I love doing meditation. This book is a very helpful, comprehensive guide book with beginners in mind but could also serve  those who have become a bit "rusty" or just wish to refresh the ideas which may have become stagnated without continuous study.  It is hard not me to appreciate this book. I am not a native English speaker. This book  language is simple and direct without complex  diction or advanced theory. The well organize layout  keep your attention easier and find what you're looking for faster.  I was able to learn about the history of mediation: both why is was useful to people in the past and why even such an old tool  is still completely relevant and useful today. I even new about the few things but finally I get a chance to learn in depth.  We are still human, our minds are the same, only small differences in technology have changed really, and so this guide  offers still one of the greatest feats the human mind can achieve when it is clear, in control and balanced. The best part about this book and the part  I really enjoyed the review of many styles of meditation because we are all different at which level we come to the book and how we wish to pursue this path. This is perfect guide for beginner.

I found this book very soothing on many levels. The message projected was lovely, that of releasing negative emotions not only within oneself, but those received from others. The techniques were very clearly explained, and there was a wide variety that made it easy to not only set up a regular schedule, but work them into on-the-spot situations and help with immediate concerns. This is a wonderful read, and an excellent guide to meditation that I heartily recommend. I received a discount for review purposes. My opinions are my own.

This was a great informative read about how to become more relaxed. Meditation is an excellent way to learn self relaxation. It teaches great breathing exercises and how to calm your mind and spirit. I found that once i learned to use it correctly it was helping me deal with day to day situations. Great learning tool!

It is a very easy read and very informative. I need these at work most days. I have 15 minute breaks so I can devote 10 of it to becoming more relaxed. Meditation is a good form of self relaxation. Ways to try and let some things go. You just have to breathe in and breathe out.  This helps you learn how to calm your mind as well as your body. When you can fully relax the day goes by easier and with less stress. If you have ever considered try Meditation this is a perfect book for you to start with.

This book has been able to help me help my husband. My hubby has PTSD from the Iraqi war and being with him when he has episodes  in stores can get scary for some. I have meditated before and tried to teach him some my techniques but they didnt work for him. With these they are short and to the point so that he can calm down within a reasonable amount of time. Its also was helpful in teaching mediation through activities. FOr example Chapter 5 talks about walking and mediating-this was a great chapter for my husband. He know uses this a t work when he feels anxious. I highly recommend this book. .

This is the perfect beginners guide on everything zen. The book covers how to start slowly with mediation for one minute. Finding a calm place to practice and techniques and how to align your spine. I started with the one minute exercise and found that it really calmed my nerves. Overall I think this is the perfect book for beginners.

My mom meditates every day. I never really did it with her. She still tells me I should set some time aside everyday to free myself. This book is a great start to that. It requires little time for those of us that say we're too busy. It explains everything thoroughly and even has a gradual plan to ease you into this way of life. This book won't be for everyone, but isn't bad for someone who wants to break into daily meditation.

If you want to find some peace and quiet in your everyday life, this is the ticket. Meditation isn’t going to be my thing. This is good if you’re trying to mix this in every day. Ten minutes should be easy to squeeze into most people’s schedules. This book is well enough to peak my interest. There are also different 28-day programs for work into a routine. My wife and I try it occasionally, but we haven’t made a habit of it. If you’re interested in starting off in meditation, this is definitely a good pick up.

This book will help you realize that within 10 minutes you can become more focused and ready to take on the daily tackles of life like a pro! This book helped me begin the meditation process and they are plenty of various options that will suit just about anyone! You will read this book and want to start getting into a pose and just closing out the rest of the world while you focus on yourself!

I have never been able to mediate because, well, I just can't relax or so I thought. I am in love with this book. Not only is it super easy to follow and do the 10 minute exercises, but it is helpful for those that really don't understand mediation. I have learned how to channel my "inner self" and not repress it. With simple thoughts and exercises this book can help you on your journey to relax. This is a great book for beginners like myself to get a better understanding of how to relax! Personally the "take ten" has now become a must in my life. Great book! I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn about meditation.  I now feel a lot more calm and at peace I found this book to be very helpful.  I now sleep better and over all I'm more blissful. Its a great book for a beginner like my self,  I found that it full of great helpful tips. It really liked that it went in depth and that it was a easy read. I found  this book to be very joyful as well easy to understand. I got this book at no charge in exchange for a honest review.

