Veronica Cruz has been through hell and back. After disconnecting with the world two years ago to be at the side of her dying mother, shes left alone, unemployed, overweight, and feeling a decade older than her twenty-eight years. When her best friend coaxes her into joining the local gym to ditch her depression and rejuvenate her life, she meets Noah. Assigned to help Veronica lose weight, Noah is everything she expected a young trainer to beperfectly chiseled, supportive and motivating. Add to that, hes incredibly sexy. Hes everything shes ever looked for in a man. What she least expected was for him to fall for her, but he has. There's just one glaring problem: Noah is eight years younger.

Noah Quintanilla has his eye on a boxing titlesomeday. Down for a few months with an injury, his maintenance-boy pay at 5th Street Gym won't cut it. Hes finally given the opportunity to train. The catch? His trainee is an out-of-shape woman with a free week pass. Taking on the challenge, Noah stumbles into one of the closest friendships hes ever known, and before he knows it, hes in love. But Veronicas not having itthe age difference is too much. Their platonic relationship means having to watch her date other mensomething that would make him crazy. Believing he's the man for her, Noah sets out to prove that age is but an illusion, and there's more to him than just a number.

Noah is the beginning of a new romantic series from Elizabeth Reyes centered on a small rustic gym called 5th Street. When Veronica is dragged into the 5th St. Gym by her best friend Nellie, she is at least 40 lbs overweight and depressed from her mother's long sickness and subsequent death. Having hid in her house and let herself go, Roni is anything but confident and certainly not who Noah wanted to train. Noah, a 20 year old trainer/boxer, finally gets his shot at training through the gym and his first clients are Roni and Nellie. Even though Noah feels he is taking it easy on Roni, she fully intends to never come back. However, Nellie makes Roni promise to follow through with her training and pull herself out of her depression. What Roni doesn't count on is the close friendship and attraction that develops between her and Noah. Roni refuses to entertain anything but a friendship with Noah because she is 8 years his senior. She feels as a 20 year old he is not ready for a relationship and needs to enjoy sowing his wild oats. Noah is an orphan who has had to grow up fast and mature through his experiences in the foster care system. What develops is a toe tingling anticipation of a building relationship forged through friendship. Nobody writes Alpha Males quite like Elizabeth Reyes. Noah develops the same posessive stare that declares Roni off the market to his fellow Gym members. Soon, Noah moves into Roni's house as a roommate which quickly ups the intimacy between him and Roni. One of the sexiest things in a romance is when a male character is in love and will stop at nothing to get his girl. Noah decides Roni is his girl and is determined to make her see that age is an illusion. I can't wait for Gio's book, the next in this series. Reyes has developed a loveable and sexy cast of characters that I can't wait to see in future books. If you love Noah, definitely check out the Moreno series!!! There is something about those Moreno men.

It just goes on and on with silly repetitness. Not much story to it. Got #2 of the series free, so ordered#1 to read first. A waste of $3. The characteres are not strong and the main female is so wishy washy

Could have used a little more action instead of waiting until almost the end of the book. But I still really enjoyed reading it. So far there has not been one book by Elizabeth Reyes that I have not thoroughly enjoyed. She creates real characters with flaws. They are not perfect, they have issues like the rest of us. It helps me to be able to connect with the characters better. Of coarse what's not to like about Noah. Not only physically but he is rather sweet to Roni and it just makes him that much more likable. We get to see Roni and Noah's relationship grow throughout the entire book. Also each character developed throughout the book. Instead of just one needing to grow up or get over their own issues they both do. Noah with the realizing he is ready for a committed relationship and Roni with her appearance and her ready to get out and live life again. Once I started the book I couldn't stop. I am looking forward to reading more about the 5th street boys. Even though there wasn't much action/steaminess Elizabeth Reyes has yet to disappoint me with her novels

This was a bit juvenile for me. The heroin was irresponsible hosting underage drinking parties. Although I love fantasy, This was off. Unbelievable no cops showed up.

I have to finish a book once I start reading it but this book is a snore. Occassionally I found myself smiling or laughing but I never connected to Roni or Noah. I just didn't feel their connection. I might add it was written very childishly. They didn't act their ages at all. No excitement either. Somehow everyone knew what the other person was thinking or feeling. Very unrealistic. I had to read it because it's rated so well but I don't understand how it is. Very hard to finish but I did and thank goodness, I can move onto a better book now...hopefully.

OH. MY. YUMMM! After anxiously awaiting this newest series by Eliabeth I was not disappointed. The characters are very appealing and the story line is fabulous. It is well worth every penny. Beware that you you wont be able to step away once you start reading. Encore! Encore! Encore! Adult read.

Not a bad read just not a great read. I was entertained but was expecting a little more. Noah for me acted like his age although he "tried" to prove his maturity. But, it is what it is. If youre on the fence give it a shot, I wont be buying anymore of the series but enjoyed this enough to say it was good.
