The Great Wedding Giveaway - Book 9

Everyone in Marietta, Montana, is in love and getting married - at least that's the way it feels to Andie Bennett the night of the Valentine's Ball. As she watches the man she's loved from afar for half her life dance with another woman, Andie allows herself a moment of sheer fantasy as she fills out a stray entry form for the Great Wedding Giveaway. Andie channels years of fantasy and yearning for Heath McGregor onto the page, but she never intends to actually enter the Giveaway. Only a crazy woman would do that. But fate has other ideas....

When Heath learns he and Andie are last minute finalists in the Great Wedding Giveaway, he's completely baffled. How on earth could anyone make such a ridiculous mistake? When it becomes clear that Andie will be humiliated if the slip-up becomes public, Heath does what any good friend would - he suggests they pretend the engagement is real until the Giveaway is over and then quietly "break up" when no one is paying any attention. It's the perfect solution, except Heath very quickly realises that pretending Andie is his is no hardship at all. In fact, it may just be the best thing that's ever happened to him...

A fabulous ending to The Great Wedding Giveaway series. Always friends, never lovers. That is what Andie Bennett thought about her brother's best friend and her employer Heath McGregor. Over the years, it was painful as she watched him date all those cute petite curvy girls and knew he would never give her a second look since she was tall and slender. She would always be considered "like a little sister" to him. Her secret desires and fantasies would never come true. One night at the Valentine's Ball, Andie gets drunk and writes up an entry for The Great Wedding Giveaway. It was to be Marietta's big event of the year. She didn't plan on turning in the entry. It was just drunk ramblings after all. But, when she ran from the ballroom in an attempt to make it to the bathroom before getting sick (from drinking too much), she forgot the entry and it was left on the table. Someone found it and turned it in. Heath was a little surprised when he found out about the entry and how him and Andie had made semi-finalists. They decided to pretend to be a couple so not to disappoint anyone in town. They could call off their fake engagement once this crazy contest was behind them. As they played their roles, it became more then just a pretend relationship. They had become lovers after all. I loved this story of how Heath and Andie's friendship turned to romance. It was a very well written book that I got hooked on really quick.

Love Heath has always been her friend, the guy she has had a crush on since she was 13, and her boss. And also her brother's friend. What is Andie to do. He always dates women so opposite her. She went yo the Valentine's Day Ball hoping her would see her, but he had a date. She drank a little too much wine, they were passing out forms for the wedding giveaway, she filled out as a joke, but didn't turn it in. Little did she know.

I enjoyed the story, but it would have much better if there had not been so many misspelled words and terrible grammatical errors. Whomever edited this book screwed up.

I enjoyed this book. Gets to the point but with backstory. I would love to know more about Lilly and Beau too. Not sure if their story is written already? I got this book for free. You feel her struggle and boy did it take Heath forever to see what he had right under his nose. But i feel like life happens the way it should. So happy for them to grow and love one another. Romantic , comedy.

This book is an excellent romance story to read; it was hard to put down since I was curious as to how everything was going to turn out, especially considering the circumstances.

Not a cliffhanger! Delicious romance of friends becoming more. I found this a new way of telling an old storyline. I found the shared grief, youth, and new ways of seeing life fun and delightfully predictable. I recommend this story to you!

130 pages. Very nice story, interesting characters. I was hesitant about the premise, but the storyline was believeable. Good pace and development. Fun watching them fall in love. Definitely recommend.

What a fun and engaging read! Make-Believe Wedding by Sarah Mayberry completely had me grinning from ear to ear with its interesting plot, well-defined characters and heated love scenes. If you enjoy the Older Brother's Best Friend romance trope, then this book is for you. Andie Bennett has be in love with Heath McGregor, her brother Beau's best friend, the moment she realized boys do not have cooties. Unfortunately, Heath has only seen Andie as a kid sister, friend and employee, while Andie has silently dealt with her feelings on the sidelines. Nevertheless, due to a little too much imbibing, Andie inadvertently enters them into a Wedding Giveaway competition. When Andie and Heath are selected as semi-finalists, Heath goes along with it in order to save Andie from a ton of ribbing, embarrassment and humiliation. Spending time together naturally encourages a relationship and sparks fly in the bedroom. Overall, this is a quick-paced read that was so delightful, I was unable to put it down. Andie and Health are likeable, real and amusing, and there was never a moment that I did not want them to be together. Spend some time in Marietta, Montana and lose yourself in the love-lives of the warm-hearted people there.
