About the Author

Hello! My name is Kathi Barton and I’m an author. I have been married to my very best friend Sonny for at times seems several lifetimes – in a good way, honey. And together we have three wonderful children and then the ones we brought into the world - Paul and Dale Barton, Jason and Wendy Barton and Danielle and Ben Conklin. They have given us seven of the greatest treasures on Earth. They don’t live at home seven days a week! No, seriously, seven grandchildren – Gavin, Spring, Ben, Trinity, Sarah, Kelly and Kian.

I love this series. I've read it a few times. And would recommend it to friends and family.

I think out of all the books, this one honestly had me hating Mel (the queen of all magic) and Aaron. Zane was born in a lab like Bailey (Enduring Retribution), but she's so much more than Bailey and older than anybody could imagine. All Zane wants is to die and be left alone. But she is under contract as a bounty hunter for Mel for thousands of years because she killed so many human lives. Mel has known for years now that she wrongly accused Zane, but instead of trying to make amends she just constantly uses and uses. This was one of my biggest pet peeves about this story. Zane was basically a slave for the Queen and then later basically becomes a slave for Aaron. (When you take away a person's freewill, that makes them a slave). Aiden is a full-blooded vampire (he was born one, not made) and can't wait to find the same happiness his brother has in his mate and new child. But when he meets Zane at Blood Moon, she's more than he ever bargained for. She's not a woman who is going to be happy just sitting at home, she doesn't need his protections (if anything she can protect them both better than he can) and she wants absolutely nothing to do with a mate.

Once again Ms. Barton has created a story that will raise many emotions in the reader. Sadly, the Queen of Magic is once again shown to have knowledge of bad things and handled them in the wrong way. While I understand she has responsibilities to protect she also has the responsibilities of finding the truth before she wields her power. Zane is something that really can not be explained, she has a good heart despite the trials she has undergone. She reveals some stunning information that is going to rock the Kiss's foundations leading me to think we have more to see in the future. I really liked that we got to see Danny again and were able to look into the life he leads. The relationship that he has with Zane makes her present more like a normal person than what she truly its. Aiden is a strong Vampire who wants a mate, when presented with Zane he is so out of his depth that it is quite amusing. The ending is not what was expected, while I know why Aaron does what he does, it still feels wrong and I hope he can make amends in the next story. I volunteered to review this story for my honest opinion

Book 10 of Aaron's Kiss Series ----- Aiden St James is brother to Tristan -- he wants a mate so decides to move closer to his brother to see if he can find her. Allison Zane is a bounty hunter for the Queen and works as a mechanic. Zane saves Aaron and now he owes her -- she also runs into Aiden at the Blue Moon. She is getting closer to Aiden but doesn't want to be his mate. Zane just wants to die. Can she get out of the life she leads? Can she and Aiden become one? another great read by Kathi S Barton - would recommend to all
