People will marry without love for a variety of reasons. Wealth, power, land, prestige, honor or pregnancy are just a few of them, but Tegan Ash didn't want to marry for any of those reasons. She just needed a green card to pursue her dream. Now that Chet won't help her, was six weeks long enough to find another willing man to marry her, or was she destined to return to Australia, her dreams unfulfilled? Honestly, Tegan no longer knew. Coming to America eighteen months before under a sponsorship, marriage was the last thing on her mind. She wanted to follow the rodeo circuit, competing in barrel racing, before finally settling down to run her parents' farm. Now, she has lost her sponsorship to younger, better riders, according to her sponsor, the family farm has been sold from under her, and her proposed fiance has jilted her at the altar. And the largest crowning glory to her troubles, Chet's sarcastic, insensitive, bad influencing but handsome best friend has just jokingly offered to marry her. She couldn't do that...could she? They didn't even like each other. Or was their animosity a cover for a different kind of awareness? Wanting to follow the rodeo for a few years to sow his wandering urges, Jamie MacCreadie and Chet had a partnered up for the circuit. Jamie always had plans to return to the farm, but until then, he sent most of his winnings home to help with the farm's improvements. He had tried to make his family understand his position, but their relationship was still strained. Now he had created a new problem. Jokingly, he had offered to take Chet's place with the abrupt, flashy, hard-edged Tegan. What had made him offer? After all, they didn't even like each other... or did they? Was that enmity between them just a smoke screen for a much more basic form of awareness? I found this a fun, easy read. The writing, dialogue, and descriptions flowed smoothly to make for an enjoyable story. I would recommend this to all romance readers. I received a copy from the author for an honest review. 5/5 stars Would she stay or would she go???

4.5 stars!  Tegan Ash has to get married so she can stay in the United States. She's got nothing waiting for her at home in Australia and she's got a groom ready to go until he backs out. Tegan thinks Chet changed his mind because of his best friend Jamie. They've never gotten along until Chet, the thread that ties them together is no longer the buffer between them. Jamie feels bad for Ash and wants to help her especially since his best pal let her down... Novellas aren't very long and if you're lucky the one you're reading is written very well so you get the whole story in a small number of pages. Lillian Darcy is veteran author and this novella doesn't disappoint.  Tegan is let brutally down when Chet backs out at the altar but she realizes what she was asking of him was too much to ask from anyone. (view spoiler) When Chet reveals his reasons for saying no at the last minute, Tegan is astounded by the maturity Jamie shows especially when she didn't think he was capable. Jamie's view of Tegan changes when he sees her stripped of the shield she wears.  Seeing Tegan and Jamie really see each other for the first time was wonderful. Watching them come to grips with the personal hurdles and try to cross them so that they be together was great; most couples these days give up the moment they come across obstacles. The chemistry between was smoking as well.  I'm loving these Montana Born stories. I'm sure you will as well.

Tegan Ash is set to marry to get her green card.   When the groom backs out at the last minute his best friend,Jamie MacCreadie volunteers.   The problem is Tegan and Jamie cannot stand each other.    They are both on the rodeo circuit so seeing each other is a given. Jamie is a hottie.   Rodeo man with a great big heart.  From the very beginning he won me over.  Not only did eh volunteer to take his best friends place to keep Tegan in the US but he also kept discreet tabs on his best friend when his life was spiraling out of control.     He had a great sense of when to push someone and when to step back and let them falter a little bit. Tegan is difficult.   She had a chip on her shoulders towards Jamie but doesn't really know why.     When sparks started to fly between Jamie and Tegan I could feel her step back and wonder what was going on.    I learned to love her as she opened her heart and realized that if she had to go back to Australia the world would not end.   She also managed to give Jamie support as he tried to reconnect with his family. This is an amazing novella.    The emotions were real and presented to the reader in a way that pulled you right into the story.      I will recommend this to all my chic lit friends.

