Senior Detective Cat Day has one hard and fast rule about dating: no cops. They live hard and die young—a truth she's faced every day since her fiancé's tragic death several years ago. But when rookie Jace Sutton shows up to work the same burglary investigation, she feels desire she hasn't felt in years.

Jace knows what he wants the minute Detective Day strolls onto his crime scene in heels and a pencil skirt tailored by God himself. He wants to thaw the legendary Ice Queen, and it only takes one hot, dirty night for Jace to realize he wants more. Much, much more.

But more is the last thing Cat wants from any cop—especially a playboy rookie like Jace. As the burglary investigation heats up and he repeatedly puts himself in danger, Cat must ask herself if Jace will be as reckless with her heart as he is with his life.

Misadventures in Blue does not disappoint at all. Sierra brings us two characters that have the chemistry that flies off the pages. If you are looking for a shorter read of Sierra Simone's, this is one for you. Love it.

Misadventures in Blue can lock me up and throw away the key! I love a good story that has depth to the characters, while plenty of steam to get my heart racing. With plenty of sexy times and an underlying mystery of who's behind the burglaries, you'll find yourself hooked until the end. Such a great addition to the Misadventure Series, and definitely one that can be read as a stand alone.

There is one certainty when you pick up a Sierra Simone Book you have no idea what you are getting into. You know it is going to be an amazing, page turning read, but you have no idea how she is going to transform the story or what sort of journey you are going o get. The Misadventures books are on the “lighter” side for of reading for Sierra but no less of a page turning read. After dealing with the tragic loss of a loved one Cat has become emotionally detached from those around. Without out building an attachment to those around her she is wont have to deal with their loss if something happens right? When Jace and Cat meet there is something that draws them to each other. A quick one night stand with no strings should be fine. No chance of heart ache there. Until Jace is assigned to assist Cat solve a case. working so closely together makes it had to resist each other. But can Cat open herself up to the possibility of love in her life again.

Sierra Simone is one of my favorite authors, and though I have bought all of her books this is the first Misadventures book I have read by her (or anyone). I’m understanding now that those series are meant to be quick reads, so this doesn’t have the depth and complexity of her other books (which are all 5 ⭐️ to me) but it does have her excellent writing and signature steamy sex scenes. Jace and Cat have an instant chemistry that is super hot, but we never really see them do anything together besides have sex, and I missed that while their emotional connection grew. Older woman/younger man hasn’t typically been something I gravitate toward but Cat’s fears over the possible complications of that as well as over parallels to something from her past provided a good conflict for the story. Jace also never felt younger as he was an old soul and had a sort of alpha personality. As usual the writing and editing are top quality so if you are in the mood for a relatively quick, entertaining read this is for you and if you want the full experience of Ms. Simone’s mastery, look to one of her other series first. 3.5 ⭐️

5 billion HOT. HOT. HOTcop stars!!! Oh, my freaking Holy Moly. This book is so HAWT!! I should have scorch marks on my sweaty palms. Jace and Cat, wow, what a combination. This is an older woman/ younger man romance that will melt every item of your clothing off your overheated body. Ms. Simone has a reputation for dirty, steamy reads and she has surpassed herself with this one. It should come with a warning. TOO HOT TO HANDLE, NEVERMIND READ. Grab your copy, if you dare!!!! This is heading for the top of my HOT Reads of 2019. Can’t say fairer than that.

When ever I dive into a Sierra Simone book. I always feel like I have been starved for months and finally get to Eat my full. Its like I just cant get enough. I want more, more, more... It is not just erotic. Its not just drama. Not just character evolvement. It Goes deeper then that. She makes it real. It feels like I Know them. They are part of my life. Its not often you finde age gap books where the woman is the older party. But I love it when they are written. And it is Even better when it is the woman who is the broken one. And Cat is broken. The ice queen. She never shows any emotions. Its just work work work and show of a stone face. Never letting anybody get close. Untill Jace. He is like kryptonite. He is strong, secure, confident. And knows what he wants and what he feels. And then he oozes sex. He is so maskulin and potent that She just cant stay away. But who could. To be inside sierras head when She comes up with so well written. That must be fantastic

I loved how fast this book started off. You knew who the book was about and it had already started getting steamy by chapter 3. I enjoyed how relatable the characters were in the sense that they weren't some millionaires and they were actually risking a lot by being together. The risk (of being together and their job) and emotional debate kept the suspense going, keeping me from being able to put the book down. I laughed, I cried, and I was completely enthralled by this book!

