4 star I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, murder, betrayal, abuse, and heartbreak. This is Kat and Cole’s story. Kat wants to get away from her abusive mother. After her brother rescues her she goes to live with Cole’s family. Cole has wanted Kat for a while but now is his chance to get her. Kat knows she loves Cole but she needs to stick to her plan. Cole is having none of it. He wants her to stay and attend school here. After Kat is threatened Cole just wants to stick as close to her as he can. But what happens when she run into danger? Can he still protect her when she puts herself in danger at every turn? When after months of explaining that she needs to go away to school he still does not listen she knows she must go but she wonders if this is the end of them. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read. I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