Review provided courtesy of Romance Junkies MARRY ME, COWBOY draws readers into the fictional town of Marietta, Montana, where the sights and sounds of the Copper Mountain Rodeo come to life. Author Lilian Darcy excels at spinning a story that will capture your heart and imagination, and will leave a lasting impression that you will not soon forget. Tegan Ash is a native Australian who is in the United States on a visa that is about to expire. Not wanting to leave the country, she makes arrangements with her friend Chet to get married so that she does not have to give up riding in the rodeo circuit. When Chet backs out and leaves Tegan at the alter, she must reconsider her plans and she may have to go back home. Jamie MacCreadie is a man of few words. He and Tegan do not exactly see eye to eye, but he offers to marry her anyway to help her with her dilemma. Jamie is not prepared for the overwhelming attraction that he has for Tegan because the two just cannot seem to get along. Can two people who are so at odds with one another possibly find love together? Tegan is shocked when she realizes that she harbors feelings for Jamie. The sexual chemistry between the two is explosive. Tegan has unresolved issues with her family and Jamie encourages her to go back home to work her problems out. I loved that Teagan is such a strong and resilient character. It was a pleasure to read about a woman who can hold her own in the rodeo ring. Jamie may not have a lot to say, but he is an awesome friend. He is there for Chet when he drinks too much and when he discloses a life-altering secret. I fell for Jamie’s vulnerable side and the way that he interacts with his family. He and Tegan might not always agree, but the banter between the two kept me amused. Lilian Darcy really brings the town of Marietta, Montana, to life with vivid descriptions that will have readers kicking up dirt, smelling the food from the concession stands and enjoying the beautiful scenery. MARRY ME, COWBOY is a fresh and fun novella that makes for a quick and satisfying read. I highly recommend that you get yourself a copy today!

Jamie and Tegan had the natural relationship of a heavy dose of attitude towards each other that left a lot of misperceptions of their true character. Even Tegan's fiancé that gilts her at the alter has some perception that is different than he lets people believe. Once, Tegan and Jamie are thrown together life natural happens. Very nice read, picked it up and was finished before I realized it.

Tegan Ash and Jamie MacCreadie had known each other for a few years, but until they start spending time with each other after she is left at the altar by a mutual friend, do they discover that the feelings they have for each other weren’t as deeply buried as they thought. Marry Me, Cowboy was a light, easy read. I enjoyed seeing Tegan and Jamie explore their feelings and figure out that they are meant for each other. Book 2 in Montana Born’s Copper Mountain Rodeo series is definitely worth reading.

The Copper Mountain Series continues to deliver! The second novella in the Copper Mountain series, Marry Me, Cowboy, introduces us to Tegan and Jamie and life on the rodeo circuit. Teagan, an Australian barrel racer, needs a green card. Her visa is about to expire, and here good friend, Chet, agrees to marry her. Unfortunately, the his best friend, Jamie, has his reservations, and not all have to do with Chet. Tegan and Jamie have never gotten along, but when her wedding plans go awry and Jamie makes plans to go home after the Copper Mountain rodeo, things begin to change. It is fun watching the interaction between the two, as well as how they grow together and become supportive. It is also fun to meet new people in Marietta, Montana, as well as hear a little more about some we have already met. Lillian Darcy paces the novella well, and the relationship's progression is very believable. This is a great new addition to the series, and I can't wait for the next!

Marry Me, Cowboy by Liliana Darcy a great novella.  Second book in the Copper Mountain Rodeo series. Grabbed me from the first page until the last page hated it to be over.   Loved the connection between the characters especially Tegan and Jamie.  Such great dialogue.   A must read for anyone who loves to read a great romance between a hot cowboy and a sexy rodeo girl.  Looking forward to more of this series and more by this author.

Tegan and Jamie think they've hated each other for 2 years. Tegan needs to get married for a green card or go back to Australia where she thinks there's nothing waiting for her. Unfortunately, Tegan's shot with Chet is over when he stops the wedding at the altar. Later, Jamie offers, but she can't marry someone she doesn't like. She doesn't like him, right? They're so similar, running from family, wanting a future with a farm/ranch, being in the rodeo is just temporary... Secrets abound in this story, and as they slowly unravel for Tegan and Jamie, the sparks fly, emotions change, and the reality is, they love each other. And maybe, deep down, Tegan really wants to marry for love and wear a wedding dress, not just have a green card cowgirl wedding. Who knew the trick to finding love, family, and a future would be at the rodeo in Montana?

Tegan and Jamie are so cute! The attraction is there from the beginning but it's almost like high school, the air is thick with the tension but no one calls it out, especially as Tegan is engaged to one of Jamie's closest friends. When that falls through though no one can predict what happens.  Jamie has a hard time dealing with people, talking with women in particular and Tegan, well she shoots straight and doesn't always seem to have a filter with what she says. When you get the two of them together with some pretty big issues the world shifts a bit.  Definitely worth picking up as a quick, easy, blown away read.

