Great start for a new series.

This book was amazing, it's fast paced, fun and hot. I couldn't put it down once I started. I really loved the characters, and all the dynamics. It has made me want to keep reading. I loved Nickel, his bossy, demanding and alpha male. He has a big heart, and is loyal to his brotherhood. He is caring towards his grandmother. And he has patience of a saint. I loved Karmen, she is funny and sassy. She is shy, and naive. But she takes everything easily what is happening around her. She is always in her head, and thinks a lot. She has problems trusting others. I really loved this series, and can't wait for more.

Karmen grew up with no one she could trust but herself. She's even more independent now. She finished nursing school, has a job, and her own place. What she doesn't need is a hot guy who draws the attention of every female in sight and a bad boy MC member to boot. Nickle has never wanted a woman like Karmen—both in personality and just plain desire. What he wants he gets. She's just gonna have to deal. While she's adorably shy, she also has this obstinate side she uses to test him? Chase him away? Not gonna happen. If she's honest, she likes this dominant side. Trust is the issue. Then her history, her father's history, rears up and puts her in imminent danger. Nickle's not taking chances with her. She's coming with him like it or not. Can she learn to trust? Can he step back to reassure her? Can they even save her? There is plenty of steam in this one with characters you will root for. While there are things going on in the club Nickle doesn't like, he can count on his brothers to help keep his woman safe. How is it all going to play out? Reviewed for Words Turn Me On

A breath of fresh air to read

Nickel Winter has definitely started this new series off with a win. Nickel is everything that I was hoping for and more. Karma has had an upbringing that has left her realizing that the only way to not get hurt is to not let anyone in. Fortunately for her Nickel is like a dog with a bone one opening is all he is looking for from the pretty nurse who looks after his Grandmother in her nursing home. These two are truly made for each other from her insecurities about opening up her heart to him being secure that he can do if she lets him. The chemistry between the pair was smoking hot, the humorous and witty banter with her best friend is what every woman wants in her girlfriend. The ending though is what leaves you intrigued and begging for more. I'm not so patiently waiting for more from this phenomenal woman.

I thought her first series was ok but this new book was not good. To be a MC book the guys seemed weak and the storyline was not well developed. Skimmed through just to finish. I won't be continuing the series.

Winter Travers knows how to give you alpha MC man along with a strong independent female. This new MC series is starting off with a bang. Not only is Nickel book one in a new series, I love how Winter was able to give her characters names that aren't seen in MC books. In Nickel, we have Nickel who is the Sergeant in Arms for the Fallen Lords and Karmen a nurse at the Nursing home Nickel's grandmother is in. She's shy and quiet but has worked her butt off to get where she is in life. Having had to grow up way too young she doesn't give out trust easily, let alone the self-doubt and living in her head. But Nickel, that man will make you swoon for days. He will do whatever it takes to get what he wants and he's known for the last year he wants Karmen. He sets out to prove to her what he sees in her instead of what she thinks of herself. Can Karmen let go long enough for Nickel to prove its worth the risk to be with him? Winter not only gives us strong characters to fall in love with, she will also have you laughing your behind off at the banter between all the characters. Can't wait to see where Winter takes the rest of these characters.
