I have no idea why this book got so many good reviews. It was awful! Boring, slow, not sexy at all like the reviews claim. It was one of the worst books I have ever read and I read everyday. No I do not recommend this book.

Not Quite Perfect ( Oakland hills Series Book 3 ) By: Gretchen Galway This is the third book in the Oakland Hills Series.  I had not read the first two , But I had no problems following the story or the characters. You might want to go back and read the first two books in the series to find out more about the Johnson family, but this is not necessary.  Not Quite Perfect is a romantic comedy and Gretchen Galway did an awesome job Penning the story and bringing her characters alive. I laughed and could not read fast enough to see what was going to happen next. I can say one thing , you do not get bored reading Not Quite Perfect. I loved the two main characters April Johnson and Zach Fain. To me these two are as different as day is to night.. April was a wild sister to her brothers growing up. The brothers settled down to jobs, one married and the other engaged. April goes through one job after another as a temp. Boyfriends the same way. April is down on her luck and returns home to her mother, Oh and she has a three legged dog that will eat anything and I mean anything. I laughed at it so mush till I almost was crying. April plans on working for her brother Liam in the Art department at Fite Fitness. She plans on leaving men off completely. Zach Fain is thirty-two and a Widower. He is hired by Fite Fitness to help the company get back on its feet. He is still not over his dead wife and does not want to get involved with anyone till he meets April. This story will make you laugh and keep those pages turning. I really enjoyed this romance comedy and I am sure you will too. I was given an ARC copy from the author for my honest review , and I have given it.

This third book in the Oakland Hills series may be my favorite Gretchen Galway book to date. The characters felt very real to me, and the drama seemed natural and believable, not contrived as it so often is in a romance. And speaking of romance, I LOVED the way the relationship developed between the main characters in "Not Quite Perfect." At several points in the story, I actually felt a physical sensation in my chest when I read a particularly "awwwww!" part. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who likes love and romance, period. I'm sure I'll read it more than once, myself!

Once I started Not Quite Perfect I couldn’t put it down until the end.  I finished at 2:05 am.  I did not want it to end I enjoyed it so much.  As you read April’s story you find yourself wishing you could call her your friend.  Zack is a “perfect” match for her and a very sexy character in a nerdy kind of way.  I like that you get an update on the lives of her two brothers Liam (Love Handles) and Mark (this time Next Door).  Don’t worry, you don’t have to read the other books to enjoy this one but I highly recommend that you do so, they are wonderful.  Gretchen creates characters that are real, fun, and heartwarming.  She writes her stories filling them with laughter, some tears, and loads of love.
