Overview

Sorin of Firewall lives in a land forever at war. In fact, the Starian men are so busy fighting, their marriage ceremony has been reduced to a "will of the gods" event where they simply pick a woman out of a lineup and claim her as a wife. With women becoming scarce, it's necessary to trade the offworld Divinity Corporation for brides. Duty-bound to attend the ceremony, he has no intention of picking a bride, let alone one from another dimension. That is, until he sees Lilith, the bewitching woman sent by the gods to reward--or punish?--him.

I received a copy of this book from the author to read and leave an honest review. Lilith works for the Divinity Corporation, a company that controls portals to alternate dimensions. I would love her job...she travels to these other dimensions to learn about the culture there. Lilith is betrayed by a co-worker and wakes up a prisoner in a warrior world looking for women to become brides. Sorin is one of these warriors. What a hot, sexy read. Michelle M Pillow writes a darn good story that keeps you on the edge of your seat and wanting much, much more. I found this story interesting from beginning to end and can't wait to read more of this series. This was a well-written story with wonderful characters and cultures.

Ms Pillow takes us to an ancient civilization in a new dimension. Lilith is used to traveling to alternate dimensions to study and catalog information. This time, she wakes up, kidnapped in a cell with other women ready to be put on parade for the warriors to choose as a sex slave, according to the woman in charge of their care. Sorin, lead warrior, has no intention of choosing a woman during the bridal parade—until he sees Lilith. He has kept his mind on the continuing war until the gods put her in his path, despite his past of betrayal and humiliation. She wants to go home, he refuses but doesn't force her physically. As much as she wants to resist and is even afraid of him, chemistry overcomes their reluctance and the sexual part of their relationship is hot and satisfying. The more she learns the more she understands, but can't quite overcome being displaced against her will. Especially since love doesn't seem to factor in for Sorin. Can the threat of physical danger and death bring these two together? Be prepared for scorching scenes and strong characters who fight to dominate to determine if two so diverse people and places succeed together? The author has provided this ARC in return for an honest review.

I received this book as an ARC and am excited to give you my review. I wish I would have bought this book a long time ago since I liked it so much. This is the first book in the Divinity Warriors series which is about Lilith and Sorin. Lilith, a data analyst for Divinity Corp, has been betrayed. She wakes up in a cell in a primitive, uncharted dimension when she went to sleep in her own bed the night before. She must find a way to get back to her own dimension to figure out why the corporation she has worked so hard for has betrayed her. Unfortunately (or is it fortunately), she is to become a bride to one of the Starian warriors. Sorin has sworn he will never take another bride. His first bride was a lying, cheating thief and he doesn't want to go through the pain of having another one anytime soon. He promises his brother, Ronin, that he will not take one this go round and exacts a promise to do the same in return. However, that all changes the first time he sees Lilith. He is shocked when he hears his own voice say "Mine" instead of hearing it from one of the others. Sorin really has his work cut out for him since Lilith doesn't want to stay with him. Lilith is shocked when she finds out she is married to Sorin. She can't figure out when that happened since she didn't attend a ceremony. Why is this happening to her. She must find the portal to return to her own dimension if she is ever going to clear her name. Sorin is so frustrated with his relationship with Lilith that he hopes he is called to fight against their enemy, the Caniba. He is frustrated since he knows Lilith wants him just as much as he wants her but she keeps resisting. Will he ever get the loving marriage he desperately wants? I loved this book. It was fun to see how Lilith and Sorin work out their differences to finally have a loving relationship. Sorin is very brave while fighting the Caniba since all he wants is to return to Lilith. She will do anything to help him heal when he is severely injured in battle. I had trouble putting this book down. It was so much fun to read that it's one that I will definitely be re-reading again.

Review featured at www.books-n-kisses.com I will be honest and say this was a bit out of my comfort zone of stories. I am not big on other worlds, dimensions, etc. But that being said it was a good read. The book really focused on Lilith which was ok but got to be a little much for me. She kind of drove me nuts. Sorin needs to get a sense of humor if you ask me. He has no warmth. I love the current works of Michelle Pillow but this one just didn’t do it for me. Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

I was gifted this book by the Author for an honest review. What would you feel like I you were thrust back in time from the future, where the men are hunky warriors and women are there only to fulfill womanly duties? Lilith is from a very advanced future and wakes up in a dungeon in the past and has no idea where she is or why. She is thrust into a world of barbarians, or so she thinks. Then she is claimed by Lord Sorin a man the likes of which she has never seen... He is huge, but with a handsome ruggedness that makes her shudder. Lord Sorin has sworn not to take a wife ever, but when he sees Lilith the words just spill out "Mine" She has captivated him and he must have her. Will Lilith escape her captor, or will Lord Sorin captivate her? This story is so full of a passionate roughness that is not uncomfortable at all, on the contrary it is very agreeable....It's a combination of Historical and Futuristic Romance. I loved it! I can't wait to read the next Divinity Warriors book

A great start to this series, the female characters were interesting and look forward to seeing more of them. I felt for the females with how this world was run but enjoyed seeing changes in both characters as things developed.

