About the Author

Ashley Suzanne is a married mother of three little boys as well as a daughter, aunt, sister, best friend, birth mother, blogger, book whore and author. Ashley is a native to the suburbs of Detroit, with most of her family living in Kentucky and New York.
You can usually find Ashley sitting in bed, with her laptop, playing on Facebook, pretending to write, entering giveaways (she's also a swag whore) or on a football field with her oldest son, Tyler. Yep, not only is she a football fan, she's a football mom!
When she's reading, it's typically something to do with romance, erotica being her favorite genre. Ashley co-owns a blog, 2 Chicks and a Blog, with her GBFF Manda. She's a total fan-girl over a few authors, Pamela Ann, Brooke Cumberland, SE Hall, Madeline Sheehan, Jasinda Wilder, Angela Graham, CM Stunich and Riley Rhea to name a few.
Ashley has no pets, unless you count her children and she is a little OCD. Her favorite color is pink. Her favorite drink is cherry vodka and coke and double chocolate brownies are a must.
She's currently working on her 2nd novel, Awakening, which will follow Mirage (An Amazon Best Seller) and a few other projects.

This book pulled me in right away. I have read a lot of book with a twist at the end but this one took the cake. If you were so so on the book this twist would make you have to read the rest of the books in the series. Mira, Danny, Kylee, and Skylar all became friends when they meet during freshman orientation. Danny and Skylar were already friends just as Mira and Kylee were; both sets of friends had been friends since childhood. Right at the beginning of the book you learn that Danny and Mira are engaged and have been dating all through college. They are in a motorcycle accident on the way to a graduation party and Danny dies, Mira comes away with just some road rash and a broken leg. Mira has a great deal of trouble getting over Danny’s death. Kylee and Skylar want to help her come back from the dark place she is in. Skylar helps a great deal. But, then he and Mira have a falling out. A year passes before Skylar and Mira see each other again. Skylar has loved Mira since he first saw her; right before Danny saw her. Now that Danny is dead and some time has passed Skylar wants another chance with Mira. Will they be able to forgive each other for the things that they said or will it all be too late for them. Then comes the giant out of left field twist that changes everything. I loved the book before the twist but after I came to the conclusion I had to read all the other books in this series. I got completely sucked down the rabbit hole. All the characters in this book are so great. They have depth and feel so real. Ashley writes a fantastic story. You feel as though you are right there with them going through everything with them. I connected with the character and the story so much. I can’t wait to read the next book. I was given this book in return for an honest review.

Mirage by Ashley Suzanne is mostly a good book.  The characters are terrific and the initial story line is huge and encompassing.  I was pulled right in and did not put it down.  Unfortunately, I did not have the same reaction as others to the last chapter.  I actually felt undervalued by the author, as if I were not savy enough to pick up on the inconsistencies that it presented.  The final chapter made every thought and action by Skylar irrelevant, and his POV became nothing short of a cruel joke.  So basically, the emotional attachments that I had formed were tossed to the wind, for shock factor, I'm sure.  Ultimately, the majority of the book is compelling, the characters are terrific, and the story line is addicting.  Add in the final chapter, and I'm out.

I'm usually long winded in my reviews but for Mirage I can't really go to far because the story just blew me away. I haven't been that shocked at an ending in a long time. I love the characters. They are like old friends now and I can't wait to finish the rest of the series. I know this is a short review but trust me when I say hit buy...spend that $2.99 and be sucked in and blown away! FABULOUS story!!

I honestly really liked this book and could not put it down.  There's love, friendship, heartache, anger, etc.    It was nice to read the book and see how their was an actual friendship and history between the characters rather than everything happening 1,2,3.  The ending was not what I expected at all and left me feeling annoyed at Mira and Skylar; some issue to me do not get resolved between the two even though they move on from them.  I am not sure how to feel about the ending but its a cliffhanger and leaves you wanting more and that is always good in my book.

