Dominique Castle has been on her own since she was 18 but she's made a life for herself working at Red Stone Security and she loves her friends. So when she runs into Viktor Ivanov her world is shaken. Dominique blames Viktor's father for the gambling debt that destroyed her parents and eventually lead to their divorce and her mother's suicide. She wants nothing to do with Viktor who she assumes is just like his mobster father. Viktor's past is checkered but he believes there are some lines that shouldn't be crossed, which is why he's always hated his father. When he first sees Dominique he's immediately attracted but once he realizes who she is, he feels remorse for what his father put her family through. Both of these characters are used to keeping a hard shell around their emotions, so their romance was a bit of work. Dominique doesn't trust Viktor, rightly so, and believes he's a monster like his father. But with time she realizes that he's actually protective, honorable, and caring and though this happens relatively easily, Dominique is still smart about how she handles things. She's clearly a headstrong and confident woman but with Viktor she feels like she can relax and be taken care of. I did want to know more about Viktor's past because several times Katie Reus alludes to a more criminal lifestyle but we don't really get any details. It's clear that Viktor has turned thing around and he keeps things legal but past enemies coming after him is a big part of the storyline. There is also a side romance with Viktor's brother and business partner who is crushing hard on their efficient assistant. Overall, this was a quick read but it just doesn't stand out for me. It's probably the book in the series I was the least invested in. 3 out of 5 stars Reader Safety: References to sexual slavery and suicide of side character

Love Thy Enemy (Red Stone Security #13) Good girl meets bad guy and of course, nothing is as it seems. Both Viktor and Dominique are surprised by what happens between them. There is also an unseen danger that threatens anyone close to Viktor and he tries but fails to protect Dominique from it. He is the knight in shining armor to save her, though. With the help of Harrison Caldwell, she is saved. There's also a nice subplot about Viktor's half-brother, Anton, who has been making lovey-dovey eyes at his assistant Lucy since she started working for him. Lucy is getting frustrated that her boss won't make a move (which she would welcome). She finally takes matters into her own hands. Turns out that Anton doesn't like it when she isn't around. Lots of alpha male behavior here, but Reus makes it easy to take.

Agree with the review of J. This book and the last one should have been combined instead of paying for two novellas. Both books around 150 pages and that includes all the f bombs this author loves to use. Guess it keeps the word count up. Missed the Red Stone people.

I really loved this story. I have to say one of the best, so far in the Red Stone Security series! It has all the elements of action, suspense and hot sex but I loved the Russian Mafia element. In this story we have Viktor who is on the straight and narrow and falling for Dominique. At first he cannot understand her animosity towards him, until he has his brother Abram, another hot, sexy Russian, do some digging. Needless to say the title of the book is aptly named. Viktor cannot hold back his attraction for her and Dominique learns that the man she thinks he is, is not really him at all. I loved, absolutely loved, the actions that these guys take when they have been betrayed. If I could give this book 10 stars, I would. Viktor had a sensitive part to him that only Dominique was privy to. Abram & Lucy's story was also endearing and loved Abram's take charge attitude and protectiveness for his brother. 5 RIP-ROARING STARS!!!!!

Exciting, well-orchestrated romantic suspense! His gaze strayed to her mouth as her tongue darted out to swipe cream off her bottom lip. He had to actually bite back a groan at the sight. He'd been with women who knew how to seduce, how to do everything right - because it was all choreographed and fake. With Dominique, he knew there was not artifice. Even if she was driving him crazy. LOVE THY ENEMY is the thirteenth book in the author's fabulous Red Stone Security series. Let me just say that Katie doesn't disappoint in the slightest with LOVE THY ENEMY! Every one of her books can be counted on to deliver. I've been dying to read Dominique's & Viktor's story since the previous book, SECRET OBSESSION. Dominique has vehemently loathed Viktor, an infuriatingly sexy Russian, for years. Viktor is unequivocally going to have to perform some miracles to break through Dominique's icy exterior. Red Stone Security employee Dominique has a serious grudge against Viktor because his father was a cutthroat crime boss and had treated Dominique's family badly when she was young. She thought Viktor was supportive of and committed to carry on his family's shady business dealings. Viktor didn't even know who Dominique was until he saw her at a party shooting evil glances his way. He was smitten with her from the first time he saw her and cannot understand why she dislikes him so intently. But, Viktor has a bigger problem as someone else seriously wants him dead... Viktor is an ex-cage fighter, big and tattooed with a ruthless reputation. That's just a facade as he's actually vulnerable inside and has only previously had short assignations with paid escorts. Dominique, on the other hand is a naive innocent; yet, she finds herself insanely attracted to Viktor despite her best intentions. They were both broken individuals and I loved them together. There's a secondary love story included featuring Abram and Lucy. Abram is Viktor's brother. (The Ivanov brothers were both HOT, HOT, HOT!) Abram and Lucy have been fighting their attraction for months. Their story is a wonderful addition to LOVE THY ENEMY making this book a fantastic two-for-one. I honestly can't get enough of Katie's writing AND her matched pairs. It is not necessary to read any of the previous books in this series to fully enjoy LOVE THY ENEMY. Every book in this series stands well on its own. That said, there are interconnected characters whose stories will captivate you. So, just know that your pleasure in the series will be increased the more books in the series you read. It really doesn't matter if the books are read in order. I'm betting once you read one, you'll want to read more!!!! Go for it! Katie is one of my very favorite authors. LOVE THY ENEMY is a highly emotional read with characterizations that will draw you in forthwith. It's fast-paced with a plethora of life-threatening action and ultra steamy love scenes. I highly recommend LOVE THY ENEMY to anyone who enjoys well-orchestrated romantic suspense! My full review is posted at Reading Between The Wines Book Club. Please check it out there!

