This book was a page turner till the end for me. Follow Sarah, Ian, and a few others as they try to stop a disgusting man from doing bad things in an all girl's school in the name of teaching them how to be a good wife. I definitely need to go to the beginning of this series and check it out.

A good story with a great lesson. The overall story was good I just had a bit of trouble getting into it. The moral was great and is well shown throughout the story.

This is a story that is dear to most women’s hearts. Lots of people say women we haven’t come very far we still have so much against us. To some extent this is true but it depends on if you look at the glass half full or half empty. I choose to take my half full glass and run with it. It's story about growth not only for women but men as well. Yes both still get abused but it isn’t as bad as it once was. Now you do have a choice back than you didn’t. I loved watching Sarah and Ian grow learning more about the other and just what all was going on. Sarah slowly learned to trust him and also learn that not all men are abusive and demanding that there are true gentlemen who know how to treat a woman. My mind just doesn’t wrap around a school teaching nothing but how to please a man putting his needs first and for most. The author gives a vivid detail story on this issue about one woman who has no desire to be a wife, her life hasn’t been easy and the man who showed her how different marriage could be. Sarah is sent to a school, so she can learn how things should be, since she doesn’t want to be a wife she isn’t very easily taught which makes the Dean very unhappy. He sends her to Ian to learn but when he learns how bad these ladies are treated he is determined to make it stop and bring the Dean to justice. He and Sarah work together as they find their way to bring justice to so many their love grows. It really is a well written story that touches your heart. The author put a lot of thought into it, giving wonderful characters you can relate to. I thought it was a great read and look forward to reading more from this author.

Ian is given the task of privately instructing Sarah on being a proper wife since Sarah is not taking her classes seriously. She doesn't want to ever marry because of past experiences. Ian and Sarah together learn that the dean of the school is abusing his position and abusing the women he is in charge of instructing. Ian is there to help Sarah overcome her past and know what a relationship is like with a man who values a woman. This was a great story and the historical facts were well researched.

This is a different kind of historical romance and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sarah is a willful student and Ian is her kind-hearted private instructor. What they discover together is foul and vile, and they set out together to right wrongs. I highly recommend this book.
