Overview

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Cynthia Eden continues her dark and sexy "Mine" romantic suspense series with...MINE TO HAVE.

Is he a hero...or the villain?

When Elizabeth Ward sees Saxon Black rushing into the backroom of The Blade--a low end bar in Miami--she isn't sure if he's there to save the day...or just to raise some hell. But she's being held hostage, and he's her best hope of survival. Within minutes, she's away from the jerks with the guns and riding fast and hard on the back of Saxon's motorcycle.

Death stalks them.

Saxon has been working undercover for far too long. When he finds sexy Elizabeth--with a gun to her head--he knows he will do anything to keep her safe. But once he gets her away from her abductors, the threat to her isn't over. Someone has put a price on Elizabeth's head, and if Saxon can't keep her safe from the danger stalking her, then she'll be dead.

Their lives are both on the line.

As their enemies close in, Elizabeth and Saxon must go on the run. And the longer they are together, the hotter their attraction for one another seems to burn. Saxon vows not to let anyone hurt her, no matter what he has to do, because he's falling fast for Elizabeth. He'll stop the killers on her trail, and then he'll have her. Forever.

## STUNNING. Absolutely adored this couple. Elizabeth was perfect. Strong, capable, beautiful and loving. And don't even get me started on Saxon. Man, he was hot. So protective and possessive, in the best way. I mentioned he was hot, right? Their chemistry was explosive and I could feel their connection with every encounter. The story was great as was Ms. Eden's unique writing style. She has a way of creating these incredible heroes. So dark yet so worthy. I love that they aren't all rainbows and sunshine. I look forward to Victor and Zoe's story. Please, please don't make us wait too long.

I liked the story line of previous known characters. As a previous prison employee the author's overuse of the word solitaire drove me crazy! It's solitary or solitary confinement. As an FBI agent one of the characters would never be put in general population either. I found a few editing errors which is unusual in a Cynthia Eden book. Overall good book.

I knew when I read Mine to crave that some secondary characters could become heroes and I was right. Indeed, Mine to have tells the story of Saxon Black, who is Jasmine’s brother, the heroine in Mine to crave. Besides, in the end of Mine to have, the reader knows who are the next hero and heroine. You will have to read the book to know more about it. I liked Mine to have a lot. Emotion, humor, action, suspense, there is all that so the story is a very good romantic suspense. There are also some twists and each question is resolved when we close the book. Given that several months have been going between the publication of Mine to crave and Mine to have, the author says a little about the links between the characters who are mentioned in the book. That’s a good point even if maybe those who read the entire series now will find that there are some repetitions. I loved the main characters. They are determined: Elizabeth wants to run away especially at the beginning of the story and Saxon wants to protect her without giving any information. Indeed, Saxon is assigned with a last mission before he definitely quits the FBI and he must save a woman who was abducted. Nobody knows why and a lot of people want to kill our heroine, Elizabeth Ward. The latter lives a quiet life, so when she finds herself threatened from all sides, when people die around her, she’s completely lost. Even if at the very beginning, she seems too stubborn and she wants to run away while danger lurks on her, we understand her. Who would react differently? Aside from this moment of panic, she is like the other Cynthia Eden’s heroines: understanding, nice and not TSTL. There are not a lot of hot scenes, but it’s understandable because the heroes spend a lot of time running away. However, the scenes are intense and well described. And I can’t wait to read the sequel. And I recommend the series.

Mine to Have by Cynthia Eden What is not to love about an undercover FBI agent who is on his last assignment rescuing a woman tied to a chair with a gun pointed at her? This is the opening of Mine to Have.  And it only gets better.   As soon as Saxon breaks into the room where Elizabeth is being held he wants her. And not just to save.   Elizabeth is trying unsuccessfully to convince her kidnappers that this is a case of mistaken identity.   When she see this man break in to the office she thinks he is her hero.  Until he speaks. This story is action backed with romance included. To say I was surprised by the events of this story is an understatement.  Saxon's & Elizabeth's story is the first I have read in the Mine series and let me say I am on my way to read the others soon. **was gifted book by author**

Cynthia Eden does it again! The story was non-stop action from start to finish. The intrigue and suspense are always brilliantly executed and the characters are engaging and mysterious. There was a plethora of secrets and by the end of the book; I didn't know who the good guys were.  This is my first read in the Mine series and I am kicking myself for not reading it sooner! Cynthia Eden is a staple in the romantic suspense genre and I highly recommend any of her books. ***I was gifted an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***

I didnt really understand the point...but then again i never really do w/ this author. Her books are out of focus and strange, like she didnt make a first copy/draft. In my mind it only seems right to give two stars. Sorry for ruining your day but thats what this page is for, right?