I absolutely loved this book! Skylar and Mira's friendship was a breath of fresh air to experience. Most books go right into the "love" stage, but it was great to read the easy banter between them. The ending through me for a loop, but I cannot wait to read the next book of the series. This is the first book I have read from Ashley Suzanne and I am very quickly becoming a huge fan!

Cliffhangers grrrrr I hate them and yet in this case I love to hate it!! Some people comment in their reviews about the back and forth, past to present and back again writing, well had you finished the book you would have understood the reason behind it! I adore this book, I would LOVE to tie Skylar to my bed and never let him leave. The story line does take some adjusting too but the beginning was more than enough to catch my interest and make me want to read every word. I don't do spoilers, in my opinion this book is a must read, the first few pages hooked me and it didn't let go until the end, which drove me slightly nuts!! I wasn't thrilled with the outcome BUT it is a cliffhanger so you know it could go either way.  Love, love, love this story.

Mira and her best friend Kylee are off to college. At college orientation Mira and Kylee meet Danny and Skylar. There is an instant attraction between Mira and Danny. They start dating and soon become inseparable.  Four years later, as they are all about to graduate college, Mira and Danny are now engaged and are ready to celebrate graduation and their engagement.  When tragedy strikes, with the help of her friends, Mira slowly gets over her loss and starts rebuilding her life. Months later Mira and Skylar make some stupid choices and end up hurting each other so badly that Mira walks out of his life.  "...Mira, just because I can't kiss you right now because of my own pride, doesn't mean that I don't want to lay with you and hold you. I need to feel your body next to mine and feel your heartbeat. I need to know that this is real..." A year later, while Mira and Kylee are enjoying a night out together,  they run into Skylar at a bar. Mira and Skylar realize they are both still very hurt and angry at each other. Can Skylar and Mira rebuild their friendship?  Can they discover that they are better together or will they continue to hurt each other?  And what will happen when everything you believed in is ripped out from under you?  "...When he died, it felt like a piece of me died along with him, but I didn't die. You helped bring me back to life. You loved me enough for both of us when I thought my world ended..." Ashley Suzanne will take you on an emotional roller coaster like no other. I'm only struggling with coming up with the right words for this review.  Saying I fell in love with this story is so completely understated.  This story drew me in the moment I started reading it. It completely captivated me and made me feel a huge variety of  emotions and left me wanting to get my hands instantly on the next book. This book seriously sits in my heart and made me an instant Ashley stalker. I can't wait to sink into the rest of the series but for now I give Mirage a Nerd Alert A++ or 5 stars!

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review. I gave this book 5 OMG! What just happened Stars!! This is the first book that I have read from this Author Ashley.  All I can say is I am now a fan for life!  YOU NEED to read this book. It is full of surprises and OMG moments!  I gobbled this book down in a few hours!! and went on to finish the series IN ONE DAY!!!! I was up until 5 am reading!!  This story is about 4 people it is about Mira, Kylee, Danny and Skylar. They are best friends that met at the beginning of college and have been inseparable ever since. Danny and Mira are a couple and have been for four years.  On graduation night tragedy strikes and leaves three of them too pick up the pieces and put their life back together the best way they know how.  Skylar has been in love with Mira since the moment he laid eyes on her and he can't stand back and wait anymore, and just as Mira's life is finally getting back to the way it needs to be, it spirals right out of control again. AND will they ever be the same?? ALL I can say about this book is WOW! I didn't expect what I got. I loved the book from the moment I started reading it. And was sucked up into Mira's life and the things going on around her. Her best friend Kylee was amazing, and Skylar well who knew there could be such a selfless person in existence. He is so amazing. So many things happen in this book that you just can't speak of!  This is definitely in my top books for 2014 !! I know it is January but I can so for certain that this book is not going to go anywhere as the year moves on .. it will stay in the top!!! Thank you Ashley for this book! It was heartfelt and beautiful. Can't wait to read what happens next!!

