Seriously good read. The honesty is amazing and will definitely give you insight into the hard life of being the child of a mobster.

Not much to this book. After reading it I finally see just how bad of a person Henry Hill really was. How he beat his wife and children. I had planned on buying other books by Henry Hill but will not give that slime ball a penny of my money.

this was a great book and very compelling yOU REALLY HOW HENRY HILL REALLY IS YOU FEEL BAD FOR HIS CHILDREN AND THE HORROR THEY FACED AFTER THE WITNESS PROTECION NOT KNOWING WHEN YOUR FATHER IS COMING HOME AND STILL HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT THE MAFIA TRYING TO HUNT YOUR FAMILY DOWN, USALLY HENRY WOULD COME HOME HIGH OR DRUNK YELLING AND CURSING EVEN HITTING HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN. STILL ON THE RUN TRAVELING THROUGH DIFFERENT STATES INORDER TO HIDE. THIS BOOK WAS ONE OD THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE READ IN A LONG TIME

Read this about the REAL Henry Hill. There's no charm or good looks or good intentions. Just maniacal, hell bent criminality. His children's sufferings are raw accounts of betrayal by the one they love most. Once they were old enough that he couldn't bamboozle them, he happily settled to terrorize them. I felt their heart break because there's a "Henry-type" in my family who left a path of destruction through three generations of our family. Great book, Gregg & Gina, truthful, brave and wonderfully written!

This is not the typical 'mafia' story. It is not a story about goodfellas and mobsters as much as it is a story of what impact a life of crime has on family members. This book gives you insight into the mafia in a way no other book does. At first it started kind of slow and I almost put it down but it really takes off. It is as shocking and as funny as much as the subject matter will allow. I have to say by the books end I really enjoyed it.

This was a great, sad story . After seeing the movie 'Goodfella's' , you form and opinion of Henry Hill through the actor who played him (Ray Liotta). But after reading this book , I have a totally different and apalling view of Henry Hill and how he was as a person, husband and father. I enjoyed reading the view from both children and how different they were. I wish the book was longer. It was very easy reading and the pages flew by.
