Jayne Evans wrote a great suspense novel. Initially I thought this would be a werewolf tale because of other stories I read by the author. It was a great story where Mia saves herself and Hudson is great support. I loved her self contained., smart, and experienced way she went about life. I was on pins and needles until I finished the story.

I enjoyed the characters as well as the plot. Some parts could have been developed further, but for the most part it was a great read.

I picked up this book for its price, not being familiar with the author. However, I couldn't put the book down. The story catches your attention and you don't see where it's going. I definitely have a new author to add to my list of favorites!

3.5 Stars My first read by this author and it was really engaging. Colorful, interesting and annoying characters, namely Gio, he was both aggravating and just plain stupid. Hudson and Mia complemented each other quite nicely, they made a good pair. Of course my favorite character was Neville! That has got to be the smartest dog on the face of the planet!!! Overall it was a pretty interesting read with a well developed storyline though there were a few grammatical errors. Mainly with run on sentences which is really confusing and distracts from the book. Some parts felt a bit rushed but other than that, it was a very likable story. SR