Another great novella! Marry Me Cowboy by Lilian Darcy is book 2 in the Copper Mountain Rodeo Series. This novella begins with our heroine Tegan-who is from Australia in the USA on a visa competing in rodeos as a barrel racer needing to marry to stay in the USA. Tegan had asked good friend rodeo rider Chet to marry her which he agreed to. Chet's good buddy Jamie on the rodeo circuit was opposed to this marriage! You see Tegan and Jamie hated each other and Chet was keeping a big secret. When Chet backs out of this wedding for reasons of his own is when the story really gets interesting. You need to get the book to find out what happens between Tegan and Jamie, also to find out Chet's secrets, you will not be disappointed! Marry Me, Cowboy is a very good 2nd book in this series by very talented authors. Received this book as a ARC in exchange for a honest review

Jamie MacCreadie may be a rodeo champion but he doesn't win points with Tegan Ash. These two are constantly battling. Tegan is a barrel-racer from Australia. When her marriage of convenience to Chet Wyndham, Jamie's best friend, falls through. Tegan realizes Jamie been protecting his friend. When Chet goes home to face his problems, Jamie and Tegan get to know each other. Their relationship goes beyond friendship. They know that trust and love are vital if they are to have a future. Can they do that? Lilian Darcy has written a poignant story that is part of the Copper Mountain Rodeo series. The characters are people that you like and care about. You want them to find love and happiness. A short and very sweet tale that leaves you wanting more. Don't miss reading Marry Me, Cowboy.

This is the second book in this series and its a really good book! Tegan Ash is a rodeo barrel horse rider, her plans are to marry Chet before her green card expire, but he backs out at the last minute. So she's ready to go back to her ranch in Australia which has been sold. Tegan goes to Marietta Montana with Jamie who has runs a family ranch there, but they don't know much about his life. Chet has a secret and he leaves and that's when Jamie and Tegan's relationship turns up the heat. I like reading about rodeo and cowboys and a good love story and this book had all three. Got to read this book!

Tegan & Chet are rodeo circuit riders about to walk down the aisle together, not because they are in love, but because Tegan’s visa is about to expire and she’s not ready to go back to Australia yet.  Unfortunately, Chet has a change of heart at the last minute & decides he can’t marry Tegan.  Chet’s best friend Jamie & Tegan have never really gotten along, but after the wedding debacle they are thrown together when Chet reveals a big secret to them then leaves town.  Once they realize their dislike for each other is misplaced and acknowledge the attraction they have always denied, sparks fly. LOVED this story!  I really liked the first novella in the Copper Mountain Rodeo series; this one had the same vibe, but was totally different and unique in its plot and focus on the rodeo.  I really enjoyed the rodeo setting and thought the characters and the romance between them were very well written and believable.  Quick, fun read, definitely one I would recommend!

Marry Me, Cowboy by Lilian Darcy is such a great story. It just so easy to read and you get caught up in the story from page one. It’s a light read with a great story line and really good characters. It’s a cowboy story about rodeo and barrel racing but it’s mostly a love story. It’s the first story from Lilian Darcy that I have read but definitely not the last. She has written a great easy to read story and I loved every bit of it. I can highly recommend it.

Not only do I love the stories of The Cooper Mountain Rodeo novellas, but I absolutely am loving the covers! In Marry Me, Cowboy by Lilian Darcy, Tegan makes the rodeo circuits barrel racing.  Originally from Australia and her visa about to expire, Tegan is all set to marry her fellow rodeo rider Chet so that she can stay in the country.  There is no romance involved, it is pure practicality.  So when Chet suddenly calls off the wedding (at the wedding!), Tegan is not heart broken, but disappointed...she's not ready to go back to Australia yet.  She'd like nothing more to blame Chet's good friend Jamie for that fiasco! As far as Tegan can tell, her and Jamie are complete opposites with nothing in common.  They only seem to antagonize each other.  Tegan is flashy, likes to talk, and not at all the kind of woman Jamie wants to be with.  When he finds himself offering spur of the moment to marry Tegan so she can stay in the country, neither of them really take his offer seriously.  Both of them choose to ignore the little sparks the other can set off.  But when Chet comes clean with his secret, Tegan sees a whole new side of Jamie...one she just might like.  They've known each other for almost two years, but just now, while in Marieta,  they are suddenly spending more and more time together.  Both of them have pasts, hurts and issues they struggle with, things they want to do.   They just might have way more in common than either of them thinks, and maybe being together will be more than either of them thought possible! Marry Me, Cowboy is another fun romance in The Cooper Mountain Rodeo series.  I loved being back in Marieta.  Tegan and Jamie are both people you can relate to, and the way they come together shows that sometimes facing the past is the only way to move forward.  I liked the way they were able to get past their perceived differences and finally talk to each other!  They are a bit younger than what I usually like to read about, but they are strong enough characters that I really enjoyed them!  Marry Me, Cowboy is a great example of how many times there is way more to a person than you first think, and if you go a bit deeper you might like what you find!  Lilian managed to draw me in quickly to Tegan and Jamie's story and keep me there, not only for them but for the secondary characters also - more people that I wouldn't mind finding out more about, really letting your imagination take you where you want them to go!   If you haven't read Tempt Me, Cowboy (the first book in the series), Marry Me, Cowboy can certainly be read as a stand alone novella.  I highly recommend reading them both though!

