ONE YEAR: Volume I
ONE YEAR: Volume 1

Sydnie hated January, the month when the world felt coldest, and the month when her life went darkest.

After 38 years of marriage, a devastating loss upends Sydnie's life, forcing her into a bewildering new reality. With the calendar as her witness, she resolves to chronicle the twelve months of her personal "long winter".

This is not a story of sudden acceptance, but of the messy, often humbling, first steps toward a second chance. From securing a demanding new job to navigating the awkward, unpredictable terrain of modern dating complete with unexpected encounters with a man named Mahlon and his bull breeding business Sydnie discovers that rebuilding a life is anything but neat.

One Year is a poignant, honest, and sometimes humorous look at finding the resilience to continue, the courage to be vulnerable, and the possibility of new love when you thought your entire story was already written. It is a testament to the power of a single year to change everything.
