I know better than to start a trilogy before it's finished, and Anna Zaires is the queen of cliff-hangers! That said, this one may be worth the pain. Love Peter and Sara... just really hope she writes fast!

Warning, though I try my best to avoid this, all reviews can contain spoilers of some kind. If you would like to know just my overall opinion of the book and otherwise go into reading it blind, please scroll down to my overall and would I recommend it section. Human emotions are a pot full of boiling complications with a dash of crazy, and love is the most complex one of them all. Sara’s learning this better than anyone as her and Peter’s story continues. At the end of book one, Sara finds out the FBI is closing in on her tormentor, Peter. Despite her terror, she can’t stop the mounting feelings she has for the man who has been forcing his way into her life. When she gets the chance to tell the FBI where he is and get their help, she ignores it. Sara tells herself she made the choice because her father’s heart isn’t as strong as a bull, and the thought of what the stress of needing FBI’s protection could be fatal. As Peter gently takes care of her headache, she realizes she wants him safe and she wants his love. The last thing she does before the needle pricks her neck is warn him about the FBI he already knows about. Peter is determined to make Sara his no matter the cost, even when it costs her everything she’s ever loved. When she warned him, he felt confident that knocking her out with the needle full of drugs he had waiting was the right decision to make. Her warning him had to mean she wanted this on some level, and if not he knows he will find a way to make her want him as much as he wants her. What. A. Story! I mean I get into well written dark romances, but falling in love with them is not something I tend to do. The tension is high starting with the very first line, and the extreme lengths Peter is willing to go just to make sure he stays with the women he loves is frightening yet heart melting. This isn’t your typical “he wants to be a better man for her so he will change himself to do so” kind of thing, more like he wants a home, family, and the kind of safe peace a gun and training can’t give him. He realizes he wants Sara’s love but at the same token he knows he can’t pretend to be something he’s not, so instead he is going to try and carve out a world where they can be together. Somehow this raw truth approach to a love story really touched me. Don’t get me wrong, living with a killer is not the fairy tail happy ending I have in my head, but real honesty in a relationship is very refreshing and in this case challenging at the same time. Sara is more confused by her feelings than ever in this book and the intensity of her situation finally sets in. She wants and loves Peter and she’s starting to admit that to herself, however she also wants her old life back. The way this plays out really makes my heart break for her. I can feel how much she cares about him and the sting she feels for the loss of her independence. The character development shown in this book is really good. Both Peter and Sara start to change from the situation they find themselves in and the feelings they have for each other. While Peter can’t change who he is, he does find his heart warming from its icy tomb. I adore how he starts to show signs of really wanting to live again how he wants a life that isn’t just about death. The way he starts to do everything for Sara in an attempt to win her love rather than use threats to force her to act like it, really pulled me in.

I loved the first book in this series, and the second turned a little darker as Peter’s obsession got more and more intense for Sara. The story picks up right where the cliffhanger for book one leaves off. We find Sara stolen from her life. Peter is unrepentant and can’t understand why Sara doesn’t love him. On the one hand, he understands what he is doing is wrong but he just doesn’t care. He has decided Sara is his and will do anything to keep her. The sex scenes between the two are intense and get more brutal as Peter’s obsession grows. Sara continues to be torn, she wants to escape, yet she wants Peter like she has no other. He is her twisted craving. Because Peter’s obsession started to get darker and I started to like him less book two only receives 4 Boundless Stars. I am not sure at this point if I want an HEA or I want Sara to escape, I think by the end of their story, which I believe will be in the next book, I would be satisfied with either.

Obsession Mine (Tormentor Mine Book 2)- Anna Zaires Book 2 in this trilogy continues with Peter and Sara’s story. This time the majority of the story takes place in a very secret hideaway where Sara is totally cut off from the outside world except for occasional brief supervised calls to her parents. Sara has to not only adjust to her new surroundings (luxurious yet isolated) while she wrestles her rollercoaster of feelings for Peter. She also gets to know his “men” a little better as they fall into a strange sort of daily routine. Sara can’t reconcile her love/hate/fear feelings for Peter but she’s finally admitted she does care for his safety. Sexually she and Peter are explosive and Sara would never refuse him. Peter’s obsession for Sara only grows exponentially to the point where he’s even imagining a future with her. The book also lets us glimpse into his horrendous childhood. He’s the perfect attentive, loving , sexy lover, (other than the fact that he has kidnapped Sarah) he’s the perfect boyfriend. As in the author’s other dark romances this couple’s story is a gripping rollercoaster of emotions for the reader. There is also suspense, danger and adventure that surrounds Peter and his “business”. There is a cliffhanger of an ending which just may tie in many of the three series together.