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 3 3/4 REVIEW:   In Mine to Have we follow Saxon Black and undercover operative that works for the FBI.  He is not suppose to be working this case.  He should be done with this life.  Yet when Victor asks him for his help Saxon can’t say no to his brother.  Just one last case.  One last case and then he will be free.  Free to be who ever he wants.  Only problem: Elizabeth Ward.  Elizabeth is having a very bad day.  First she is kidnapped by some psycho wielding a gun, now she is being threatened with death and oh there is a new player who wants an hour with her before said psycho kills her.  Not a good day at all.  Except that Saxon Black claims he is there to save her.  Mine to Have is the 5th book in Ms. Eden’s Mine series.  This was a good quick read.   I enjoyed Saxon and Elizabeth’s story.  The twists and turns that Ms. Eden through in were really good.   I do hope that we get to visit Saxon & Elizabeth in future books I would like to see how they are doing.   I am looking forward to the next installment in this series.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from NetGalley & Cynthia Eden in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

I received an ARC of this book from the Publisher, via Netgalley, in exchange for an honest review. This is book 5 in Eden's Mine Series. While I suppose most of these could be read as stand-alones, really, this is sort of a saga of the most villain-beleaguered group of friends and family I think I have ever read. These are insta-hots and insta-obsession type books and are rather predictable, but they are so filled with drama that they are really kind of fun to read too. So here is a general breakdown of how they connect (minus any spoilers). Trace (hero of book 1 & 2) is friends with Noah (hero of book 3) and Drake Archer (hero of book 4). Archer falls in love with Jasmine, who brings to the group her brothers Saxon (hero of book 5) and Victor (hero of book 6?). Mine to Have is no exception to the rule of danger, bullets, blood, and betrayal. Saxon has been undercover for so long he doesn't know precisely who he is anymore, but he has a definitive plan for who he wants to be and an exit plan that he is on the cusp of obtaining. Elizabeth is the ubiquitous woman in danger, but she is pretty feisty so I liked her quite a bit. Book 4 seemed to be the conclusion of the original set of villains and book 5 seems to set up this next arc of villains, and while I enjoyed the book, Victor kind of stole the show to me (as he did in the previous book as well). And while this does seem to set up the next book, he wasn't just sequel bait. I think the biggest difference in this book, from the rest of the series, is how isolated the main couple felt from the rest of the group. I can't tell if that was just the on the run aspect, or the fact that we have branched away from the original group, but it should be interesting to see how the rest of the series shakes out. Overall, Cynthia Eden is an auto-buy for me because of the non-stop action and over the top instant devotion. I am not here for intricate world building or deep characterization; these are kind of the romance novel equivalent of Bruce Willis action films. 3.5 stars

Saxon is a good guy who sometimes has to do bad things, on his last mission for the FBI he rescues Elizabeth and knows he doesn’t want to let her go. Fast paced and lots of action I was hooked from beginning to end. The chemistry between Saxon and Elizabeth is sexy and the suspense had me on the edge of my seat. Loved it!

MINE TO HAVE is #5 in the Mine series and featured by Saxon, a FBI agent that works undercover in hard missions, turning him in a dark man, a feature shared by the male heroes in the series. Working in his last mission, Saxon meets and saves Elizabeth Ward, a woman with an hit on her head and clueless as to the reasons. The strong attraction to her has Saxon doing everything to save her and leads them both in discovering who ordered the hit on her life and the reasons, proving that they are surrounded by enemies and can't trust no one. Reading this novel was such a thrill! It's a sexy and hot romance, full of action, there's also a feeling of what means to be a family. With short sentences, the author tells all the story (and the reader) needs with no frivolities, a feature that I enjoy immensely.

4.5 stars--MINE TO HAVE is the fifth instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult Mine romantic suspense series. This is FBI agent Saxon Black and Elizabeth Ward’s story. Although this is the fifth storyline in the MINE series, it can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any pertinent information from the previous stories is supplied where necessary. Some of the secondary characters from the earlier instalments have minor roles throughout. Tired of the undercover work, the attempts on his life and the constant change in identity, Saxon Black agrees to one more job for the FBI before walking away and entering civilian life.  Finding a beautiful woman with a gun to her head wasn’t what he expected when he went in for the take down at his latest stake out. Rescuing Elizabeth isn’t easy but keeping her safe is more difficult than he could ever have imagined. Someone wants Elizabeth Ward dead and is determined to kill anyone who gets in his or her way.  What neither of them know is who put out the hit and why. The relationship between Saxon and Elizabeth is one of immediate attraction. Saxon begins to lose his heart to the woman entrusted to his care and plans to make her his own-if only they both survive the next few days and weeks. Dead bodies begin to pile up and everyone has a connection to a man sitting in jail.  The sex scenes are intimate, seductive and hot. The storyline builds as our couple endure attempts on their lives, danger from an unknown source and a betrayal from within. When every hideout and secure location is discovered, Saxon and his brother Victor begin to suspect an internal leak from the FBI. Victor is Saxon’s bond brother. Friends from early childhood, Victor and Saxon have always had one another’s back and in this Victor’s story begins to unfold and will be addressed in the next MINE storyline. We get another glimpse into Victor and Saxon’s sister’s life-Jasmine from MINE TO CRAVE- as she and her new husband play a role in Saxon’s new life. Cynthia Eden is a brilliant romance writer whose characters and storylines come to life on the pages of the books we love to read. Her characters are real, intense and heartbreaking; the emotions are intense and provocative. MINE TO HAVE and the MINE series by Cynthia Eden is a must read for fans of romantic suspense.

