The Fifteenth Eastern Analytical Symposium and the Twelfth National Meeting of the Society for Applied Spec- troscopy were held jointly in New York, November 14-16, 1973. In cooperation with the Detroit Analytical Chemists' Association, the Anachem Award in Analytical Chemistry was presented at this meeting to Dr. Rosalyn S. Ya1ow, the co- inventor (with Dr. S.