This is my first read in the Red Stone Security series, and in the words of one reviewer, "once you read this one you will want to go back and read the others". She is absolutely right. It is as many have said, a standalone book. "Love Thy Enemy" has it all in suspense, romance, hot sexy guys, and a woman that speaks up, and is not afraid to do so to a man many are afraid of. Who doesn't love a ruthless man that can be oh so tender when he falls in love, with Viktor and Dominique sizzling on the pages? A fast paced story that will find you on the final page before you know it. I cannot wait to read the next in the series. Thank you to NetGalley and KR Press, LLC for gifting me with a copy of "Love Thy Enemy" and asking for my honest opinion. This is mine. 4.5 Stars!

Katie Reus has once again hit it out of the park with the 13th installment of the Red Stone Security Series. This is a standalone book that you can read without having read the others, but do yourself a favor and enjoy the entire series. Katie delivers 2 stories in one this time with brothers Viktor and Abram. They have fought their way back to respectability from their father’s gangster background. Dominique’s family had been destroyed by their father, and she blames Viktor as well, but can’t deny the attraction between them. Especially when she sees the lengths he will go to in order to protect her and keep her safe. Lucy is the very capable assistant of the brothers. Abram is convinced she is too good for him but he can’t stay away. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

Once again, Katie Reus brings us a story full of sexy alpha males and steamy romance! We are treated to not one but TWO romances in one book! The Ivanov Brothers are dangerous, mysterious and sexy as hell. I was swooning throughout the whole story! Viktor and Dominique had smokin’ hot chemistry. Dominique is a strong female with a horrible past. Viktor is a successful businessman with an equally disturbing past. When he sees Dominique, he HAS to have her, regardless of her distain for him. When Viktor gives her an extremely personal—and painful—gift, Dominique finds it hard to believe there are not any strings attached. When she confronts Viktor, passions ignite far brighter than either had expected. Dominique has the power to bring this stubborn Russian to his knees. Only question is, will she take the chance? There ain’t nothing sexier than a large, brooding Russian! I loved Viktor and his sexy brother Abram. The story was fast-paced, exciting and way too short! I’d love to read more about the Ivanov brothers and their sexy Russian associates! I highly recommend this and every book by Katie Reus! ***I was gifted an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

You know, every time I get my hands on a new Red Stone Security book I think that there is no way that it is going to top the last one and what do you know? It totally does! I absolutely adored Viktor! I loved that even though he was raised with a mobster father he didn't want that lifestyle for himself. He may be a ruthless businessman but he stays on the up and up.... for the most part. He sees Dominique at an event and was instantly attracted to her. He wants to meet her but is shocked to see that she seems to have a grudge against him even though they've never met. After some digging, Viktor finds out that his father is responsible for the death of her parents and is horrified. He wants to make amends to her. Dominique lost her home and her parents at a young age and even though the man responsible is dead she believes his son is cut from the same cloth and wants nothing to do with him. She can't understand why he is going out of his way to try to return her beloved childhood home to her with no strings attached. She doesn't trust him but the more time that they spend together the more she realizes that he is nothing like his father. We get another dual story here with Viktor/Dominique and (Viktor's brother) Abram/Lucy which is awesome. I love the intensity that Katie's heroes love their women! They are fiercely protective and will do anything necessary to keep them safe. Love Thy Enemy is full of action, suspense and romance. Great storyline, intriqing characters, I couldn't put it down! *I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This is one of my favorite series. Once I think I love the next one Katie goes and proves me wrong. I loved this story and I have read it a few times now. I really cannot wait to get my hands on the next one. Viktor's father made some terrible choices in life. And Viktor is paying that price. Especially since he spotted Dominique. She does not like him. She believes that the apple does not fall far from the tree. Dominique has had a tough life. She has set the past to the side and has not let her coworkers know of her history. When trouble comes calling and these two need to work together to figure out what is going on. Will they be able to work with their differences? An added bonus that I enjoyed was getting Abram and Lucy's story. :)

