It is January of 1963 in a north of England town. A new era of society has begun. Fashion is evolving and becoming fun for all. James Bond has made his debut on the cinema screens. A new dynamic pop group called 'The Beatles' are creating a sensation in the world of music. They have embarked on their U.K. winter tour and are due to perform at the town's dance hall. Stuart is a naive teenager employed as an electrical apprentice. For extra money he starts a job as a trainee projectionist at the local cinema. Before long he encounters eccentric colleagues with dark secrets to share. Amongst them are a crooked cinema manager and a paedophile projectionist. A clairvoyant cleaner predicts his future with uncanny accuracy. When Stuart meets a teenage usherette named Suzie, his coming of age begins. Together the naive teenagers fulfil a final prophecy when they come face to face with The Beatles.