I love this book. I never understood meditation but am trying. I know how healthy for the body and mind it is. This is a great beginner's book with short time periods for busy people.  I shared it with my mom (she enjoys Tai chi) and she liked how easy it was to clear her mind and feel more balanced.  She is on a lot of medications and feels they sometimes fog her brain.  This eBook helped her find a way to center her thoughts and feel a little more balanced.

I listen to meditation music to go to sleep sometimes but I have never actually meditated.  This book was right up my alley, being a beginner I fell right into it and received some wonderful information and can not wait to get started.  Not only has meditation been shown to ease your mind and put you at rest, but it helps your body to heal itself too! Elizabeth Reninger gives beginners wonderful starts at just 10 minutes a day in step-by-step guidance.  I am sure that everyone can spare 10 minutes out of their day to just focus on their self and enjoy some peace and clearing of the soul and mind.  Nothing is better for you than taking care of yourself, whether it is eating right or getting enough rest.  Now I have 18 techniques to try in just 10 minutes every day to help with my daily routine to live longer and more peaceful!

I was definitely  not very confident  in my ability  to allow myself  to be in a meditative state before reading this book. However, I was in fact able to meditate and even relax. The chapter on "befriending  the monkey brain" was very helpful to me. I often find myself  over thinking  and constantly worrying.  In am now doing ten minute  sessions  andfinding  themextremely  beneficial to my daily life.

I found this book very helpful. My house tends to be very hectic and stressful with 4 kids and a busy husband who works from home. I honestly think I am close to pulling my hair out everyday. This book helped me learn the benefits of meditation and has given me a way to destress for a few minutes a day. I feel a lot better after working on meditation for the past couple of weeks. As someone who is trying to really incorporate meditation into my daily life, I can really appreciate that this book has a multitude of offerings on how to work in meditation into your daily life in just about 10 minutes.  I really enjoyed this book - it was an easy read and had a lot of thought provoking ideas that have really helped me connect more with myself both on the inner peace side of things and overall spirituality.  I did find it was a bit heavy on the anecdotes and at times, that felt a bit much, but the overall feeling and vibe of a positive life with meditation was there and I really liked that.  I liked the imagery of the soles of my feet kissing the ground and the intimacy that this thought evoked for me and how I had never connected that idea together before - it was humbling and really did give me a new level of self-awareness.  I think this is a good read for anyone looking to find more mechanisms for coping with busy schedules but needing to find that inner "me" time to really de-stress and re-engage with yourself.

I love meditation but it's not the easiest thing for me to do. As soon as I sit still my mind runs with all the things I should be accomplishing. This book was perfect for helping to find my focus. I can use Meditation for relaxation or to calm down when I need a break from a stressful day.

This book is great.  I love how the difference between mediation and relaxing are defined in the first chapter.  I have been using this book since I got it and truly mediating for 10 minutes instead of simply relaxing has made a world of difference for me.  The step by step guide is easy to follow the sessions are kept short enough that you won't start to wonder off.  Overall, this is a great read that I highly recommend.

I have never been much of someone who meditates. But after reading this book, I feel comfortable in meditation. It would always stress me out thinking that I would need to take time out of my day to try and meditate. My job is stressful so I am glad that I found this book to help me out!

I am a newbie and have wanted for some time to find a way to relax and be healthy .And Meditation is what I was looking for. I  Looked at many books and I keep coming back to this one. It explains it in a detailed way but so easy to understand.I only wish I had  Read this sooner. So much unneeded stress could of been dealt with so much better if I had.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. it was very helpful to get me started in meditation. It gave detailed instructions and many different types of meditation practices. I loved the layout of this book it made it easy to read and follow. This is a very useful tool and I am glad I have it.

I like I like that it tells you some benefits of meditation. I like how the book says you can create your own peaceful retreat, you can meditate at home, at work, and on the go.

This is a great beginners guide. Meditation is something I have looked into, but never actually practiced until reading this book. My life could use a calming minute or two each day, so this is perfect for me. I really didn't know anything about meditation before reading this book, and I finished it feeling like I could successful explain it to someone who asks about it as well as successfully incorporate meditation into my life!
