Least favorite. I love all of the other books in the series and i reread them too. But sorry to say this book has taken me the longest to read because i found myself bored. It has alot of repeating i finally had to stop little over half way and not finish. Will i stop reading Toni Aleo? No because i think she will do better next one.

I love Toni, but this book is my least favorite of the series. Everything was repetitive and I did not feel a connection with Lacey the way i did with the othet girls in the series. I did not have the urge to re-read like I have done with every single book in the past.

After reading Tangled in the Laces (the prequel), I couldn’t wait to read Laces and Lace.  I was not disappointed.  Toni Aleo’s books continue to be phenomenal. Laces and Lace took place nine years after Tangled in Laces.  Lacey Martin and Karson King are accidentally reunited when they both get inside the same cab in Chicago.  Their reunion could have gone in so many directions; I really love the path it took.  Lacey and Karson were always meant to be together, but their relationship was sabotaged by Lacey’s family.   The drama is well done. Lacey is an incredible heroine.  She is a breast cancer survivor who pursues a career that makes others with breast cancer have hope.  She is self-conscious, which is completely understandable and believable considering everything she has undergone.  Plus, I appreciate that she’s a fellow Chicago Blackhawks fan.  That being said, if Karson was my man, I would convert to an Assassin’s fan. Okay being honest, I would have two favorite teams. I really adore Karson (and his family).  Karson has always loved Lacey.   I revere that he doesn’t care that her breasts were removed and treated her like she is beautiful.  He’s a good man and great foundation for Lacey.  I appreciate that he never really lets her go and continue to support her even when they are no longer dating. Lacey’s dad is a piece of work.  It is understandable that after losing his wife to cancer whom he would be over protective of Lacey.  Needless to say, he is a bit extreme.  It makes him an interesting antagonist. I enjoyed Karson’s roommate JT.  Karson’s relationship with his sister, Kacey, cracked me up.  Then when you put JT and Kacey together, it is very amusing. Laces and Lace is an amazing story.  The plot is well done and captivating.  This series continues to strengthen and remain heartwarming.  If you haven’t read Tangled in Laces, it is included with this book.  While this book could work as a standalone, I recommend reading the other books in the series, not only because it is one of my favorite series but also because it makes you appreciate the supporting characters more. Love does conquer all... Karson and Lacey met nine years ago, they fell in love hard and thought nothing or no one would be able to keep them apart. But Karson let Lacey's dad interfere and years later he's living with the regret and what if's. Karson King a successful hockey player, a good son, a good brother, and a good friend, he has the world in the palm of his had...but not the woman he's been loving for nine long years. Lacey is a breast cancer survivor, strong as nails, a woman with her own business and a life she loves. She has everything she's ever wanted, except love...and Karson. A chance encounter, and passion that the years haven't been able to placate, bring these two soulmates together once again. Will they be able to make this relationship work this time around? Will they be able to fight those going against them and live the life destiny owns them? After LOVING Tangled in the Laces, bawling my eyes out and waiting for Laces and Lace, I can honestly say that Toni didn't disappoint. She gave me the love and sexy times that I so much love about her books, but also gave me the drama that every story needs, mixed with a bit of humor courtesy of the one and only, JT, Karson's roommate. Mrs. Aleo's books are character and story driven. She will take you on a journey with her characters that will have you reliving their stories days after you're done reading and this book is not the exception. Even though Lacey showed her insecurities at one point or another, I loved her character. Her courage and her desire to live her life the best she could after surviving breast cancer at such a young age was awe inspiring. It takes a very strong soul to go through all that and come through strong and with the spirit of a fighter. I loved Karson, it's true that he was going through life as a somewhat womanizer but sometimes we have to do certain things to survive and try to forget that not always we agree with 100%. As much as I love some of the characters I HATED others, Nate, Lacey's dad for example. How can you say you love your daughter so much but yet destroy her dreams and shatter her heart? And Rachel??? Seriously girl? I wanted to smack you so hard, you could thank your lucky stars that I wasn't Lacey. Definitely one book that comes to fit perfectly in the Assassins series. Please note that the ebook includes both Tangled in the Laces and Laces and Lace and Toni is donating $1 from the sale of each book to the Nashville Predators Foundation for Pediatric Cancer research. A great book supporting and even greater cause!

