Gary Shapiro is the president and CEO of the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA®), the U.S. trade association that represents more than two thousand consumer electronics companies, and owns and produces the annual International CES, the most important innovation-oriented trade show in the world. As head of the CEA® for more than three decades, he has effectively ushered the consumer electronics industry through major periods of technological upheaval and transformation.

Shapiro is the New York Times bestselling author of The Comeback: How Innovation Will Restore the American Dream. A regular columnist for the Huffington Post, Forbes, and the Daily Caller, he has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and the Washington Post. He also appears regularly on Fox News, CNN, CNBC, and C-SPAN.

I work in this field since a very long time in France. I bought this book during last CES. This is one of the books that I found the most useful to understand what is innovation and how to innovate. The examples are very practical. Per example, in reading this book, the decision makers will understand that innovation is indispensable to improve the competitiveness of the worldwide economy. All experts and no-experts interested by innovation need to read this book and will share what Gary explains quite well : the innovate-or-die economy.

With all of the dysfunction in Washington DC, why aren't more people talking about this??? Our country needs this more than ever. Great advice from someone uniquely positioned to provide insight into the most successful companies. Well worth your time.

Holds the katana " in traditional japanese style you hold it with two hands but since this is the way of the ninja the ninja sword or katsukani you have hold it with one hand and its shorter about 5 and a half inches "
