Love those Marines? I always have and, after reading Ms. Havens' book, love them even more. First, I loved Chelly - everything about her spoke as authentic and she was just a delight to read about. She's fiercely independent and wary of anything and anyone trying to snip her wings. I'm sure all of the independent ladies on the run out there can relate. Enter Matt, when they have a fated meeting and they both are trying to figure out what's happening between the two of them. Love happens, sparks flying and steam rising the whole time, but not without the conflict of Chelly trying to stay grounded with Matt, and with him trying his best not to be so controlling. Ms. Havens created a world so real, it was hard to read the end because I just wanted more story. She doesn't leave anything hanging, wrapping up their love story with a big, sweet, red bow. I'm excitedly looking forward to other books by Ms. Havens and absolutely recommend giving this a thorough read. Exceptionally well done! I was granted a promotional copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was under zero obligation to offer anything but my truthful thoughts on this book.