Apparently this series will be a trilogy....ugh....I love her stories and hate waiting for the next in a series! This being the 2nd in the trilogy, it's in a hard place. The newness and the excitement of the first book isn't there and yet there is no resolution either. A lot of things happen but it doesn't go anywhere. We do get to visit w Lucas and Yulia and see where they are in their lives. In my review of Capture Me series, I was not a great fan of Yulia. And again she uses her sexual wiles to get Lucas to do her bidding. She doesn't trust him enough to keep Sara safe and in the end she endangers Sara and Lucas! In this book Peter essentially kidnaps Sara. As much as Sara comes to care for him she just can't go along with the kidnapping and of course her husband's murder. From Peter's perspective, he falls more in love? obsessed? with Sara. He spends much of the book obsessing(which got old) and trying to convince Sara of his feelings. Frankly, I like Peter from the 1st book.....mysterious and slightly scary. The Peter from this book came off at times as pathetic. Of course the sex scenes were hot and totally believable between these two. All in all, a solid 2nd book in the trilogy.....and now the wait begins for the final book!

3.5 Stars As I said in my review of the first book in this series, Tormentor Mine, (which should be read first) I consider this series more of a gray romance than a dark romance - based on my personal scale of what I consider to be dark romances. As with all of this author's books, the writing is technically perfect, with less than a handful of editing errors, but I don't have a strong emotional connection to this series, perhaps because it comes across as an almost kind of clinical perfection? Though the setting and circumstances have changed in book two, the main conflict is still Sara's wavering between hating Peter and her feelings for him. As in the first book, I feel this is almost a realistic portrayal of how a woman in her situation would feel (albeit if she is taken by a sexy, rich criminal that she is insanely attracted to and who treats her like a queen) but I have to confess that after two whole books of her struggles I grew a little bored with that dynamic. I liked having Peter's men in the story, and learning more about Peter's background. Mentions/appearances of character's featured in previous series by this author are a nice touch as well. The story ends on what I call a "soft cliffhanger" and will be continued in "Destiny Mine", which I will definitely read.

Ms. Zaires is a uniquely brilliant story teller and in my opinion her stories and craft keep getting better and better. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the second installment of Tormentor Mine, Sara and Peter’s second book. I found that the second installment was one of transition, one of solidifying for Peter what he feels for Sara and of Sara coming to terms with who Peter is and what he wants from her. But Sara’s feelings are still very torn (which I found realistic) and the story continues. How is Peter going to be able to convince Sara that he is what she wants? So many possibilities and so many options, and just one more book to go. While the book ends in a cliffhanger (and we were warned) I found it to be a mild one that just sets up the next book. *****Mild Spoilers************* I found that the story compelling and I SO wanted to know what was going to happen. I enjoyed reading about Peter’s men and their hide outs and seeing them also struggle with what actually taking Sara away from her family and life is. It was good to see them as people not just shadows in the night (I hope one of them or all get books!!!). We learn more about what happened to Peter and why he reacts the way he does. There is a reason Peter doesn’t do normal or can do normal—who could as an orphan and without any mentor he becomes the “perfect” weapon for the Russian government. Dating and courting is not part of their life. It cannot be. I want Peter to get his HEA he deserves it notwithstanding the darkness of who he is. Sara has the toughest time in this book. Who she is, who she owns loyalty, what her moral fiber demand are all in conflict. She also doesn’t believe Peter truly loves her. She cannot believe he does because how can he. I know for some she came as annoying or immature but I found it truly brilliant the way her conflict is that she wants Peter but she cannot reconcile it with who she is and her obligations to her parents and work. The reason I gave this book 4 stars instead of 5—is that the last 1/3 of the book felt rushed and most of the action happened then. Thus I felt left with too many open issues and while I loved seeing Lucas and Yulia again the whole set up felt a little flat to me. The escape attempt, why Yulia acted the way she did, and what happens afterwards didn’t all come together for me. That being said I have read it twice now and absolutely cannot wait for the 3rd book to come out!!! That is my other pet peeve I am not sure I like the open ended answer of 2018---- that just teaches me that from now on I have to wait to all of them are out because it feel so anxious and I want to know NOW! Well done Ms. Zaires what a talented author.