J: This is just a short story and it reads like one. Too much talk about sex, and sex way too soon in the relationships. I have zero connections to any of the characters and the story seems rushed. The plot is shallow and seems secondary to the romances, and I think she did a complete 180% turn in record time; illogical.

The 13th book in the Red Stone Security series, and I'm not disappointed one bit! Almost as soon as I finish one book, I'm excited for the next, already waiting on the next in this series. Dominique hated Viktor and his whole family for what was done to her family years earlier. No way in hell would she ever fall for him. No way would she feel anything but hatred for him. Viktor knows Dominique is the one for him, but all he sees is hate in her eyes when she looks at him. Looking at her past he understands why she feels the way she does, but he will make it right, he will find a way to make Dominique his. Every time they are together something seems to go wrong, but it brings them closer. When he realizes its because of him that she is in danger, there is nothing he wont do to protect her. There is action, and there is love. You won't be disappointed in this or any of the Red Stone Security books. An ARC was giving by the author in exchange for an

I must say that I liked Love Thy Enemy by Katie Reus. You don't necessary need to read the previous story to follow what is going on. The beginning sort of ties in with parts of the previous book, but then takes off in it's own direction. Basically, Dominique Castle hates Viktor Ivanov, because of something his father has done. Eventually the reason comes out, Viktor feels bad about the situation, and tries to make amends. While that is going on there is a secondary love story going between his brother and their assistant, It didn't necessary add to the story, but it was nice to see him to find happiness. I don't know if there was enough story to make its own story, so it was nice to add to Love Thy Enemy. Overall, Love Thy Enemy was a good story. Most of the story didn't focus around Red Stone Security, but mainly Viktor has his associates, and how they operate. Eventually, Red Stone guys are called into action. Who knows we might see more Viktor guys. Dominique didn't know how to handle Viktor's kindness, because she lumped him in the same category as his father. Of course, she had to eat crow. I really enjoyed seeing how this played out between the characters and if things could be overcome for them to move forward. Another great romance suspense by this author and looking forward to the next one.

Romantic suspense. This book is full of both and done well. Viktor cannot understand the dislike that is aimed at him when he first encounters Dominique at a business function but he is determined to find a way to get to know her better. Dominique finds it difficult to believe the son is any different than the father of the family that haunts her past. No matter how hard she tries to fight it, Dominique still finds herself attracted to Viktor and as a result is targeted by one of his enemies. Because of Viktor's own past dealings and family connections, he's not sure who is behind the various incidents that seem to happen each time he's with Dominique. But once Dominique is the main target, Viktor will stop at nothing to keep her safe. Katie is one of the best at developing her characters and their stories. Viktor Ivanov hated his brutal gangster father and is glad to be free of his tyranny. He and his half brother are now successful businessman. They are a formidable pair. Just ask those who have had dealings with them. When Viktor meets Dominique Castle, he doesn't understand why she hates him. When he learns her reasons, he tries to make things right. He's attracted to her beauty and innocence. Can he change her mind about him? Viktor and Abram are two powerful men who are use to getting what they want. Their swagger is addictive, but they are wary of establishing a permanent relationship with a woman. Their attitudes change when they each meet two feisty woman who are up to the challenge. I couldn't put down Love Thy Enemy. It was filled with great characters, two passionate romances and deadly treachery and betrayal. No one writes romantic suspense like Katie Reus. This is the thirteenth book in The Red Stone Security series. I received a copy in exchange for an honest and unscripted review.

Love Thy Enemy is the 13th book in the Redstone Security series. And although it's Viktor and Dominique's story, the secondary story of Abram and Lucy is what I really enjoyed about the book. The Ivanov brothers are ruthless and rich and someone is trying to take Viktor out, and doesn't care about who gets hurt or killed in the process. Falling for Dominique seems to be easier than keeping her alive but Viktor will do anything to keep her from being hurt again. Abram and Lucy have been fighting their attraction to each other for months and it finally comes to a head in an explosive way. Hopefully the Ivanov brothers will be featured an future book because they are forces to be reckoned with. ARC received from author in exchange for an honest review.