Ok, so let me start off by saying I have ready and enjoyed every book in this series. That said, this was by FAR my least favorite. Lacey was flat out the most spineless heroine ever.  Her best friend Rachel is nothing short of a complete b*tch. No one needs friends like that.  Her father needed to grow up or get out of her life.  She was completely clueless to what he was doing.  I really do not get how she did not read him the riot act after what he pulled the FIRST time around.  It made absolutely no sense to me why we had to read FOUR HUNDRED pages of her realizing what we learned in the first 50.  Just went on and on and on.  No adult woman show be that wishy washy for that long.  She needed to get her act together.  I really hope that this book was an anomaly and Toni gets back to what she did before in her previous books.

I love the assassin's series but I just couldn't get behind Karson and Lacey. I honestly think they brought out the worst in each other and it made it hard to root for them. Definitely a disappointment.

Good but a little hard to see how unsecure Lacey is. It shows you how horrible cancer really is. Makes me thankful for my family and not hers.

I can't believe Lacey' s father would do something so horrible to her and Karson. Lacey had already been through so much in her young life, but to take Karson away as well, what parent doesn't want their child to find some peace and happiness?  I really like how we get to know what the the other Assassins and their families  are up to in the new books. I would like to tell you how this story ends but you need to read it for yourself. Job well done.

The love that they shared in college was cut short by interfering factors... Now years later the sparks fly when they unexpectedly meet again and no one or nothing will come between them if Karson has his way, and he will do everything in his power to ensure that. Lacey was hurt years ago when Karson disappeared from her life and running into him again fills her with pure joy, but that fact that everyone around her hates him will not make this transition any easier. My love of sports based romance was fed with Laces and Lace by Toni Aleo. This action packed novel will make you squirm in your seat one minute and want to smack someone in the back of the head next. I really enjoyed the story and can't wait to read many more stories by Ms. Aleo.

The best for me will always belong to Tate and Audrey..I sympathized with Lacey up to the point where she just got whiny and pathetic. There were a couple of times I wanted Karson to leave her. He was a bit too perfect at times. The whole addition of Jordie and Kacey was a little weird. I can see setting them up for their own story but it was a little too much for me especially with her parents in the same house. I liked the addition of the other players and their families. Nice to get a glimpse into their lives now. Overall a decent read and if you've read thecseries to this point its a must read!

Lacey and Karson were à çouple I wanted to love... But Karson was too perfect ànd Lacey was without à spine.. I was sympathetic for her cancer and even some of her fears... But she had no courage and was totally çòñtrolled by her father and her best friend Rachel. .. While Ì have read and loved all of the Assassin books this one was not nearly as good as the others. None of the characters nor the story  seemed Real to me...

I SO love Toni Aleo & her Assassins books. I am truly addicted! And Laces & Lace does not disappoint! I love Lacey & Karson's story. It was very hard for me to wait after reading the prequel months ago! Both characters are wonderfully written & I completely fell in love with them both. They were so meant to be together and traveled a long road to get there!! I am also tickled to see that a $1 for every book sold is going to the Nashville Predators Foundation for Pediatric Cancer. How awesome is that??!

I loved this book! I have read everything by Toni Also since her first book with Shea & Elli. This book is on my favorites list along with Taking Shots and Whiskey Prince. Lacey's insecurities are very real and valid, but Karson's love is stronger. Very well written. I will continue to read everything Mrs. Aleo writes.

I've read all of her books and this is one of my favorites! Hard to put down! Glad novella was included to help me remember it. So kind of Toni Aleo to donate to the charity, Hockey fights cancer, on behalf of the Nashville Predators.

Read the book in a couple of days, I was able to skip over many parts because it was a bit boring in some parts. But, I always enjoyed the sections of Karson and Lacey together. Looking forward to the next book and reading Toni's other series.

Sometimes those who are supposed to love us and protect us are the ones who hurt us the most. Lacey Martin knows how cruel life can be. After battling for her life nothing feels the same and a part of her feels like it is completely lost. That is until she meets Karson King. Having spent her entire life sheltered and controlled by her father Lacy must know decide if everything that has happened was really done out of love and protection or her father's own selfish needs. Laces and Lace brings back all of the Assisin family that we have grown to love as well as brings us the newest couple. In true Aleo style you can't help but be drawn into the characters and their lives.

Loved this book!!!!!! I would give more stars if i could. Everytime I read a new release from Toni Aleo I think its the best until I read the next one. This is by far my favorite in the series. I also love that a portion of the sale is going to pediatric cancer .
