A family tells a poetic story about their love for their new born baby and the thing that make this baby so special.

I purchased this book as a gift for a friend who was a first time Grandma. It is a sweet little book that will be perfect for her to read to her grandson. Beautiful pictures!

This is the perfect gift for new parents, as they are experiencing these feelings about their newborn. It would also be so appropriate for a young child experiencing his or her sibling's arrival.

This is a beautifully illustrated book -can be used from infancy because of the poetry, and used later in the child's life because the pictures are so realistic. I't a lovely, timeless book!

This wonderful book made me cry after the third page to the very end. I'm expecting my first baby and this book will be read to her over and over again after she joins me and my husband in the outside world. (I'm also reading it to her on the inside as well!!) This is my new favorite and will become a lovely gift to my friends who are expecting or recently delivered. Buy a few copies when you do pick it up!!

This is a very nice story to read to your child...and save for them later. I recently checked it out of the library for my son. The first picture of the baby (inside cover)looks just like my second son. The little kid looks like my first. The book can be for either a girl or a boy. The part that really moved me to tears was the part that describes how the author dreamed of, wanted, and planned for a baby. I could vividly remember how we planned our first son and by the third in-vitro procedure we finally had our child. I also remember the second one coming after we figured we were lucky enough to have the one. Some people win the lottery and get a lot of money. Our lottery was our one-in-a-million chance babies. My plan is to read this story until they are too old or grow tire of it. I will tuck it away (one copy for each child) with a description in the book similar to this and return it again when they either marry or have a child of their own.
