About the Author

William F. “Buffalo Bill” Cody (1846-1917) personified the American Old West. He fought in the Civil War and in 1872 was awarded the Medal of Honor. He originated the Buffalo Bill Combination troupe plays, which were popular and turned into the “Buffalo Bill’s Wild West” show in 1882.
