Nine Months of Nature Study: Learning the Forest School Way

This curriculum evolved over five years of teaching forest school in Alaska. I created three lessons and one field trip for each month of a typical school year. Each lesson was developed to encourage independent exploration and learning. The lesson starts with a topic introduction for the leader and then guides the learner to set off and explore that topic.
