What can I say. I love this family from start to finish. Zane's story lives up to the family's heritage. Zane is strong, honorable, sexy and thankfully persistent. Barrie is a good match for him in every way. Note: all the stories in this series are able to stand on their own. As the family is the center of the series if you start at the beginning, the story is enriched with the history of which it all flows Highly recommend.

A sequel to Mackenzie's Mountain, this is the story of Joe, who becomes an Air Force Pilot, and Test Pilot and what happens when a sexy Engineer, Caroline Evans, joins the team. When sabotage is discovered and she's implicated neither of them know who to trust, their heads or their hearts. It's not bad, a little ho-hum occasionally but I did love Caroline as a character.

Remember Joe, the pensive and compelling teenager from 'Mackenzie's Mountain'? Well he's back, he's all grown up, and he's more intriguing than ever. This book follows up on the incredible Mackenzie family, setting the tone for a series of extraordinary men and the women who love them. 'Mackenzie's Mission' has a little bit of everything: romance, sex appeal, and action. My only complaint is that this isn't a full-size novel. I could have easily and happily read more of this one.

Another fun Linda Howard. Joe was the son in Mackenzie's Mountain, but now it's 20 years or so later, and he's all grown up and a Colonel in the US Air force. He meets Caroline, too smart physicist/computer something or other and sparks fly. It moves quickly, and their relationship builds very quickly. I hadn't reread this for some time and found that I liked Mackenzie's Mountain better, but maybe it's because they are so similar (in the characters, not the settings) that reading them back to back isn't a good idea. As a stand alone, I've always loved it. B+

I liked Colonel Joe Mackenzie and his spunky distraction Caroline Evans. The dialogue was great between them, and she showed him that she was no pushover. Not one of LH's best

Loved Joe McKenzie and his girl Caroline Evans. Not the best book of hers but it has a little bit of everything that made it just right for me.

Even though Joe's personality stayed the same if you had not read about him in McKenzie Mountain you would not have experience the full force of him. Not as good as Wolf and Mary's story. Hope Zane's goes back true to the warrior story.

Ms. Howard always writes a wonderful story. I'd been reading her books for awhile and I think she's sensational. This book was terrific. Once you get started, you won't want to put it down. Don't miss it.

I picked up this book and could not put it down. Ms. Howard writes a fabulous story about a stubborn blonde and a man who does not accept defeat.
