One of New York Times bestselling author Samantha Young's most beloved couples returns for the first time in a brand new novella set ten years after her blockbuster bestseller Before Jamaica Lane...

Nate and Liv have a great life together but they miss the spontaneity and freedom they enjoyed early on in their romance. Careers and their children have inevitably kept them busy, so when Nate discovers Liv is feeling disconnected from him, he plans an anniversary trip to the idyllic seaside town of Hartwell, Delaware. There he hopes they will have the opportunity they've been craving--a chance to reinvent themselves and fall in love all over again.

With each new day comes a new adventure, from wedding crashing at the five-star boardwalk hotel to pretending they are two strangers having a chance encounter at the boardwalk bar. In the midst of this daring, sexually-charged game of romantic rediscovery, Nate and Liv discover the only constant they need is each other.

So when the author announced a new story, albeit a short story, featuring my favorite couple, I was so excited and could NOT wait! In fact, I rarely, if ever, pre-order an e-book. But I was on the edge of my seat, finger hovering over my mouse ready to purchase it as soon as I had the chance. But when I started it, wow, that first little prologue, I was crying. And then when I jumped into the story, I was crying. I couldn't believe the author was putting my poor favorite couple through that. But later one, when the little part at the beginning fits into the story later on, it wasn't so bad. Nate's behavior, while maddening to Liv (and me), fit him perfectly based on how we knew him from his story. Of course getting back to all the On Dublin Street gang made me feel like I need to go back and read the whole series again. Not only that, but I am still impatiently waiting for the next chapter of the Hart's Boardwalk story. Which reminds me I need to go bug the author about when that story is coming.

Review: ON HART’S BOARDWALK: An On Dublin Street Novella by Samantha Young Publication Date: March 20, 2018 Genre: Contemporary Romance Reviewed by: Reading in Pajamas/ Cori Rated 4.5 Stars This novella gave me all the feels! It was just what I needed. I loved catching up with Nate and Liv! ON HART’S BOARDWALK is a novella in Samantha Young's On Dublin Street Series and features one of my favorite couples in the series, Nate and Liv, the couple in BEFORE JAMAICA LANE. I'd recommend reading BEFORE JAMAICA LANE before picking up this novella because the story takes place after the couple is married. The series features different couples in each book and they’re all great. Hot romance, great characters and feel-good love stories make this series addicting. I recommend this series for all contemporary romance lovers. *Review copy provided by Penguin in exchange for an honest review.

All romance fans love a happy ever after, but what happens with the couple ten years down the road? Did they achieve everything they set out to do? Are they still madly in love, crazy about each other? How have their lives changes? Samantha Young expands on the lives of Nate a Liv in On Hart’s Boardwalk, novella #6.7 of her On Dublin Steet series. The two protagonists made for a fun, sultry and touching read in Before Jamaica Lane, but two children, their respective careers and ten years later, impulsiveness is impossible and doubt has been creeping in. But Nate has a plan which involves traveling to the other side of the world and prove to Liv just how much he’s grown to love her over the past decade. It’s not often readers get to see into the future of their favorite couples. Of course there are books with epilogues that serve this purpose, but they’re often short and meant to give a glimpse without overshadowing the main story. Oh Hart’s Boardwalk provides the angst over the routine and disconnect experienced by a lot of couples over time but it also gives us the new adventure the couple embarks on in order breathe new life into their relationship with a lot of swoon worthy moments along with delicious sexy times. Young does a wonderful job of giving fans more of their favorite couple while making the story a standalone for new readers to enjoy. If you loved Nate and Liv, you’ll fall along with them all over again and if you’re a newcomer to the series, you’ll meet two wonderfully flawed yet appealing characters, be able to relate with their couple’s issues, get to see how they overcome them, and most likely want to read their entire story. On Hart’s Boardwalk is novella #6.7 of the On Dublin Street series by Samantha Young. It is a standalone contemporary romance, with a happily ever after and epilogue.

