with no real plan other then to win. This novel makes you wonder if her weak spot for Nissa Will be her ultimate undoing. Nessa has now risen in power and rumored to be a high ranking vampire within the Paradisos. But all of her friends and family are still looking for a cure to her vampirism don't realize that this mission has now turned into a suicide mission. As long as she stays a blood Virgin long enough there is still a chance to be cured. Dana Who is very much loyal to the gods has started questioning their motives. She has such an internal dilemma as she knows all vampires are evil and she is in fact a vampire. she continues her investigation to figure out why in the world the vampires are stocking up on iron and how the Fae fall into this scheme. Her ultimate goal beyond all this is so also reveal the Fremont slasher for who he is so she may die peacefully without any worry on Penny's well-being. Her first step in all of this is to figure out and find some unobtanium The most expensive and rare element that will be the answer to all of her problems. As she fights against her friends Who are trying to save her life and her enemies Who are trying to take it earlier then she can take it herself she constantly gets caught in situations that she must get her self out of, and being a McIntyre she obviously try to do all of these things solo. Makes you wonder if she will ever truly change her ways and utilize the love and friendship she has built over the years to help her and her battles. She must also figure out whether Nissa is an enemy or an ally. She must always remember to never ever trust a vampire. And to stop comparing Penny and Nessa. This book is amazing I was given this book in return for an honest review and I honestly love Reine and her amazing ability to turn these characters in her mind into the most amazing world ever!this series and prior series are among those best books I have ever read!

Amazing from start to finish, Dana is so tunnel visioned in her quest for revenge and finding a cure she is blind to what is happening around her. All her friends are trying to keep her on track but Dana will be Dana and it is her way or the highway. Twists and turns at every encounter Dana has. SM Reine had me hooked from beginning to end could not put the book down.