This is a great book; this is the thirteenth book in the Red Stone Security series by Katie Reus. This book can be read as a standalone, but once you read this one you will want to go back and read the others. The books in this series just keep getting better. Dominique Castle works for Red Stone Security; she learned early on that there are people in this world she can’t trust. She has kept her distance from anyone tied to her past especially Viktor Ivanov. Viktor is determined to crack through Dominique’s icy exterior. When he learns that she is in danger because of him, he will do anything to protect her. This book has a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. This was such a great read and full of surprises. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I feel like it was just a month ago when Secret Obsession was released and we already have the #13 book in the Red Stone Security series. Dominique is clever, loves her job at RSS and her friends, she is successful and beautiful but she does not have the people she loves the most, her parents. She is well aware that her father brought about their misfortunes but it was the devil himself that ruined them all! Dominique knows very well who to blame, Victor Ivanov and his father. It was his father that took everything from her, that made her an orphan. Victor’s father may be gone but as long as Victor, Dominique cannot forget what was taken from her. When she catches Victor’s eye though things change and it doesn’t take long to realize that Victor was never her enemy! Dominique and Victor’s story was great! I liked a lot of things about their story but there was one thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars! Dominique claims that she has hated Victor and his father for a long time, years actually, she blames both of them for her mother’s death. However, at the same time, she already appears quite taken with Victor despite blaming him. It seems so contradictory and a bit confusing. I could feel her pain and anger towards Victor’s family but one kiss is all it takes for her to forget everything! Really?! It was actually more than that! She was the one who went after him time and time again, not to take her revenge or anything but to pursue a romantic relationship. I don’t have a problem with strong heroines but with her and Victor’s history their romance seemed rushed and unrealistic. I especially liked Victor’s half-brother, Abram and their assistant, Lucy! Their relationship was HOT! I have no idea who is next but I hope the next book will be a bit longer. *ARC provided in exchange for an honest review*

She refuses to trust him. Red Stone Security employee Dominique Castle knows all too well that there are people in this world she just can't trust. After losing both her parents, Dominique keeps her distance from anyone tied to her past—especially the man she's hated for years. And Viktor Ivanov isn't going to change her mind about who he really is—no matter how determined the infuriatingly sexy Russian is. He's determined to win her over. She may hate him and not trust him, but Viktor is determined to crack through Dominique's icy exterior one way or another—even if it means taking the game into his own hands. With a past like Viktor's, he's made more than a few enemies along the way—enemies who'll stop at nothing to take him down. When Viktor realizes Dominique's life is in danger because of him, he’ll stop at nothing to protect her—whether she likes it or not. Now it's up to Dominique to trust the one man who's linked to the agony of her past. Can she find a way to love the enemy she always loathed? Review: Another great romantic suspense story from Ms. Reus! In this story the 13th book in the series Viktor who we met in a previous book as the owner of a bar and a business associate of Red Stone Security and Dominique who works as Porter's assistant at Red Stone. They don't start out on a great footing, Dominique holds Viktor and his brother accountable for the actions of their father and him tearing her family apart. Viktor finds out her past and tries to make amends for his father's sins against Dominique. Dominique is a strong woman, who has had a terrible and sad past, but has come through stronger. Once Dominique changes her feelings for Viktor and they start a relationship, she is thrown into the crossfire of someone seeking revenge with Viktor. Viktor, is pure alpha male out to protect what he thinks is his and really is kind of a softy when it comes to the people in his life that he cares about. There is great action in the story too. And of course as these two grow closer, you see great chemistry and two people who belong together. Also, we get a little extra romance with Viktor's brother, Abram and his assistant Lucy for a little extra spice. Now, even though this is the 13th book in the series, it definitely can be a stand alone book, you will not feel lost or confused. 4Stars *I received a copy of this book from the Author in exchange for a fair and honest review.*