Received ARC version for a free review I adsolutly love Anna Zaires' writing and creativity. Obsession Mine resumes Peter and Sara's story from Tormenter Mine and the struggle of wills captures your attention. My only critique is that I wish the character dynamic wasn't so similar to the TwistMe & CaptureMe series; it comes across as a little repetitive in the emotional character discovery. Overall, this installments didn't disappoint and I cant wait for the next book of this story.

It’s here, finally! Oh, how I‘ve waited for OBSESSION MINE, the second book in Anna Zaires’ Tormentor Mine trilogy to be released! And it’s as deliciously dark and gritty as I hoped it would be and more, Peter’s deadly obsession with Sara slowly becoming my addiction as well. And, oh, Peter Sokolov. Tall, dark and handsome – possessive and dangerous – and simply not a good man – a monster, as Sara so often likes to call him. And yet he treats her like nothing but a queen in every aspect that counts, well, apart from the two minor ones: setting her free and in the bedroom. Because Sara is his, irrevocably, utterly, until death does them part – there is no need to exchange vows for him to know that. His obsession with her is borderline unhealthy, and when he has to leave the country to dodge the FBI, he simply kidnaps Sara and takes her with him – easy as. And Sara… She knows she should loathe the man that stole so much more than just her former life, that Peter is bad news, deadly, creepy and twisted and simply wrong. And she does fight this undeniable attraction to him with every bone in her body – but feels that she is losing spectacularly, that she somehow, to some degree, craves Peter’s darkness, his roughness – even more so when she learns more about his past and the events that shaped the man he is today… Book one was great, but this one was absolutely fabulous! I became so much more intrigued by all things Peter, the walking contradiction this man poses, by the all-consuming, slightly dark-tinged affection he is showering Sara with. Maybe I even got a bit obsessed with all the secrets being revealed myself. Boundaries are pushed, panties set on fire by the explosive tension and the wickedly dirty sex between the two of them. And then there was this cliffhanger… ugh! It’s nasty, it’s evil – at least when you’ve read other books by this author and loved its characters as well. Again, I will be waiting on pins and needles for the sequel (and conclusion) of this dark yet emotional tale. Bring on Destiny Mine!

While I'm still reading Obsession Mine, I've enjoyed every word. the character development is complex and the plot compelling.

If a whining heroine is your thing, this book is for you. I was (along with many people) so excited for this book to come out. Unlike many people, I didn't enjoy it much. Peter is as hot as ever. He loves Sara and tries his best to convince her of it. But Sara is having none of it. For someone who is a doctor she acts like a spoiled 16 year old much of the time. Her character shows no growth in this book at all. Waiting with baited breath for the next one. Hopefully It will be as good as all the ones before Obsession Mine were. This one left me very disappointed.

Peter and Sara's story continues in Obsession Mine as it delves deeper into their troublesome situation. Peter is determined to keep Sara, even if that means locking her away all to himself and Sara is determined to continue to guard her heart. Just when I thought this book could not possibly get any better, it goes and gets better. Never have I been so involved in a book EVER! It's twisted and dark but it's also so touching and emotional. It wrecked my feelings and had me emotionally confused more times than I could count. One minute I want to just hate Peter but it's simply not possible because more times than not I found my heart breaking for the two of them instead, for different reasons of course. And the ending!!!! It has me pulling out my hair with the need to know MORE! I can't wait for the next book to see what's to come of all of this. I could type on and on about this book but I don't want to give away any spoilers. But just know that this book will put you on an emotional roller coaster, so hang on tight.  I reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Anna Zaires never fails to blow my mind! since reading Twist me series i became one of her fans I loved every word of this book , it's was so worth waiting her writing is always flawless and unique. Obsession mine start exactly where Tormentor Mine ends up , Peter drugging Sara and kidnapping her so he literally took her choices away . Sara of course doesn't accept her new life which I really liked and she started struggling and having an inner war with herself resisting and denying her true feeling for Peter she just can't get over the fact that he killed her husband just like he can't forget the role that George had play in his family massacre , so she tried to distance herself and create some barriers between them and fight the physical attraction but Peter knows no boundaries . The dynamic was fantastic , There was some serious chemistry there and so much sexual tension! that will bring you strong and raw emotions that'll leave you feeling more intrigued . the ending just made me more excited to see what will happen in the next book  Just read it you won't regret it !!!

OMG! You know a book is good when you get to the last page and you sit there in a daze. Yeah, this is one of those. I read it in one sitting, holding my breath the entire time, and I sat there staring into space for about 10 minutes after I finished. Without saying anything about the story all I can tell you is how this story made me feel. It is emotional, intense, sexy, breathtaking, and that ending...OMG! I am so addicted to Anna Zaires and this series.