3.5 - "My balls are blue, so I'm not in the mood for your s**t right now." Stars! Another stellar installment in the Mine series, I have to admit that I was a little nervous about Cynthia’s continuation of this series, after the original boys had all gotten their books (and their women!). ”I’ve been undercover for so long, I’m not even sure I can remember who the hell I really am.” Saxon Black has been working undercover for the FBI (as well as independently) for longer than he cares to remember. He has seen, carried out and watched numerous acts of violence as well as murder, and been involved with the lowest of the low for so long that he isn’t 100% sure that he isn’t just as bad as the people he hunts. Elizabeth Ward is supposed to be his last job; a favour for his brother Victor and the FBI. He is getting out, getting away from the death and violence, and starting afresh. New man. New name. New career. New life. ”F*****g missed you…” … “Missed… f*****g… you…” Elizabeth and Saxon together are hot, the adventure and suspense as you would expect with a Cynthia Eden book is fast paced, and well thought out. And although this is the first book in the series where I actually worked out what was going on and who was the Villain(s) prior to it actually being revealed, I still really enjoyed it. ”With me, I promise you’ll always be safe.” The last 30% of the book gives the indication that Victor is likely to get a book of his own, and I am glad, I hope he gets his HEA as has his brother and sister before him. But if I am being honest, I think that is probably where I would like to see the Mine series come to a close. ”I’m a bleeder.” I love Cynthia’s writing (if you don’t believe me feel free to check out all of my other reviews of her books), but sometimes you just know when something is dangerously close to moving from enjoyable and into the average. ARC generously provided via Netgalley, in exchange for the above honest review.

In Mine to Have (Mine #5) by Cynthia Eden, Saxon is done with the FBI and undercover work. Finishing up his last job before he starts his life fresh, away from the darkness, he saves Elizabeth from a sure death at the hands of a hired killer. Huge and scary, Saxon terrifies her. He is also the only person standing between her and a murderer - which makes the attraction she feels for him a little bit scary. Elizabeth has no idea who would want her dead or why, and soon she finds herself on the run with Saxon. Because someone won't stop until she's no longer alive. Danger follows them, and Saxon can trust only one other person - his brother Victor. Suddenly it's not only Elizabeth who is in danger...it's all of them. Elizabeth and Saxon are brought very close together very quickly, and the chemistry between them sizzles. She is the light in his dark world...but will they survive to have a future together, away from the darkness and danger? Mine to Have is a fast paced, edge of your seat thrilling romantic suspense filled with all the actions that make up a great romantic suspense. I love the characters. Cynthia's writing and descriptions bring them to life. Cynthia made me really feel for them too, especially Saxon who is so ready to move out of the darkness. She really pulled me into his world, and my heart went out to him. Elizabeth is smart and brave, and I loved her mature character...even when she didn't always listen to Saxon. She has a mind and will of her own, and she was very believable! I like how Cynthia brings them together, the chemistry and how they just seem to be meant to be together. The mysterious suspense is full of the unexpected and Cynthia managed to surprise me numerous times. It is great when an author can do this, fill the pages with unpredictability, surprising and pulling you in deeper. With heart pounding action, it was easy to become immersed in Saxon and Elizabeth's story.. The secondary characters all add a little to the story. Some we see from other Mine books, but Mine to Have can be read as a stand alone with no difficulties. Victor is a prominent secondary character and I do hope to get his story! Mine to Have has great flow, is clearly written and a great book to escape into if you are looking for a lot of heat and excitement! I'd recommend Mine to Have to any romantic suspense reader!

ARC courtesy of publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review 4 Sexi-undercover-badass Stars Mine to Have by Cynthia Eden was a very enjoyable read, filled with action and suspense, and very, very hot sexy scenes. This was my first time reading this author and I can guarantee that it won’t be the last. In fact I’m going to get all the other books to this series right now. Fast paced and very well written, it kept my attention engaged the whole time. I know many readers out there are not fans of insta-love (though I wouldn’t say this was the case exactly) but I do love when the H knows what he wants after just one look. Saxon is the ultimate bad boy, you know, he’s all bad ass, strong, and rough, but as an undercover FBI agent, is on the right side of the law….mostly. When he meets the damsel in distress, Elizabeth, all his protective and possessive instincts come out to play, and she can’t help but succumb to his sweet but rough charm. Elizabeth finds herself in the middle of a mess she doesn’t have a thing to do with, or so she thinks. What appeared to be a simple rescue mission, turned into a complicated web of intrigue where you didn’t know who to trust. Elizabeth will have to choose between being safe and keeping the man she came to love alive. With a multiple pov you know what is going on with various characters and it gives you a more global feel to what is happening. Luckily it still focuses mainly on our H and h so as not to become distracting or confusing. Although the ending is very sweet, I still would have loved the epilogue to let me see them settled as a couple and enjoying their life together, I’m hoping the next installment will let me see a little of their new life (and if they could throw in a baby or too it would be awesome) in between the new couple’s story. This was a fast, easy read, and very entertaining. I highly recommend it for an afternoon delight ;) I’m going to be waiting to the next book in this series, and while I do that, I’m going to catch up with the first ones I’ve missed.
