This was not one of the funniest Monk books out there, but it is Monk so anyone that knows the character, has been a fan of the show throughout all the seasons knows that Monk is hilarious. In some parts it dragged and some of his 'issues' were overdone, but the airplane ride and lead up to it was so funny - think one armed therapist and one legged neighbor! I was a little bummed to have the storyline of him thinking the worse in his faithful and loyal longtime therapist Dr. Kroger though - glad it didn't last long. This book is worth the read because simply -- it is Monk!!

The show may be ending, but at least we'll have the books! Although I don't think ALL of the Monk books were equally fantastic.....this one was laugh out loud wonderful. How Goldberg gets in Natalie's head and understands her so well is amazing. And the next one, Monk is Miserable, is just as great. Make sure you read them both in private, unless you don't mind strangers staring at you. :)

I think that the Monk tv show leaves out stuff and exaderates certain things.

I've read Mr. Monk series 1-6 an di loved them all. While this one wasn't the best thus far it is still a good and entertaining read. Monk in the woods is a classic scene.

I loved the Monk series when it was on TV and still watch the reruns quite often. I have read most of the Monk books and found them to be very much like the series! Enjoy!!!