3.5 Stars Misadventures in Blue is the latest installment in the Misadventures Series and a sexy treat from Sierra Simone. An age-gap, workplace romance Jace & Cat's story is a quick & easy read with an off the charts steam level. Cat is significantly older, with a closed-off heart and Jace is a rookie cop who just moved back home after ending his time in the army. She sees their age difference as a hard limit, he sees it as a turn on. But neither can deny their chemistry. While I know these books are shorter reads, I felt like their relationship was a little too fast-paced. We are treated to lots of sexy times, however, we don't really get much else between the two. With the short timeline, it was tough to really believe there was more than just fun between them. While I did enjoy it, I think it would have been better in a full-length book, with more time to develop their relationship and storyline.

This was my first book from Sierra Simone and I was super excited once I got my hands on it. Hot cop, forbidden romance, age gap with an older female? Yes please! Once I read the book, in the end, it was not for me but there is no denying what a great writer Simone is. First off, she knows how to get you all hot and bothered. If you are looking for something hot, intense and erotic, Sierra is your girl. The sex was off the charts and the author has a way of bringing out the characters’ emotions, thoughts, fears and passions to help you understand them. That is something I appreciate. Cat is a detective nicknamed the Ice Queen by her peers. Cat, unfortunately, lost her fiance in the line of duty and has sworn off dating cops but she instantly lusts for Jace, the younger new rookie cop, the moment they set eyes on each other. That same night leads to a one night stand that both can’t forget. Cat hasn’t felt this alive and wanted for years but her fears and insecurities of their age difference, the dangers of their job, and Jace's recklessness as he craves excitement on the job leaves her wondering if they can have a happy future together. Jace may be young but he is mature for his age and is smitten with Cat right off the bat. Age is not a factor to him and he will do anything to make Cat realize just how much he loves her, despite her fears. With all that said, I just couldn’t connect with the characters as their relationship started off abruptly and I felt the chemistry and their connection was all based on what was going in the bedroom. I would have loved for their relationship to have been explored outside of the bedroom more and watch it grow. However, I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a steamy, cop romance. I received an arc of this title in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

Oh Jace! Young man! You brought out the cougar in me! Truth be told it didn’t take much, a bend over a table, a kick of the legs apart and I was starry eyed. This book is a bit of a change in style for Sierra. Not as heavy as the Camelot or Thornchapel books. More like the books she co wrote with Laurelin Paige. Obviously hot and sexy, because Sierra does that so well, but less frenetic. Like you know where the plot will take you and it won’t cause your whole world to implode! Maybe just a minor explosion. Cat Day is a strong, successful, powerful woman. She’s great at her job, she is the Ice Queen and with good reason. Ice Queen cop plus young alpha stallion cop equals lots of testosterone and torn knickers. I have a confession. I saw one of those police department lip sync things and one of the policemen was super hot so I went through all their Facebook photos to find pictures of said cop and I saved them to my iPad. Officer Highley, I do apologise but it was you I imagined as Jace Sutton. I’m guilty as charged. Please feel free to head over here with the cuffs and take down my particulars. Or knickers. Whichever.

Sound the alarm because this book is HOT! Sierre Simone never disappoints in making a story as hot as humanly possible. Young rookie cop Jace Stutton responds to a call for a burglary of a local doctor's office. Offices have been getting burglarized regularly and he remembers an email from a detective working similar cases. Detective Catherine "Cat" Day had been tracking these crimes for months. She is set in her ways and have a high track record for solving crimes. Insert Jace and Cat is forced to deal with her past, her age and Jace's sexy as sin boyish charms and body. Can they both work together to solve this crime or will the heat of attraction derail the investigation and a possible relationship?

Anything by Sierra Simone is good and Misadventures in Blue is no exception. This age gap story is funny and sexy. Cat is the ice queen detective and Jace is the hot uniformed cop. Their misadventures takes place anywhere and any time. A short, fun and dirty read! Review copy was received for a honest opinion.