Lilith isn’t the only one Enraptured!!  WOW!!!  I loved this story!!!  Michelle has once again worked her Author Magic and created one terrific story & series!  Having characters that you can relate to, that you want to get to know, that you want to be friends with and of course with men that you would love to get to know better!!  *wags eyebrows*  This is such a great and unique story.  A perfect mix of “future” & past, war & peace, sex & love, old & new ways, beliefs in their Gods and gut instincts all crafted together into one sweet and oh so hot romantic tale (or is that a piece of tail?  Hmmm, how about both!)  The creativity with the tech & the portals, the many, many different planes, all add up to one terrific story!  OH!  And who can forget the men?!  Well built (ahem, really well built) barbarians who take one look at a woman on a specific night at a ceremony to find their bride all because the “Gods will it”?  I wouldn’t mind being claimed and conquered like that!  Wait! *wipes drool from chin* What are we talking about again?   Oh yeah!  Back to the review!  Don’t misunderstand me, there is way more to this story than the physical part, but it never hurts having it be part of the story!  I loved the logic of why they don’t have electricity, the fact that they are “barbarians” but at the same time they know about some “futuristic” ways but yet are so archaic in others!  I say “futuristic” because it really isn’t different futures, but it is more multiple planes living at the same time in the same space, but they have all evolved differently, therefore some are more futuristic while some are more archaic.  The ending was even better than I could hope for!  I was laughing, sighing and hoping right along with Lilith and even cried hysterically!  TWICE!!  Which just proves how awesome Michelle’s stories are when you can connect with the characters and story like that!  I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Michelle as caught my attention once again and I can't wait to read the rest of this series. Similar in concept it seems so far to the Dragon Lords series but definitely a new world to explore and enjoy. Her writing is different then any other author I haven't encountered and I read a lot, a must read but be prepared not to want to put it down.

Unlike the Galaxy Brides of Michelle Pillow's :Dragon Lord Series, the Divinity Corporation's brides sent through their portals are not volunteers. In this new scify series, there are portals that transport people to different "planes" where the realms may vary from futuristic medical planets, to ones resembling medieval earth with a twist. Lilith is an employee of Divity Corp. Often traveling to different planes for her job. Shocked when she awakens one morning in a somewhat primitive world called Staria, Lilith finds herself imprisoned with other females who have also unwillingly been sent there through a Divinity portal. Apparently her company has been sending brides (more like abducted females), for the Staria Warriors, as the women there have become scarce. The world building is quite creative, captivating and draws you right into the story. Other than the Divinity portal the inhabitants of this plane have chosen to live with limited technology, no vehicles, no modern medicine, lots of primitive warriors who need a wife to come home to in between there unending war with a race of horrible creatures. Lilith is a highly educated modern woman who is by no means weak or docile. There is no way she is just going to accept the circumstances she is forced into. She is determined to figure out a way to to rescue herself and the other kidnapped women.Lilith is not a whiny helpless female, but an enjoyable character and interesting heroine. I admired her intelligence and strength of character, she is no weak woman and is going to be quite a challenge for whichever Warrior chooses her for a wife. Enter Sorin whose high rank affords him the privilege of being the first to choose a wife. Despite the fact that Sorin does not wish to remarry after being betrayed by his deceased first wife, he cannot help but be drawn to Lilith. The hunky, possessive, hot, alpha hero is not prepared for the spirited women he has claimed. I really liked Sorin, he has had a difficult past and is really a good man underneath the tough exterior. Despite the circumstances, Lilith and Sorin make a great couple. The chemistry between them builds gradually evolving into not just a relationship but also a partnership, and of course lots of hot erotic love scenes. The story flows seamlessly weaving together romance, cultural and time clashes, adventure, thrills, and humor. I love how the Heroine and Hero grow both individually and together. This is another exciting, hot ,romantic scify book and series by Michelle Pillow.

Lilith Enraptured is book one of the Divinity Warriors Series.  It introduces us to many aspects of the series right at the onset.  There are many planes of the universe and people can dimension jump between them (if they have the resources).  The way of life differs on the various planes.  We are also introduced to several characters who will continue through the rest of the series.  Lilith wakes and  finds herself in a prison in Staria and stuck in a cell with several other women about to be put out for a "marriage ceremony." She's confused at first why she's there, but then she figures out she's been set up and put in Staria on purpose.   At first Lilith is scared and confused, but she's not willing to take things sitting down.  She makes plans to fight her way out of the situation along with the other women in her position.   Sorin attends the ceremony because he Has to, not because he wants too.  He has had a bride before and finds no use in replacing her now that she's gone.  He's only going to fulfill his duty, that is until he glimpses Lilith, then it all changes.  But if he expected a docile little lamb, he was much mistaken.  Lilith is an awesome character.  She has strength in heart and mind in addition to having some physical strength and defensive knowledge.  Her brains and ability to process the scenes around her make her more cunning and dangerous than someone with more physical stamina.  She does not resign herself to her new fate, rather she adapts and grows into her new role.  Sorin doesn't believe himself worthy of anything good in the world. He knows his duty as a noble with power, but he doesn't feel like he deserves to have a good woman by his side.  He's very self-deprecating, which just made me want to give him a big hug. He's a tough but lovable guy.  He stands firm in decisions and his duty, be he's not cold or overly harsh.   I enjoyed watching as Lilith finds her place in this new world and how Sorin adjusts as well.  It is a delicate balance for each of them to try to remain theirselves while also adjusting and changing so as not to offend their partner.  Just another way of proving that Love isn't always simple or easy.  The agreement between the Starians and the Divinity and the arranged marriages added a unique element to the series.   It deifnitely keeps things interesting.  Most sci-fi type books kind of lose me in all the world-building and different customs and what not, but Lilith Enraptured is easy to grasp the important points and as the story goes on, its easy to follow along with the important details.