4.25 stars-ON HART’S BOARDWALK is instalment 2.5 of Samantha Young’s contemporary, adult HART’S BOARDWALK romance series that in turn is a spin-off from the author’s ON DUBLIN STREET series. ON HART’S BOARDWALK is a continuing look at Nate and Olivia Sawyer (Before Jamaica Lane) as they approach Olivia’s fortieth birthday, and the celebration of ten years of marriage. ON HART’S BOARDWALK can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines (in either series) is revealed where necessary. Told from first person point of view (Olivia Sawyer) ON HART’S BOARDWALK is a heartbreaking story that fast forwards ten years in the life of Nate and Olivia, as our heroine struggles with the approach of her fortieth birthday, and the apparent loss of affection from the man that she loves. Nate and Olivia’s love life has lost the spontaneity and romance with the birth of two children, busy lifestyles and busier jobs but Olivia has always battled issues of low self-esteem that are currently exacerbated by her husband’s apparent disinterest, and the approach of her fortieth birthday. Nate will overhear Olivia talking to her friends, and in this Nate struggles to accept Olivia’s concerns. What ensues is the couple’s battle to move forward, and bring the romance and spontaneity back into their lives as they head to America and Hartwell Delaware to celebrate their ten year anniversary. ON HART’S BOARDWALK is both a heartbreaking and heart warming story; an emotional roller coaster ride as one man struggles with the loss of a friend, and one woman battles issues of the past that continue to affect her self-esteem and ability to let go. The secondary and supporting characters are familiar, colorful and fun; the romance is sexy, provocative and inspiring. ON HART’S BOARDWALK is an uplifting and spirited look at a rekindling romance that had yet to completely fall apart.

More On Dublin Street? Sign me up, please! On Dublin Street is one of those series that I can never get enough of and will never, ever tire of. So, when I heard that Nate and Liv were getting a novella, I couldn’t wait to dive into it. Nate and Liv have the life they’ve always dreamed of: perfect family, loving marriage and busy jobs. But, somewhere along the way, these two started to drift. The idea of being disconnected terrifies Liv and makes her doubts. So, when Nate surprises Liv with a romantic anniversary getaway, this might just be what these two needed to reignite their fires… On Hart’s Boardwalk was a quick and easy read for me. Since it is a novella, I had no problem devouring it in just a few short hours. From the moment I picked this book up and started reading, it felt as though no time had passed. I easily fell into Nate and Liv’s story. One of the things that I really loved about Nate and Liv was how easy they were to relate to. The problems and fears were real and are close to what a lot of couples go through. Romance isn’t always hearts and flowers. There will be tough times, and I for one really enjoyed seeing how Nate and Liv would tackle the heard times. On Hart’s Boardwalk was well written and entertaining. I loved how it mixed the On Dublin Street Series with the Hart’s Boardwalk one. I thought that the two blended very well together and I enjoyed visiting with the characters form Hart’s Boardwalk. On Hart’s Boardwalk might be a quick read, but I promise you, Samantha Young does not disappoint. In this novella, she has managed to give us a heartfelt and realistic story that is filled with heart, love, angst and fight. It hit all the marks for me and left me begging for more. On Hart’s Boardwalk is a wonderful quick read to spend the afternoon getting swept away in.

What a sweet look into Olivia and Nates future. I loved seeing them with children and how they still go through the normal rough patches a couple would after years together. I'm such a fan of seeing couples with their kids. Especially when the father used to be a major player. Nate was adorable with his girls. The author gave us a realistic look into the couples future showing that no matter how much you love someone or how long you have been together, you still have to work hard to make a relationship work. And what a great way to show how they overcome that rough patch. I've only read the On Dublin Street series but I am so intrigued by the Hart's Boardwalk series after seeing these two worlds collide when Nathan and Olivia vacation at the Boardwalk meeting the characters from the other series. I loved getting this great extended epilogue for such a great couple! ARC provided by NetGalley.
