LOVE DRUNK COWBOY by Carolyn Brown is an exciting Western Romance set in present day Texas. It is the first in a new cowboy trilogy "Spikes and Spurs" series. It is fast paced and another page turner for this author. When Austin Lanier inherits her grandmother's watermelon farm, she wants to sell the place, and go back to corporate America. But when drop dead sexy, gorgeous neighbor Rye O'Donnell shows up Austin will soon change her mind about trading her stiletto heels for cowboy boots and a tractor. This story has love, romance, wit, down home appear, cowboy meets city girl and you can find love in unexpected places and at the most unexpected times. Together,Rye and Austin will learn the meaning of love, sacrifice and home.Austin's watermelon wine and Rye rodeo riding makes for an interesting and exciting new series. With sexy, hot, sizzling cowboy and sexy, hot beautiful city girl who can go wrong. This is a fact paced story and will keep you turning the pages from the beginning to the end.In true Carolyn Brown style "Love Drunk Cowboy" is a keeper and a great beginning for "Spikes and Spurs".A Must read for any and all western romance readers, who love a good cowboy and city girl gone cowgirl story. This book was received for the purpose of review from the publisher and details can be found at Sourcebooks Casablance, an imprint of Sourcebook,Inc. and My Book Addiction Reviews.

Back to my guilty little pleasure of reading lovey, dovey romance books...this one is one of the best i've read! I fell in love with Rye (& all the other quirky people in town) right along with Austin...Great story. Well developed characters. If you enjoy this kind of books, this is a must-read for you!

Bad. I had to force myself to finish it. Story/characters not engaging, I really didn't care what happened to these people.

I could not even finish this book because it was just a slow moving plot. What i was able to get through was good, but i would like to see the characters develop more quickly.

I got this book after reading the reviews. It is like a 50's movie-seriously??!! I can't even finish this because the only story is the 2 of them gazing at each other page after page. . Pleaseeee... this would be great for a 12 or 13 year old girl but for adults?! The plot never advances to anything and not seeing much humor that was mentioned in other reviews. I like a good romance but this story line is juvenile.

What a fun story. I loved that it wasn't just a love story, but that it showed how much work farming can be. I really enjoyed it and plan on reading the rest of the series.
