This Diary is a wonderful wording of manuscript used in World War I and what they really endured over a few years as soldiers. It explains how my grandfather join the military and how easy it was to join them. Such as being too short, too much weight, or not enough teeth, etc. He goes into detail about the weather they endured over his time in the service. It also tells some history of his brother John who is in the war with him, but with a different troop. His trips to several county side towns and visiting King Edward VII when he was a youth in England. Also near the end of war, he tells of going back to work in Farnworth, where he had worked before joining the service.