Love Thy Enemy was pretty darn sweet! You actually get to stories in one. The main couple is Viktor and Dominique but then you get Viktor’s brother, Abram’s story with Lucy, their assistant. Both Viktor and Abram are perceived to be cold and ruthless son’s of a dead mob boss. They hated their father and wanted nothing to do with him, breaking away from those ties to become ligit business men but never really leaving the reputation behind. Viktor notices Dominique at an event and he can’t take his eyes off of her. He wants to know who she is immediately but one look from Dominique and he realizes she hates him. He has her background looked into and finds that his dead father was the reason for her parents downfall. Dominique learns that Viktor is not his father when he makes amends for what his father has done to her family. To see this big strong guy turn to complete mush for Dominique was incredibly sweet. Then you got Abram who thinks he isn’t good enough for their assistant Lucy but can’t stay away from her either. This story has insta-love and protective and possessive hero’s. I’m thrilled I have found another amazing author. This is the 2nd book I have read of Katie Reus and I have loved them both. ARC provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Two Russian brothers find their love connection… This is the thirteenth book in the Red Stone Security series that can be read as a stand-alone. Viktor Ivanov has come a long way from his roots, he’s a businessman with a shady past though his interests are now legitimate. Attending an event one night he spots a stunning tall blonde. It’s not often a woman attracts him so much so he follows her and makes eye contact and the look of hatred she gives him is undeniable. He doesn’t know her or what he could have done to earn such depth of negativity but he’ll find out. Learning of their connection he understands the enmity she showed him and tries to make amends expecting nothing in return yet wishing more were possible. Dominique Castle is an employee of Red Stone Security. Business one night brought her into contact with a man she hates, the son of a man who caused her family serious harm, as far as she’s concerned like father like son until proven otherwise. Not sure what to do with his trying to atone for the sins of his father when papers are delivered to her or if she should trust his motives she feels the need to confront the man. He’s a contradiction to his familial connections or so it seems and his sexy male presence draws and confuses her, around him she’s off her game which is not normal. There’s strong chemistry between Viktor and Dominique that neither is sure what to do with, they’ve both been defined by their pasts and unexpectedly find much in common. They reach out to see where this attraction might lead them. It’s rather sweet how out of his depth in relationships this Alpha was yet he’ll definitely try for it to have a chance with this woman. Dominique is a combination of toughness and innocence, she’s one to admit mistakes when proven wrong. The author seems to have a trend lately of two romances in one book. Both sexy Ivanov brothers find their love connections. I’m not sure which couple I liked more, Viktor and Dominque or Abram and Lucy who were so cute together, their antics made this reader smile often, their attraction has been brewing for a while until it inevitably exploded. Abram is Viktor’s half-brother who is so protective of the well-being of Lucy, the brother’s fantastic sassy assistant, nothing is too good for her. I liked how neither brother felt they were good enough for their women but they couldn’t help themselves. And being a Red Stone Security book of course there’s a good dose of suspense with a villain whose identity is elusive until the ending. Viktor has made enemies over the years but it is only when he has someone that he truly cares for that one strikes to maximize hurting him. As always there are multiple points of view in these stories to let us into the psyche of the players. This was a good addition to the series with very likable characters. ARC provided by the author.

4.25 stars--LOVE THY ENEMY is the thirteenth installment in Katie Reus’s contemporary, adult RED STONE SECURITY romantic, suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for RSS. LOVE THY ENEMY is a storyline that follows two building relationships: Red Stone Security employee Dominique Castle, and Russian business man Viktor Ivanov; as well as Victor’s brother Abram Ivanov, and his personal assistant Lucy. LOVE THY ENEMY like all of the other installments can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Some characters cross over from previous installments. Told from several third person perspectives LOVE THY ENEMY focuses on attacks against Viktor Ivanov from an unknown assailant. As local businessmen Viktor and his brother Abram are well known on the real estate market but their father’s criminal past has marked the brothers guilty by association and especially to Dominique Castle – a woman who lost everything to some from the brother’s past. As Viktor pursues Dominique and offers to pay his family’s debt, Abram decides it is time to get closer to the woman who has called to his heart for close to a year. But someone has targeted Viktor, and the enemy could be someone close. Dominique is a strong woman whose life has been torn apart by grief and loss. Meeting Viktor Ivanov brings back all of the horrific memories from her childhood and teens, and with it the icy barrier around her broken heart. Viktor is a man far separated from the criminal life his father once led- a life Viktor and his brother know only too well. Now that their personal and business life is no longer connected to crime, the brothers have set out to win the hearts of the women they love. Viktor is totally out of his element as he tries to woo and date Dominique, and it doesn’t help that every time they are out in public, someone makes an attempt against their lives. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and passionate. Several of the Red Story Security employees play secondary and supporting roles. Abram and Lucy’s relationship builds on the periphery of Viktor and Dominique’s story, but it was nice to see two happily ever afters in one story. LOVE THY ENEMY is a story packed with mystery, suspense, and action. The premise is captivating; the characters are animated, charismatic and fated; the romance is inspiring and intense. Another winner from the pen of Katie Reus.

This story drew me in from the start as I love the Red Stone Security series. I enjoyed the way the author entwined the brothers stories at times. There is mystery, suspense and intense sexual chemistry throughout. The characters have remarkable connections as the story moves along. Another hit, for sure. Gifted a copy for an honest review.