This story had me roped into from the very beginning until the end. The characters of Tegan and Jamie were very believable. How can Tegan not fall in love with a sexy cowboy even though they were not friends in the beginning. I have never been to rodeo but after this story I sure want to go one. If you love cowboys and rodeos then this book is for you.

When I think of Rodeo’s, I think of cowboys and who can resist a cowboy? The way they swagger and fill out those wranglers…….sigh. Marry Me, Cowboy is Book 2 of The Copper Mountain Rodeo Series and is by the fabulous Lilian Darcy. Lilian Darcy is able to pack a whole lot of story in this novella. This is Jamie and Tegan’s story and Darcy does a fantastic job of giving us their back stories without making them wordy or forced, and their back stories are definitely important to understand who Jamie and Tegan are how they came to the rodeo life. Tegan is Australian and needs a green card to stay in the US and her friend Chet has offered to marry her, but backs out at the last minute; he is battling his own demons and has very valid reasons for not going through with the wedding. On a whim their other rodeo buddy Jamie, offers to marry Tegan. Tegan declines because she and Jamie hate each other or so they think. But there is a fine line between love and hate…….. Darcy does a nice job of describing the rodeo and the rodeo life; I felt like I was right there with them and found myself cheering them on in their events and in their relationship. I am loving this series written by some of my favorite authors and I can’t wait for book 3 out in October by C.J. Carmichael’s Promise Me, Cowboy followed by Jane Porter’s Take Me, Cowboy, and it all started with Megan Crane’s Tempt Me, Cowboy.

Tegan Ash is a champion barrel-racer from Australia who is planning on marrying her friend, Chet, for a green-card to stay in the United States. When Chet calls off the wedding at the last minute, his friend Jamie offers to take his place even though he and Tegan have never really gotten along. From there things get really interesting. I loved this book right from the start. The characters were very real (including their quirks and imperfections) and the author, Lilian Darcy, did a wonderful job of describing everything to the reader so well that it was like I was there with them. And really, how can you go wrong when you are talking about a strong, sexy cowboy? It was a very quick and enjoyable read and I was almost sad when it was over because I wanted to read more about Tegan, Jamie, Chet, and their families.

Grab your hat and pull on your boots. We're going for a ride. And, what a ride it was. Tegan, an Australian barrel racer plans to marry her friend, Chet so she can stay here in the country to live her dream of competing on the rodeo circuit. When plans fall through, she decides to return home after the Copper Mountain Rodeo in Marietta, Montana. When Chet leaves town to see his family, Tegan becomes better friends with Jamie, Chet's teammate who is from Marietta. She becomes very close with him and they each open up about the secrets of their past. How far will this go? Does it become just another fling among two lonely people traveling together? Or, will it become something much more? I loved how this book was written and all the details. You could picture yourself there among the mountains and the rodeo crowds.

Marry Me, Cowboy had me hooked from start to finish! I enjoyed seeing the way Tegan and Jamie opened up with one another throughout the book. I did not want the book to end. If you are looking for a quick read it won't disappoint.

Tegan and Chet, both riders in the rodeo, are about to get married.  Where most marry for love, these two are planning to marry for convenience.  Tegan is an Australian native whose Visa is about to expire in the next few weeks.  She knows that if she doesn’t marry an American citizen soon that she risks losing her Visa and being forced to go back to Australia.  Although Australia is home to her, she has no home to go to.  Her family sold the farm that she was hoping to take over.  She told them that she was only going to be gone for a couple years.  She even came home when she was able to, but that didn’t stop them.  And now Tegan has no place to call home.  Betrayed and determined to find a way to stay in the states, her and Chet arranged for this marriage to take place.  However, when the wedding day came, Chet couldn’t go through with it.  Scared and confused, Tegan is left to figure out what she’s going to do now. Jamie MacCreadie knows how to draw the attention of the crowd at the rodeo and the women on the streets.  He’s a man of few words, but could get what he wants simply with his smile.  Jamie and Chet have been best friends, but Tegan isn’t too keen on Jamie.  From the very beginning their personalities clashed, but something has changed.  Trying to make Chet feel better about his decision to call off the wedding, therefore not being able to help Tegan, Jamie offered to marry her.  Tegan brushed off his offer, but couldn’t help noticing the physical attraction that she was starting to feel for him.  She doesn’t understand why she’s having these feelings, especially since her and Jamie don’t even get along.  But could he have been serious?  And could Tegan really consider his offer? Marry Me, Cowboy is such an amazing book.  From the very beginning I felt like I was on a rodeo ride of emotions.  Each character had their own issues that they were dealing with, but through it all they were always there for each other.