OMG THIS BOOK!!! It's been a while since a book has rocked me to the core. Whether that's good or bad isn't the question. The question is why?  From the start of this book I was hooked. Never wanting to put it down, holding it close, and feeling so touched by the story, was amazing. There's only one other book in 2013 that made me feel like that.  Now about the characters. Mira is such a sweet, loving woman and she loves deeply and truly. Danny and Mira are the epitome of true love. They are such a beautiful couple and so adorably loving together. Danny was her first love and the tragedy between these two brings tears to my eyes even now as I write this review.  Skylar is Danny's best friend and in turn Mira's close friend. Skylar and Danny have known each other since they were kids and have been by each other's side since, all the way into adulthood. Kylee is Mira's best friend and these four were always together. Just like most relationships, time passes, things change, and nothing is ever the same again.  I am in absolute love with this book and I'm itching to read the next one. Not suitable for anyone under 18. Bravo Ashley you have definitely hit greatness. 5 stars have been granted ;)

***** 3.5 Stars!! ***** *I received a free eCopy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review* This was a hard review for me to write. It's taken me several days to be able to sit and put my thoughts into coherent sentences but as fans and readers we owe an author our honest opinions on their work, right? Otherwise, how are they to grow and improve? So without further ado, here are my honest thoughts on this book... Mirage was just ok. It wasn't a bad book but it wasn't a great book either. The storyline had a ton of potential but it could have used a lot more editing, in my opinion. Besides, the grammatical issues, the story was fairly decent. Danny and Mira met on the first day of college, at freshman orientation, and had one of those instant connections that most people only dream about. From then on, they had eyes for only each other. Their love grows throughout their 4 years at U of M and before graduation arrives, Danny proposes and Mira says YES! On graduation night the fearsome foursome (Danny, Mira, Skylar, and Kylee) head out to an alumni party and on the way, there is a terrible accident. An SUV swerves into Danny and Mira's lane and they crash. Mira makes it. Danny doesn't. He will be pronounced dead at the scene. Mira (Danny's fiance) and Skylar (Danny's best friend) spend the next year grieving and trying to move past the loss of someone who was such a huge part of their lives. As I said, the storyline was fairly decent. It had a great concept. The characters, however, were not very easy to connect to. They were kind of all over the place. Mira had 0 willpower. One second she would be telling herself not to do something and in the very next sentence she would be doing it anyway without a second thought. Skylar, though madly in love with Mira, was incredibly mean and cold to her for the majority of the story. The only one who stayed relateable throughout the story is Danny and that's because he dies in the beginning. I know what you're thinking. "You gave this story 3.5 stars. It can't be that bad." Am I right? I wanted to give up on this book several times but what can I say? I am no quitter. Thank Gawd! This book has got to have, by a long shot, the best ending I have ever read. Ever. And that's saying a lot. I'm not saying I agree with the way the characters handled themselves but c'mon, you've got to hand it to this author. That ending was pure literary genius! I don't do spoilers and I would never disrespect this awesome ending by giving it away before you have the chance to experience it for yourself so I won't give you any hints as to what went down but I will say that it was absolutely worth sticking it out in my opinion. And any author who can blow my mind so thoroughly has definitely earned a second chance in my book. "INCEPTION" here I come!

First off I want to thank Ashley for providing me with an ARC of this book to review :) Secondly...... WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!? Seriously......... I DID NOT see that coming......What are they going to do now? I need my hands on Inception ASAP! Anyway, this book is about  a group of friends who have recently graduated from college, when tragedy strikes at the heart. Mira was engaged to Danny and were so in love, they were planning their futures and wedding together before the tragedy. Stuck in a rut, Mira, doesn't know what to do with herself, she needs to pick herself up and move on.....but could you? After loosing the love of your life, can you get up and walk around like nothing has happened? Skylar was Danny's best-friend and has been a rock figure for Mira throughout the grieving process, he too has lost someone he loves, his best-friend and brother.... Can he too, move on with his life? THEN.......chuffin' 86% waltz's in and takes the show, thinking he's all that and decides to chuck a HUGE spanner in the works! Jeeze Louise.......I think my heart just stopped. This is a love story with ups and downs and a twists and turns! It's full of laughter, sad times and then a little mad (in the end). Well done Ashley on this being your Debut Novel <3
