Mountains

Folded mountains are formed when parts of the Earth’s crust smash together. Fault-block mountains are formed when the Earth’s crust stretches out. These are just two of the types of mountains that are explored in this colorful and exciting book. More specifically, the book looks at the different types of mountains found in the Rocky Mountains—the most famous mountain range in North America—and the abundant animal and plant life that can be found there today.
