I love this beautiful story. Ava Miles does it again. I can relay people meeting and falling in love through letters because my parents did. My dad was in a concentration camp in Cuba and my cousin’s mom asked her to write to his friend, my dad. Friendship turned to love. Next year we will celebrate their 50th anniversary. Noah is a soldier from World War II and Anna is Martin’s only sister, Noah’s best friend that died. One letter made it to another and then another. Soon Noah’s and Anna’s friendship turned to love, just the same as my parents did. Between the sorrows and tragedy of losing a love one and the atrocities and reality of war, both, Noah and Anna find peace and hope on their letters. This book is made up of several letters. They made me cry, laugh and hope for a happy ending. Noah and Anna deserve one. These letters are the opening for Ava Miles’ next book, Along Waters of Sunshine and Shadow. I recommend reading this before the actual book comes out. I’m now hooked on Noah’s and Anna’s life. I now need to know what and how the next chapter of their lives turn out. Would Noah make it back to Anna? Would their romance ends on a beautiful marriage like my parents? "I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. What a unique way to start a romance and I loved it.  In the worst possible conditions you see Noah and Anna getting to know one another thru tragedy. Feeling their worries and fears for one another was so touching and had you praying Noah would make it home. And you see their love starting to bud. Seeing their shared thoughts and feeling thru these letters was so sweet and I can't wait to see what happens when Noah shows up!!

I think I have fell in love with Noah; he is so sweet and honest something that doesn't show very often. It was so sweet of him to start writing to Anna after the death of her brother, Martin. I was so glad that she started writing Noah too. You could just see and feel them getting closer and closer as the letters went back and forth. I laughed and cried as the letters continued to fly across the ocean. I can't wait to see what happens when they finally meet for the first time. Thank you Ava for another wonderful book. This story is an excellent beginning of a developing friendship and romance between two people, Anna & Noah. While you read each chapter, you feel as if you are the person getting the letter in the mail and are eagerly waiting for the next one. Ava Miles takes you into a world that conveys hope, pain, feeling afraid and just wanting the war to end. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was intrigued by this collection because it's told through letters. It's so romantic and the build up to the meeting fantastic. I'm eagerly awaiting the next book. This is easily read and has great flow. You can feel the pain, the hope, and the connection that Anna and Noah create. I would definitely recommend reading this because you won't be disappointed.

LETTERS ACROSS AN OPEN SEA This beautiful book of shared letters between Noah and Anna during the horrors of World War II is a stunning portrayal of the gift of connection between two people. Each letter poignantly shows not only the changes in their growing relationship, but the gift each offers the other through turbulent and frightening times. I read this cover to cover, then re-read it again immediately. I loved every line. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. Letters Across An Open Sea by Ava Miles is a remarkable story about two people falling in love while writing letters to one another after experiencing a tragedy that impacts them both. In spite of a vast ocean, a world war and the fact that they've never met in person, Noah and Anna give each other hope and love with their heartfelt letters. This story is a definite must read that you don't want to miss! I was given an ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.

This is the story of Noah and Anna as they send letters to each other throughout the war, this gives you an insite into both sides of the terrible times they both experience with heartbreak and joys. Nice easy read. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.

This is a different type of storytelling, but still so very touching. In this book of letters, we learn about Noah, a soldier and Anna. Noah is an orphan and became like a brother to Martin. Noah and Martin are fighting overseas in World War 2, Martin unfortunately was killed. Noah wrote to Martin’s sister Anna to say how sorry he is and they end up writing back and forth to each other. Martin and Anna use these letters to express their feelings on all that is going on, the hardships and struggles of life during the war. These letters were so very touching in many ways. First this is how things use to be, and it is a very different time and sometimes we need that reminder. Second there is something so special about becoming friends and falling in love like this, not ever meeting the person, seeing them only in a photo. I struggled a little at first with the letters but I feel for this whole thing. I never grew up in this era and it is touching and a reminder that things were not easy then and a lot was given up. Ava Miles does an excellent job with these letters and this story of Noah and Anna. I recommend this to anyone wanting to fall in love and go back a little to a different time of letter writing. I love that all the letters are now in a book format instead of waiting for each letter individually, I think it flows a little better having them all at once instead of having to wait for them like Noah and Anna did. A different way to tell a powerful story. Noah and Anna are finding something in each other as they comfort each other over a devastating loss. Their relationship is so much more knowing that they have never met, it is about the people they are. I can't wait to see how the story unfolds in the upcoming book. Another authentic, heartfelt story from an amazing author. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I so enjoyed the entire concept of this book. It is comprised of letters going back and forth between two people. I won't say more because I don't want to give any spoilers. Set at the time of WWII, it is a heartwarming and touching story. "I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. Reading these letters between two people at the end of WWII made me feel all of the emotions that they wrote about throughout their correspondence. I enjoyed the sincerity they both expressed and can't wait to continue reading their story. I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. Great stories . So sad they had to go through that, especially all of the young ones .

This is Anna's first letter in response to Noah's introduction. It is slightly longer than Book 1,and demonstrates her humor, wisdom, love, and compassion. With each letter I read, I become more invested in the outcome of this relationship. The way these letters are released makes me feel the anticipation Noah and Anna have for the next letter. Hurry, Ava, and write back! I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I was not otherwise compensated.

Fantastic! USO's and life in the States during war. The images of the life that has passed. Women working in factories and supporting the cause. Women who have lost their men to the tragedy of war. People becoming friends.

Love the continuing story. Anna writes back to Noah. After her brother's death, she decides she will continue to write to his best friend. I like how they are getting to know each other.
